Dr. Jennifer Brooks attended the University of Florida both for undergraduate (BS Zoology 97) and dental schools (DMD 02); She joined the San Anselmo community in 2015 when she moved to the Bay Area with her husband Jason and two children, Ava and Miles; after living in Atlanta for 10 years, and most recently, London for 3 years. She and Jason are delighted to finally make Fairfax their permanent home.
In the practice, Dr. Brooks emphasizes open communication, conservative treatment, and beautiful, natural looking restorations to support optimal oral health. She enjoys the camaraderie of the dental practice setting among the doctor, patients and staff, and truly feels that being a dentist is the best job in the world!
She was named to Incisal Edge Magazines Top 40 dentists under 40 a few (cough, clears throat) years ago; she is an active member of the Marin County Dental Society, and is a member of a local chapter of Spears study clubs, a group of dentists in the community who meet monthly to learn together, share complex cases with each other and generally support one another professionally. She enjoys attending roughly double the required continuing education courses per year, because, as her children like to remind her, she is a total nerd. She would call it commitment to providing her patients with the most advanced care and knowledge of latest research and techniques, but you know, kids
I feel blessed to have more than 30 years experience in dentistry. I graduated from Orange Coast College Dental Assisting in 1982 (yikes). I have been a Chairside Assistant, Surgical Assistant and Dental Assisting Instructor. I have had the opportunity to work along some very talented dentists and staff. Never a day goes by where I dont try to learn something new.
I have, over the years, been able to live in wonderful places, like Alaska, Louisiana, Hawaii, New Jersey, Michigan and of course California, my home. I have three awesome adult children and two beautiful grandchildren. My interests are varied, from outrigger paddling, hiking, skiing and reading. Happily, most of my free time is spent playing with my grandchildren.
I look forward to sharing your dental experience with you and making it as comfortable as possible. You will find, as I have, this is an atmosphere of not only great dental care, but team support as well.
My experience with dentistry began in 2003, when I joined the practice of an oral surgeon, working as an Oral Surgery assistant. I loved the excitement of Oral Surgery, but ultimately decided that my strength is communicating with patients, and putting them at ease. I have been with Dr. Brooks as her receptionist since 2015. I have two beautiful children, who keep me on my toes. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, day trips to the beach, hiking and spending lots of time with my family and friends.
Back in the day, I used to be an Accountant. All day long, I would analyze, calculate and interface with computers. Boring! So I chose to be a Dental Hygienist instead. People are so much more fun, and the work is so very rewarding that I look back to this day and thank my lucky stars I made such a fortuitous decision. I attended the University of California San Francisco Dental School, graduated with honors, and began my clinical practice in Marin County while continuing to work at the University. There, I became a Research Coordinator and a Clinical Instructor, but my heart was always in clinical practice. So, here I am, after ten years with David and now so excited to be working with Jennifer Brooks! I look forward to many years of continuing friendships and the opportunity to make a meaningful and tangible difference in peoples' oral health.
I have been practicing dental hygiene for 25 years and have been with the practice since 2009. I originally hail from Canada but moved to the US after hygiene school. I pursued a degree in science in both Biology and Kinesiology at Acadia University and Dalhousie University, finally graduating with my associate degree in dental hygiene in 1994 from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My interest in dentistry started at an early age, working in my father's dental practice on Cape Breton Island. I have been with the practice for 10 years (Dr Van Peursem since 2009 and Dr Brooks since 2015). I feel fortunate to work alongside such a wonderful team! What I love most about dentistry is the ability to develop long standing relationships with patients, and to work together with my patients in achieving optimal health. Its very rewarding, and Im so grateful I chose this profession!
My dental journey started in Washington state back in 1999 when I graduated from dental assisting school! I enjoy dentistry so much that I decided to move to California to attend dental hygiene school. In 2010, I graduated with honors from the Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific with a bachelors in dental hygiene. Ever since, I have enjoyed helping people obtain optimal oral health! I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families!
I have been a dental hygienist since 1991. After graduating from UC Davis with a bachelors degree in Biology, and a short time in research, I knew I wanted to be in healthcare, working with people to make a positive change in their lives. I graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry and directly moved to Marin. I enjoy trail running, hiking, and mountain biking with my husband and two kids in beautiful Marin. I am very excited to be a part of Dr. Brooks team, continuing to provide our community with the highest level of care and compassion.
I have been an RDA since 2003, and with Dr. Brooks since 2015. I love the constant interaction with my coworkers and patients. It makes my work days fun and lively! I enjoy every aspect of my job and really do appreciate working for such a close knit, family oriented practice.
When Im not working, my family keeps me very busy! I live in Fairfax with my significant other and together we share 3 kids, a dog and a cat. There is NEVER a dull moment with them and I love every second of it. We love spending our free time out at Stinson Beach or in our yard, bbq-ing and listening to music. If the suns out, were out!
Hello, I am Georgina. I moved to the Bay Area in 1991 from Nicaragua, where I was an elementary school teacher. I started working in dentistry in 2005, in a variety of roles. I joined Dr. Brooks team in 2018, and I enjoy working with patients and making them feel comfortable.
My three children, Alan, Zoily, and Iliana are the light of my life. We enjoy dancing, listening to music, and attending concerts together. In addition to assisting Dr. Brooks, I work in an after school program in my community, where I get to fulfill my love of working with children.

