Dr. Martin grew up in Duluth, MN. She received a BS degree with a double major in Biology and Chemistry from Valparaiso University in Indiana. She received her DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. She is married and has 2 daughters.
Dr. Nicole is currently in her residency for Internal Medicine. The future Dr. Halee just graduated from college and is currently in the process of applying to dental schools. Her plans are to join her mom in her practice.
Dr. Martin writes and performs comedy for a non-profit organization, The Badwater Ski-Ters. Her comedy fills in the breaks during the water skiing show. Come see a show in the summer, and you might see a character called Homer (spoiler alert, its Dr. Martin)!
Wendy is our receptionist and front office manager and is a Registered Dental Assistant. She will gladly answer your questions, and if you have dental insurance, she will work with you to understand your insurance and will submit your claims.
Vickie Waskowiak is a Registered Dental Hygienist, and we are very lucky to have her part-time at our office.Our staff will take the time to answer all of your questions, and they are dedicated to staying current with all of the latest dental technologies. They want to make your visit with us the best dental experience you have ever had. Did I mention that they are awesome?

Woman at front desk was very snooty and acted irritated. Was convinced I was late for my 1:10 appointment when I arrived at 1:05. I scheduled a cleaning and exam and they told me this appt was only for an exam, and that they would not provide a cleaning. Would not run my insurance before I began my appointment. Said they needed to know how to treat me first, but how can I know if I want an exam if I don't know if my insurance will cover? Reply to Dr. Martin: Thanks for your reply. You seem like you have a high standard of care, which I appreciate. However, your front desk staff should be more knowledgeable and more polite. None of this was explained to me over the phone or at the desk. I scheduled a cleaning and they didn't tell me over the phone that they would not be able to do one that day. When I arrived, they didn't tell me anything about your procedures, they just gave me an attitude.

I normally don't write reviews but because of my positive experience at this office, I HAD to. : ) : ) Everyone was so friendly and nice and they took their TIME with me. I felt comfortable not rushed and I left knowing more about my teeth then I ever knew! I would give TEN stars if I could.

I am new to the area and Dr Martin was recommended to me by numerous people. My first visit was very thorough and more than I expected! I did not feel rushed at all. Her staff is very friendly and have recommended Dr Martin to my friends

My wife usually takes care of my kids' appointment, but I had to take them to their first visit to Dr Martin's office. The lady at the front desk was very helpful with my insurance. She seems to know her job. The kids really liked the hygienist and Dr Martin spent a lot of time with them . I am very happy with this office.

I have recommended Dr Jeneen to my fiends and family. She and her staff are very caring and explain everything in detail. I did not feel like a "number" and I did not feel rushed at all. They have some cool new imaging that I had never seen before. My exam and cleaning were very thorough.

My experience there has been nothing but tremendous. Unfortunately I had a few cavities to fill. They let me know step by step what they were going to do to make me feel at ease. I will definitely be going back there again.

Just over all disappointed because I looked forward to having this dentist, and getting my kids into her; as Janeen is great, but the business portion is less than upfront or caring. Without really getting into what happened, they lost a family of business and I am now looking elsewhere.

I went to Distinctive Dentistry for over 10 years. My whole family did. We greatly enjoyed our hygienists, Sue and Ann. Cleanings were great, but scheduling is awful. I drove from Milwaukee for dental appointments, and occasionally I would get a last minute call (about an hour before my appointment) from Wendy, the administrative assistant, that my appointment was cancelled. She was very short and unapologetic, after I voiced my disappointment that I took off a whole day of work and drove over 250 miles to have a tooth filled. She stated, "Dr. Martin has been ill over a week. She hasn't been to the office in days." My mother, father and sister all experienced heading to the office for an appointment and it being closed when they showed up on multiple occasions. I really do appreciate the hygienists, but the office staff is a real concern, and unprofessional at best.
