Lora graduated from West Liberty State College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene. Lora began her career in dental hygiene in Zanesville, Ohio before moving to Columbus in 1985 when she married her husband, Steve. They have two children, Katie and Noah and she lives in Centerburg. Lora joined JFD in April 1988 and enjoys seeing her patients and educating them about their oral health. Lora appreciates the opportunity to have a long-lasting relationship with the staff and patients. Lora enjoys going to the movies, spending time with her family and reading when not working. View Bio
Joan joined JFD in April 1988 after beginning her career in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Sociology with a Certificate of Dental Hygiene from The Ohio State University. Joan has had the opportunity to work with Periodontists and Prosthodontists sharpening her hygiene skills making her an asset to the practice. It is important to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed which is Joan's mission. Joan is married to her husband, Dave. They have 3 children, Jacob, Alex and MaryAnn. When there is a moment of free time, Joan enjoys sewing, gardening and family time.View Bio
Loretta began her career in dentistry after completing the dental assisting program at Dental Assistant Pro in 2006. Loretta has been an integral team member with unlimited skills both at the front desk and assisting the doctors and hygienists. She is a hard worker and always jumps in wherever she is needed to keep the office running smoothly. Loretta goes out of her way to make patients feel comfortable and enjoys working with the public. Loretta loves being part of a practice that cares so much about the patients. Loretta has two young boys, Carter and Chase who she is very devoted to. Mary Kay graduated from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Immediately following graduation, Mary Kay joined Jerman Family Dentistry and her sunny disposition continues to make the office a warm and inviting place. Mary Kay's thorough and competent skills entrust patients to her care. Mary Kay and her husband Nick have three daughters Nora, Mia and Stella. She has enjoyed being home with them while still working part time. Mary Kay's energy and professionalism are true assets to the practice. Dr. Mark grew up in Central Ohio and graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1984. In 1990 he graduated from The Ohio State University in Economics. After several years of working in the dental industry for Patterson Dental Supply, Dr. Mark returned to OSU to fulfill his dream of becoming a dentist like his father. He graduated in 1999 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery and immediately began his dental career with his father.
Dr. Mark and his wife, Debbie, live in Upper Arlington with their two children, Taylor and Jason. Family and friends are very important to Dr. Mark. He enjoys golfing, skiing and traveling with his family.
Dr. Jenn has a simple philosophy in dentistry, which is to treat every patient she meets with compassion, professionalism, and with a gentle touch. It is her goal to educate patients and families and guide them toward optimal oral health with preventative, conservative, high-quality dentistry.
A native of rural West Virginia, Dr. Jenn and her husband, Greg, came to The Ohio State University to pursue post-doctoral education after dental school. Dr. Jenn completed a General Practice/Hospital Dentistry Residency and later an Implant Fellowship. Here, she gained valuable experience in complex treatment planning, cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr. L. Stephen Jerman grew up in Worthington, Ohio and graduated from Worthington High School in 1955. Following his high school graduation, he joined the United State Navy. Upon returning home to Worthington he enrolled in The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating in 1966. Four decades later, his legacy lives on as Jerman Family Dentistry continues.
Dr. Jerman prides himself on having treated many generations of the same family over the course of his career. Known for his gentleness and genuine concern for his fellow man, he has gone above and beyond to care for each of his patients personal needs, including coming in after hours or traveling to senior patients who are unable to leave their homes.
In June 2015, he made difficult the decision to put down his instruments and embrace retirement. However, he continues to fill in for Dr. Mark and Dr. Jenn when they are out of the office and frequently stops by to say hello.
Dr. Jerman now fills his life with some of his other favorite past times, including gardening, landscaping, golfing, attending OSU football and basketball games to cheer on his alma mater, spending the winter months in Florida with his wife, Barbara, and seeing his four beloved grandchildren whenever he can.
