Dr. Yau is a first-generation Chinese American and a California native. She grew up in Saratoga where she attended Redwood Middle School and Saratoga High School. Because Dr. Yau loves the South Bay and her family still lives in the area, she has decided to come back after receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) at University of California, Los Angeles and her Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Science Degree in Dentistry (M.S.D.) at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Dr. Yau has abundant experience working with both braces and clear aligners as well as using the latest technology and software. She is an American Board Certified Orthodontist, a distinction achieved through commitment to quality orthodontic care. She works closely with dental professionals and is dedicated to provide the best possible care to her patients. Currently, Dr. Yau is also serving as associate faculty at the University of the Pacific. In addition, she continues to maintain active participation with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and Santa Clara County Dental Society, serving in many leadership roles.
Dr. Sasaki is a third-generation Californian who was born and raised in the small community of Reedley in the San Joaquin Valley. He attended Fresno State University and then transferred to the University of California at San Francisco where he received his Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.). Dr. Sasaki continued at the University of California at San Francisco where he received his dental degree (D.D.S.) and his orthodontic degree (Certificate). While in dental school he was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society for academic achievement. He received the Senior Class Awards for outstanding achievement in Orthodontics and Oral Medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Sasaki moved to the Los Gatos area where he started his own orthodontic practice. He has enjoyed the private practice of orthodontics in the same location in Los Gatos since then. Dr. Sasaki now finds it especially gratifying to meet and treat the children of his earlier orthodontic patients.
Dr. Sasaki maintains an active interest in the newest innovations and improvements in the practice of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He maintains active membership in numerous dental professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He has been active in volunteering in the Santa Clara County Dental Society including the Board of Directors, Community Relations Committee, Peer Review and Nominations Committee. He has maintained active membership in the Inter-Bay Orthodontic Study and Disability Group for over 25 years.
Dr Sasaki enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Arlene, and daughter, Kristi. Their family enjoys the small town atmosphere of the Los Gatos / Saratoga area while enjoying the cultural, educational and recreational opportunities of the Silicon Valley and Greater Bay Area. His hobbies include golf, skiing, and tennis.
Carolynwill happily answer all of your questions regarding insurance and payment plans. She has worked with Dr. Yau since 2015 and has a background in Business. Carolyn is also an amazing baker and makes wonderful cupcakes, which are appreciated by the office team and her children!
TT has been a part of this office since 2000. Before that, she worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in orthodontics since 1997. She loves spending time with her daughter Sarah and her son Vincent on the weekends.
Sonia joined our office in 2008 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She has been working since 1988 in the orthodontic field. Her favorite hobbies including fishing with her family and going on walks with her dog, Chucko.
Dr. Jennifer Yau has gone through rigorous training and education and has received orthodontic board certification from the globally recognized American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). To be a board-certified orthodontist means that the individual is committed to lifelong learning and excellent care. Dr. Yau is among the less than 30% of board-certified orthodontists in the U.S.

Amazing staff! For every appointment I was always met with a friendly greeting and goodbye. I did clear aligners for 18 months and I love my new smile :)

I was referred to the office by my general dentist. Jennifer Yau has the best office staff, they are super! I was an Invisalign patient. She always told me if I ever have a problem or question just call. While vacationing in YellowStone, I took the dog with me. Well one night I took them out the brush my teeth and I couldn't find my bottom tray somehow the dog got ahold of it, and I didn't know what to do. So I texted her and she texted me right back! The whole staff is FABULOUS! 1

Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional and friendly place. I was referred to the office by my general dentist. They took X-ray for my son, Dr.Yau is very patient and gave us professional advice,they treat you like family. Dr.Yau is an excellent orthodontist.

Dr. Yau is an excellent orthodontist. She has a positive attitude toward her patients. This has transpired my daughter to have the can do mentality. Now, my daughter loves her smile and she feels confident. Dr. Yau is a good example of an orthodontist that enjoys what she does. And not to forget she always has a smile.

I just had my braces removed last week, and have been loving the way my teeth look. I feel much more confident with my new smile. I'm so glad that I was referred to Dr. Yau's office for my orthodontic treatment by my dentist because the whole team has done a phenomenal job. My treatment lasted for two years during which I underwent a dental implant and two filings. Dr. Yau helped the implant and fillings go very smoothly by communicating directly with my dentist and making sure my teeth are in the right position for the implant/fillings. Also kudos to her whole team at the office, everyone is very nice and really knows their craft.

I have tragically short roots from previous orthodontia work and my teeth had since drifted from their straightened position. After being told by countless dentists/orthodontists that they wouldn't even dream of trying to move my teeth back, Dr. Yau was the first to take a chance on me and with her track record, convinced me to trust her to try. The treatment took extra long to avoid further damage to my roots but my teeth were successfully aligned! Honestly didn't think it was possible. Definitely would recommend Dr. Yau and her staff.

Upon a friend's recommendation, I went to Dr. Yau's clinic for invisalign treatment and I am glad that I did. I wasn't too sure what my options were and Dr. Yau took her time explaining the pros/cons of the various treatments. Not only were my teeth well-cared for, I felt educated throughout the invisalign process. Despite COVID and my work travels, I still am able to receive treatment remotely when I'm out of town, and the clinic has been very accommodating to my busy schedule. I am with the clinic for 2+ years now & nearing the end of my treatment, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yau (and her staff!)
