My story is simpleI love being a dentist! Day in and day out, I get to do what I have fun doing! It truly is a blessing to have a career where I get to build and maintain great relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds. I especially love seeing my young patients grow up, get taller than me (not hard to do), and go off to college or start working. I feel like a part of the patients family, and the patients are definitely a part of our family.
I grew up in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. I received my degree in dental surgery from Creighton University before returning home to start my practice. I am an avid learner and love that dentistry is always evolving with new techniques and technologies. I am committed to excellence and continue my dental education by regularly attending advanced dental courses.
I feel very lucky to be a dentist and look for ways to serve the community using my learned skills. Locally, I provided dental treatment to underprivileged children for many years. I also love visiting local schools to educate children on the importance of dental care. Globally, I have traveled to Kenya and India with medical/dental mission teams to provide dental care to those in need. I am dedicated to serving my local and global communities and committed to continuing that.
Dr. Booseh F. Jafari graduated from the University of Kiel School of Dentistry (CAU) in 2000. She continued on to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry training followed by a second year there as a Fellow in General Dentistry and Implantology.
In 2002, Dr. Jafari joined the faculty at the College of Dentistry at the University of Oklahoma HSC as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics. She stayed there until 2008 when she moved to Washington state to open a private practice.
Although Dr. Jafari has been trained in restoring teeth and occlusion by the best of mentors and she very much enjoys using those skills she counts preventive dentistry as one of her main focuses. She takes pride in using her abilities and knowledge to preserve a natural, healthy smile and utilize the most advanced techniques in restoring the appearance and function of dentition.
Dr. Jafari enjoys skiing whenever she gets a chance. She loves camping, dancing, swimming and experiencing new adventures by traveling with her family. She often volunteers at her childrens schools and likes to be involved with school activities and field trips so she can get to know other kids and their families. In her downtime, she recharges by playing the piano.
We value the relationships we cultivate with our patients. Our doctors spend a great amount of one-on-one time with patients, especially during the new patient exam, to answer any questions that patients may have about their oral health and recommended treatment.
One of our most often received compliments is that we are very thorough. We believe that we are in a partnership with the patients in achieving their optimal oral health. As such, we like to make sure that patients understand what we are talking about by showing and going over everything. Patients often comment that they 've never seen their mouth 'like that' before and really appreciate the time spent explaining everything.
We are on the retail level of Chelsea Apartments at Juanita Village in Kirkland, WA, located at 11819 98th Avenue NE in Kirkland, WA. There is parking available in the garage or on-street. We are a short stroll away from Juanita Bay Park (down the street).

Fantastic team! They are always cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure you are comfortable and clearly understand your xrays and what needs to be done and why. The office is spotless and I have never had trouble with parking. They also do a great job of reminding you of your appoinment. I have been a patient for years.

I needed a crown and filling in the same appointment and I wouldn't trust anyone more than the team at Jen Kim. The Doctor, Crystal and Maddie were amazing and made me feel at ease and took awesome care of me. I would definitely recommend this office for all of your dental needs.

Great experience with Dr. Jen Kim and her hygienist. Everything ran on schedule, the office is sanitized, clean and modern. I found the hygienist to be gentle but firm on the cleaning, and Dr. Kim to be thorough and efficient in her evaluation - make sure to see her! Great place to come for a second opinion on a treatment that you're not sure about - even for something as small as a cavity. Dr. Kim seems conservative in her approach to dental health (in a very good way, not overtreating or recommending unnecessary procedures).

I have awful teeth, especially between bad genetics and mental health, and so need lots of cleanings and fillings, and by and far, best dentist I've had. My first filling took them less than 15 minutes once the numbing kicked in and you can see the efficiency and ease between team members is obvious. I had 3 fillings done this morning it it took them less than 35-40 minutes to get those done once numbed and then have me back at the front desk ready to check out. And the rest of the staff is the sweetest. The front desk people are very welcoming and very, very helpful and clear with insurance and treatment plans. The hygienists are just as sweet and knowledgeable as well. Absolutely recommend them!

Hi, so my experience with cleaning at Jen Kim clinic was amazing but when it was time for root canal I had to stop my procedure before it started as even after sedation I could feel my nerve when sprayed water and when I tired to convey my pain to the dentist she was rude and trying to make me feel that's it's my fault completly..I know I have issues with needles but I still didn't panic that much when they gave me injection but the point when it felt rude and the thought of a pain full root canal made me stop and leave... I went to this clinic on there ratings but the rating is for Dr Kim not the other doctor so if u trust the rating so please do ask for Dr Kim on ur visit...

The staff was very courteous and helpful. They were very attentive, ranging from the person at the front desk to the dental assistant, the dental hygienist, and the finance person. The dentist, herself was very knowledgeable and very thorough.

I have visited Jen Kim Dentistry a few times recently. Doctors, assistant, and front-desks are professional and kind. Among 15+ dentistries visited in my lifetime, this place is in top 3 in my experience (no.1. among places with only few visits for a short period.)

For the most part the staff here are great. Sadly the treatments and plans provided are overpriced and catch you with hidden fees. If you miss an appointment even with a family emergency (during a pandemic), they'll charge you 75 dollars. If you don't have insurance and opt for their "club membership" plan, they charge you hundreds of dollars in fine print fees for "reactivating". I was recommended this place by a friend and I'll alternatively not be recommending it to any of mine! Too greedy. With the turnover on this property I'm sure I can blink my eyes and there will be another dentist there in a couple years. Hope they'll be less about the money. Sad.
