Dr. James Jensen received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University. He enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he received a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree. Dr. Jensen served two years in the United States Army Dental Corps at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. After a brief stint on the staff of the Dental School at the Medical College of Georgia, he accepted an Endodontic residency position at the Ohio State University School of Dentistry and received a Certificate of Endodontics and a Master of Science degree. Dr. Jensen has been practicing endodontics in Canton, Ohio since 1975 and was joined by his son, Dr. Philip A. Jensen, in July, 2005.
Dr. James Jensen is a member of the following organizations: American Association of Endodontists, Ohio Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association and the Stark County Dental Association where he served on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Philip Jensen grew up in North Canton, Ohio and attended Hoover High School. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors in 1997. He then enrolled at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he graduated Cum Laude and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. Following graduation from dental school, he continued his education in Toledo attending a General Practice Residency at the Medical College of Ohio. In 2005, Dr. Jensen completed three years of specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he was named chief resident of the Department of Endodontology and received a Master's Degree in Dental Science. Dr. Jensen was excited to return home to Stark County and join the endodontic practice with his father, Dr. James Jensen.

Excellent so far, even though out of network. I wanted to go to someone local because all the other endodontists are up in Akron for my insurance. I'm glad I did, he was great. I did no feel a thing, even when Novocain was shot into my mouth. If it wasn't for my jaw being open for him to work on the very back tooth, I would have fell asleep. Yes, he's that good. I was ready to go back to work in about an hour, still numb but I was fine.

I had a great experience here. They were able to get me in for an emergency visit. He got my root canal done in one visit because of circumstances that made it better for me to only be numbed once. It was surprisingly quick and painless. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Great dentist office and friendly staff! I had a root canal done in 1 day, and other places wanted to do it in 2 days. Dr. Jensen is excellent! Only pain is from needle and that's expected, but overall 10/10 service!

After suffering with a toothache for several days (over Christmas) I called Monday morning. Dr Jensen was able see me the same day and completed the procedure in one visit. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I wasn't looking forward to the procedure, but it couldn't have gone better. Later in the day I had a little tenderness (huge improvement) and no discomfort the following morning. Definitely 5 stars!

Absolutely wonderfull people! Went for my root canal and it was a very good experience. 4 month later took my son due to trama to the front of his mouth and he fixes him up right then and there, Which he didnt have to do.. All and all a very good professional DR. who cares about his patians

Was impressed by adherence to covid guidelines of masks, distancing and general sanitation in the office. Staff friendly, helpful! The doc gave an honest appraisal of my situation that concluded a procedure was not warranted at this time! Will definitely recommend to family and friends!

Thank you Dr. P. Jensen!!!! Took my anxiety level from 100 to 0 in a matter of minutes. Awesome staff as well! Won't hesitate if I need another root canal in the future! Easier than getting a filling!

Dr Jensen (the son) is a good man. I had a bad tooth and he spent considerable time doing everything he could to help me and to save the tooth. In the end my tooth was too bad to be fixed. But he made that determination and as a result saved me a lot of money. He could have easily finished the job and charged me for it and I would have had to get the tooth pulled several months or a year later anyway. But he knew when to make the call and to walk away from it. He has a great team all around. While he and his assistant was working on my tooth the lady behind the desk was calling all over Canton and Alliance trying to find a dentist appointment for me ASAP so I could get the tooth pulled. Then they gave me copies of my x-rays. I highly recommend this place.
