Dr. Jennifer J. Liu, DDS, MD received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the Ohio State University. She then moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan for her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS).
Dr. Liu attended the University of Florida where she graduated from the College of Medicine and received her Doctorate in Medicine (MD). She also completed a General Surgery Internship and her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with anesthesiology training, at the University of Florida and its affiliated hospitals.
Board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Jennifer J. Liu is uniquely qualified to treat facial and oral disorders. She has an active California medical license and maintains hospital privileges at Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton and Contra Costa Medical Center in Martinez.
She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, California Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, California Dental Association and American Medical Association.

Currently, Dr. Jennifer J. Liu lives in Walnut Creek with her husband, Alan, and her 3 daughters. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, playing tennis, and simply enjoying the quiet moments in life.

Office personnel was horrible & unhelpful when I called to gather information....Doctors should realize the face of their business starts with the front office. Another place I called is where I'll go as front office was extremely helpful not requiring an upfront consultation....trying to get money upfront is big turnoff, plus Dr.lui office is way more expensive and now understand why I received the treatment I did.

I just had my wisdom tooth extracted. I had the best experience. I was nervous about the procedure but they all know how to make me relax. I did not feel any pain at all during the procedure and right after is not too bad at all. They did it all in just about 1hr. The staff are all very friendly. Doctor explained everything to me clearly in a way that i will understand it without no questions. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks to all! 5 of 5 stars -Arnold B

I've had a few procedures done by Dr Liu. Her and her staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I hope I don't have to have surgery again but if I do, I'm going to call Dr. Liu.

I called on a Monday after a weekend of major impacted wisdom tooth pain and they were able to see me for a consultation that very same day. I was so happy to then be scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed the very next day! Dr. Liu was so professional, educated, understanding, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Special thanks to Andrea for the X-rays, kindness, and also excellent service. Wish they could be my regular dentists!

Phase two of my procedure and again, Dr. Liu and her staff were impeccable about every detail. Thank you for such great care! Tere Dr. Liu and her staff were fantastic! She was so detailed about everything she was going to do. She also researched the best way to go about my difficult case. The day of surgery went perfectly. She was so gentle and after surgery my swelling was minimal and my pain was minimal. I highly highly recommend her!

If I could I would give this place no stars. My mother went in with an infected upper molar and doctor did not treat her infection prior to extracting her tooth, therefore after the extraction my mother was in pain for months and all they kept telling her was to use pain killers. But the infection ended up spreading and causing a ulcer/tumor. I would not recommend this place at all. I saw previous reviews and thought it would have been the place to take her unfortunately I was very wrong.

Around July 2021, I Had my infected/wisdom teeth pulled here, great service and efficiency. Had terrible tooth pain prior to my visit, and haven't had a "bad tooth day" since my visit. The process was painless, and recovery was smooth and as predicted. The entire staff is very pleasant, helpful and comforting, before, during and after my procedure. Much thanks, love and respect to Dr Liu and everyone there!

I recently moved to the area and found Dr. Liu's office online. I am so glad I came here. Everyone was extremely helpful and caring before and after my extraction. Dr. Liu also recommended me to a fantastic general care dentist who I am now seeing as well. I can't thank Dr. Liu and her staff enough for all the help. My extraction went extremely smooth and I had little to 0 pain throughout the whole process. 10/10 highly recommend.

staff was very friendly and informative. We were shown a video about procedure that prompted many questions about the procedure. both the doctor and staff were able to to answer all of our questions to our satisfactions. My daughter had some pain after but recovered quickly from her wisdom teeth extraction.

My son had his impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Liu, and I was impressed how great this office was! Very friendly, organized and professional. Very thorough instructions before and after the procedure. The best part was that my son had a smooth recovery and never even had to take the pain medication prescribed. Would absolutely recommend Dr. Liu!

Dr. Liu and her staff are an amazing team! I had my wisdom teeth taken out a few weeks ago and felt super comfortable throughout the entire process. I experienced almost no pain and minimal swelling!!

I was referred here by True Health Dental and was seen the SAME day with Dr. Liu for my consultation (being seen that fast even though we're in a pandemic? I mean if you want to stop reading now that's all I needed in order to make my decision) The following day at 8am I was seen and had both my upper wisdom teeth pulled in less than 40 min! No local anesthesia and didn't feel A THING! I went home and actually went shopping afterwards (thank god for masks amirite?) Basically what I'm saying is.. this place had my back when I was DESPERATELY in pain. Highly recommend! Thank you, thank you!! (Also it's 4:30pm and I'm STILL not in pain what so ever.)

My son UC Berkeley Computer Science Sophomore student did oral surgery 5/20/21 -9:00 am took out 4 wisdom teeth and we expect his pain and uncomfortable at least for 24 hours. The fact is around 4:30 PM and he stop bleeding, no swelling, start to enjoy different flavor ice creams. I was expected he will have pain during the night time and nothing happened. This morning I checked him and everything is smooth. What I learned from Dr. Liu's team, From the office manager Teruko to the medical assistant Angela, they are very warm and clear explain the procedure . Most important Dr. Liu is Top notch Oral Surgent, she explained extremely well, why need surgery, what's the best time and benefit and concern. My son has lots of concern and study before to see Dr. Liu and we both feel we made the excellent choice, we need drive 40 mins each way to see Dr. Liu and it's totally worth it. Thank you for Dr. Liu's team outstanding performance and you made our life easier.

Dr. Lui was very helpful and patient as I needed outside treatments before she was able to extract my wisdom tooth. On surgery day she answered any questions I had, started my IV which I never felt any pain very skilled. As of now a week later I've had no problems and very little swelling. I highly recommend her and her staff, as they were all very helpful and pleasant.

First of all, Dr. Liu's office is very cognizant of the importance of maintaining Covid protocols. After 5 decades of dissatisfaction with the Dental industry as a whole, I was taken aback, both with Dr. Liu's extensive knowledge and her genuine 'bedside' manner. Dr. Liu clearly explains the available treatment options and subsequent treatment plan to me. My questions are always addressed as being as important to her, as they are to me. Thankfully she explains them to me in terms I can understand. Dr. Liu also cares that I understand her answers before moving on. In my opinion, my past treatment was extensive, so I braced myself for immense on-site pain as well as a lengthy pain-filled recovery period. Neither one proved to be the case; very little over the counter pain meds were required. Her extraordinary ability, along with a very professional, caring, and pleasant staff, makes my continued treatment a pleasure to undergo. I imagine that not many people refer to dental procedures as "a pleasure to undergo." Thank you so much Dr. Liu and staff at the Oral Surgery and Implant Center, for improving the quality of my life. I needed an extraction of a rather large tooth. I chose to do local anesthesia instead of sedation. After very thorough explanation they numbed me up, Dr. Liu and her assistant performed the actual extraction in only about 20 minutes. I was surprised how quickly it was completed, and I dare say it was "easy" for me. As long as you can put up with a lot of pressure, drilling / cracking noises, and loud tapping, you can do this. Dr. Liu and her staff are great professionals!
