After going through all that and seeing how it changed the way she felt about herself, she decided orthodontics was the career for her. She marveled over the potential to help improve self-confidence in others.
Dr. Jennings is detail-oriented and actively studies current research and topics in orthodontics. She encourages every patient to be an active participant in their treatment and prides herself in providing the most efficient treatment that results in beautiful smiles.
Dr. Jennings loves the relationships she builds with her young patients, their parents, and their families. Orthodontic treatment typically takes about two years, and thats plenty of time for patients to become a part of her family.
These days, by the time one child completes treatment, a younger sibling is ready to start. Once all the children in a family have had braces, parents often approach Dr. Jennings about treatment for themselves. She sees this as the ultimate compliment.
Being a life-long learner is important to Dr. Jennings. She maintains memberships in several organizations to stay current on treatment techniques, orthodontic research and effective technologies that improve diagnostics and treatment.
She believes in being involved in organizations that help support the profession. These organizations advocate for patients, make sure orthodontists voices are heard in Washington and provide continued education and training.
Dr. Jennings graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with honors in 2003 and then spent an additional two years at the St. Louis University Center for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Jennings is married to Andy Southworth, a financial planner with Kentucky Planning Partners in Louisville. They met at Hanover College, where they both played sports. They have three sons who keep them busy and always remind them of what is important in life.
Brittany meets with our new patients during their first office visit to introduce them to our practice, provide information to patients and parents regarding orthodontic treatment, and explain their particular treatment options. She has been a part of our team since 2007 and has worked in the orthodontic field since 2005.
Laura began her career in the orthodontic field in 1993. She has been a member of our awesome team since 2012. One of her favorite aspects of the job is getting to know our patients during their treatment.
