Jeffrey Ryu, DMDDr. Jeffrey Ryu has been a part of the community for over five years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Carleton College, where he majored in psychology. In 1999, he graduated from the Tufts University of Dental Medicine. He continues to augment his skills and his knowledge base through continuing education courses, which also allow him to keep current with the latest techniques in dentistry. Dr. Ryu is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association and the Memphis Dental Society. He also received implantology training from Alabama Implant Education. As a dentist, Dr. Ryu strives to provide the most personal and complete dental care for his patients to promote their overall health and well-being.

Dr. Ryu has a son and daughter who are both in high school. His daughter enjoys horseback riding and playing the oboe and his son enjoys fencing and playing the piano. Dr. Ryu is a big fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and works with the players and the organization as the on-call dentist to handle emergencies during home games.

Holly Dental HygienistHolly joined the Ryu Crew in 2020! She has been practicing as a dental hygienist since 2018, and came highly recommended to us by her colleagues. She values patient-centered care and teamwork, and is considerate to the cultural differences of others. Holly is open to new ideas, and loves learning and utilizing new advancements in the dental field. She also enjoys meeting new people. Knowing that she improved someones health and well-being is very rewarding to her. Holly has a beautiful 4-year-old daughter who keeps her busy with gymnastics and T-ball. She also loves her fur babies, and in her spare time loves being with her family and being outdoors.

BeckyBecky joined our practice in 2016 and brings a smile every day! She loves being part of a family where everyone truly cares about each other about our patients. Becky attended the University of Tennessee at Memphis in conjunction with MAVTS. Employed in the dental field for over 20 years, she has training in oral surgery, periodontics and fortune practice management.

In her time working in dentistry, she has worked in several areas, and her favorite is periodontics. However, she feels that her greatest accomplishment is being able to create and maintain so many friendships and long-lasting relationships with her patients.

Becky has three boys: two four-legged fur babies, Ghost and Bailey, and her son, Alex, who is a junior in college. When she is not working, Becky spends her time indulging in her true loves: sports (baseball and football season), fitness training and being outdoors either in a kayak, fishing or riding four wheelers. She loves embracing her southern roots.

Kim Registered Dental Hygienist Kim has been in the dental field as a hygienist for over 23 years, and joined our team two and a half years ago. She graduated from the University of Tennessee-Memphis College of Allied Health with a degree in dental hygiene. Kim enjoys interacting with our patients, really getting to know them and educating them about their oral health. She goes above and beyond to make our patients as comfortable as possible, and has known many of them for years. Kim has a great love of animals, especially dogs. Adopt dont shop!

Teresa Front Desk Teresa has been part of our dental family for 20 years, and has been in the dental field for more than 30 years, beginning as a dental assistant for a general dental office and a pediatric practice. She has total confidence in Dr. Ryu and knows that he has our patients best interests at heart in everything he does. She loves working with our team to care for our patients and help them feel comfortable, and greets each person who visits our office with a smile. Teresa married her high school sweetheart, with whom she has three wonderful children and four beautiful granddaughters. Outside of the office she loves to paint with acrylics and watercolors.

Gaby has two brothers and two sisters, and she was born and raised here in Memphis, though both of her parents are from Mexico. Gaby loves to take her dogs for walks in the park and is always looking for new restaurants and foods to try with her friends.

Juanita Expanded Functions Dental AssistantJuanita is the newest addition to the Ryu Crew: she joined the practice in November 2021. Juanita attended dental assisting school in 2016 and graduated with honors. In 2019, Juanita attended courses at University of Tennessee Memphis to become an expanded functions dental assistant. Juanita is always excited to learn and grow in her professional career, and she likes being impactful to a successful team and maintaining personable relationships. Being an expanded functions assistant, she can help Dr. Ryu with more in-depth restorative procedures (fillings etc.) She also helps her teammates with the plethora of dental assisting duties each day.

Juanita is the mother of two perfectly imperfect beautiful monsters. Her daughter plays softball and is a Daisy Girl Scout. Her son will soon start T-ball and soccer. Juanita indulges in many hobbies, but reading and crafting are at the top. She also collects stationary and has a slight addiction to TV and good board games.
