Shannon is a Portland native and Del Mar College graduate. She graduated from Del Mar College in 2010 with a degree in Dental Hygiene; she has been a hygienist for Dr. Jennifer since 2011. Shannon strives to find new ways to help patients improve their oral health.
Shannon and her husband Jason have two children, Reid and Sawyer; as well as, two dogs. Shannon volunteers for her children's sports teams and works with the Children's Council at her church. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, running, and cooking.
Alexandria began her career with us in 2017, and has been making a positive impact with our patients ever since by focusing on improving her patients oral health while maintaining a comfortable environment.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Alexandria has called South Texas home for over 6 years now. When not at work, she and her husband, Colby, enjoy traveling and going to the beach. They also have two cats Marley and Milo.
With 21 years of dental experience and knowledge, Kerri was welcomed to our office in 2017. She can help to provide you with answers for any questions you may have to help with any of your treatment needs.
Mariana has been a registered dental assistant for 10 years with experience in Cosmetic, Orthodontic, and General Dentistry. She has been working for Dr. Jennifer for six years and enjoys helping patients with their dental needs.
Dr. Jennifer has been a resident of Portland her whole life. After graduating from dental school in 1990 she returned home and joined her father, Dr. R. E. Sterns III dental practice. Throughout her (almost) 30 years of practice, Dr. Jennifer has focused on furthering her education and has added traditional orthodontics, one day crowns, as well as Invisalign to her practice. She has always stayed on top of technology, offering only the best for her patients.
Dr. Jennifer has raised three beautiful children, a son, Shea and two daughters, Jordyn and Andi. Shea and Jordyn are both college graduates and Andi is looking forward to her high school graduation and following in her mother's footsteps at Sam Houston State in the fall.

It was my first time visiting this dental office. My first impression was I'm going to like coming here. The place is clean and decorated nicely. The staff is professional knowledgeable and kind. I was very happy with the variety of services offered. I am super happy to have a place where my daughter and I can be seen in the same office by the same dentist.

Dr. J. Duncan is the perfect Dentist. She is not only extremely competent and an expert in her chosen profession, she has beautiful bedside/chair side manner. Her staff demonstrate professional courtesy, are accommodating, polite, informative and competent in their positions. Overall that speaks volumes about Dr. J. Duncan as professional and a person. Great experience, I highly recommend her if your looking for a dentist. She is extremely knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Her staff works with you on appointments to get you seen as soon as possible, and the Tech's were great as well.

The cleanest dental office I've ever been in. Dr Jennifer Duncan and her staff are simply amazing. Had a permanent crown done in two hours. She has an in-house lab. Only the very best equipment latest and greatest. It was a pleasure spending 2 hours in there getting a filling and a crown. Best dental experience ever! Thank you again for being so gentle and simply amazing. Would highly recommend anyone in the area to go to her.

I went in there and asked if they could pull my wisdom tooth out if not I could go somewhere else, they said yes that they would do it. When the dentist saw me she did one x-ray, came back in and basically told me she didn't have time to pull out my wisdom tooth and reffered me to a oral surgeon. It was a waste time and money!

Very friendly crew. I was able to get a same day appointment with them after my retainer broke, and I was a new patient. They were up front about pricing and didn't give me the run around of "additional" costs that may or may not be there. They are very reasonable with their pricing. Since then I have had my retainer fixed twice and had to negotiate a new fee for that service. The damage from my retainer was from flossing only.

They broke my permanent retainer during my first cleaning, and made me pay to have it fixed. About 6 months later and its broken in the same spot they "fixed". Now a filling they did broke and I have to go pay to get that fixed as well. Will not go back, do not recommend.