Such an amazing and caring staff! Dr Brooks is so kind and very very dedicated to the dental work she provides. She goes that extra "mile" to make sure you are comfortable and your teeth are repaired correctly - even on her own time!

Hi I saw Dr. Brooks about 2.5 years ago. On 8/10/22 I got covid. My test was positive. Luck have it 4 days later I developed a abscess tooth. My face was swollen, pain was unbearable. I called her office. Front desk receptionist Karin was great. She contacted Dr. Brooks right away. Dr. Brooks was very kind, after reviewing my symptoms. Within 15 mins antibiotics were called to my pharmacy. Thanks to great, efficient and kind customer service of Dr. Brooks and Karin, I am feeling much better. I can hardly wait to see them in person for further dental work as soon as I recover from covid. You guys are the best. Thank you for treating me like a family member.

The Dentist that owned this practice was excellent, sad to see him retire, however, Jennifer Brooks and her team are so awesome. I really don't mind going to the dentist anymore. Had a lot of work done, also cosmetically, and her attention to detail is right on. Love them there.

It's actually kind of fun going to the dentist!! I know, you can't possibly believe that, but,,, in reality it's not that far from the truth. My husband and I both go here. Jennifer Brooks took over the practice a few years back. We really liked the original dentist and was sad to see him retire and a bit scared walking into this situation. Jennifer is as close to him as can be. Some of staff remained, they will work with you and budget. Most of all, we have fun, and it doesn't hurt. Bless you guys over there.

The Dentist that owned this practice was excellent, sad to see him retire, however, Jennifer Brooks and her team are so awesome. I really don't mind going to the dentist anymore. Had a lot of work done, also cosmetically, and her attention to detail is right on. Love them there.

Dr. Jennifer Brooks is, by far, the best dentist I have ever seen (I'm in my late 40s). She is SO thorough, patient, caring and really listens to what you have to say. She discovered something I have had for many years that other dentists didn't discover. She also helped me understand why my jaw suddenly starting "clicking". I can't say enough great things about Dr. Brooks! Her staff were all very lovely and helpful! I am SO grateful to have found this practice and feel I have found a dentist who is superior to others with her approach to care and her treatment options. She is truly an outstanding dentist.

Dr. Brooks is the BEST! THE BEST! She really listens to her patients and makes them feel welcome. My husband has a high tolerance for Novocaine and she has always managed to find a way to numb him up for work that needed to be done. In addition everyone who works in the office is great. They run a tight ship and are always on time. All you have to do is brush, floss, and make your appointment! Also, we commute from SF to see her. She is *that* awesome!

I don't believe I have ever received better dentistry. Jennifer Brooks and her staff demonstrate a level of expertise, attention to detail, and patient sensitivity that is unsurpassed. If that sounds like an unqualified recommendation, it is.
