Dr. Jeff earned his dental degree with highest honors in Cleveland, Ohio at Case Western Reserve University. He loved it there so much he decided to stay on to complete his orthodontic specialty training. He received the clinical award at his graduation. In addition to his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, he obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry with a Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Jeffs masters thesis on conebeam 3D x-ray technology was published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, an internationally acclaimed and recognized orthodontic journal. Yet, the best thing that happened during his time at school was meeting his wife, Dr. Lisa Ngo.
Following graduation, Dr. Jeff decided to settle down in Sacramento where Lisa has many family members locally. After growing up in Toronto and living in Cleveland, he is no stranger to the cold and immediately fell in love with the snow in Lake Tahoe. Dr. Jeff and Lisa have two sons, Alex and Ryan.
Dr. Jeff decided to pursue a career in orthodontics because his own orthodontist made a great impact on his life. He believes that his kids help to keep him young at heart and allow him to relate to his patients. He is looking forward to meeting you and treating you with the utmost care and attention.

Amazing Orthodontist! Dr. Kwong made our sons experience with his braces very comfortable and we had excellent results! We could not be more pleased with the office staff as well as his special care and personal attention throughout the entire process. Thank you Dr. Kwong for a great experience.

Dr. Jeffrey is really chill. Just got my braces off today and it feels great. They did a really great job. Dr. Jeffrey won't get mad if you don't wear your rubber bands (but you really should wear them) and is really polite in reminding you about everything you need to do in order to get the best results. Basically this place is great, everyone is really nice, and you should probably come here if you want nice looking teeth.

Dr. Jeffrey Kwong and his staff are absolutely amazing! They are all super welcoming and great at what they do. I got my braces at 17 and just got them off today! I never once had a bad experience while getting a tightening or fix to my brackets. They fit you in and make you a priority! Super professional and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get braces!

Dr. Jeffrey Kwong is absolutely exceptional. He is professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a truly kind human being. I appreciate how he shares what his orthodontic plans are and keeps me informed throughout the entire process. I am 15 years old and just got my braces off, when i was in 8th grade my parents signed me up to get braces at JKO and if I had to talk about my experience i'd say that all the staff is extremely efficient, they have you walking in and getting everything done within 20-40 minutes which is amazing, the wait time is almost 4 minutes. Dr. Kwong is amazing, hes funny and jokes around but he tells you in person what he expects of you and gives advice on how to work towards what you need, he sets goals for you and adapts those goals based on how you take care of your teeth. hes a great person, super funny and I definitely recommend going to get your braces done at JKO.

They are amazing! Extremely professional and kind. I love their texting feature which is so useful since I can't answer my phone during work to confirm or reschedule appointments. If you're thinking of getting braces or invisalign, this is the best place. Its a very clean and beautiful office.

Dr. Jeff is an exceptional doctor and person. He was recommended by my dentist and I am more than happy I was able to have him as my doctor. I've been with JKO for over two years and every visit was very pleasant and everyone was professional and kind. Doc takes very good care of all his patients; so much so that I'm almost sad to have my braces off!

I have nothing but great things to say about JKO. I have one child about 2/3 done with a single phase treatment and another who just finished phase one. Dr. Jeff and his staff are fabulous. Dr. Jeff is always so kind and engaging with my kids. He takes time to explain to them what he's doing in language they understand, which always makes them feel more comfortable. You can also tell he is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He goes out of his way to do fun contests and gives out swag bags and prizes to get the kids excited about going to the orthodontist. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful with questions or getting us in for emergency appointments when a wire has come loose, etc. The office is a new building in the EDH business park that's easily accessible with plenty of parking and has state of the art equipment and technology. I would definitely recommend JKO to anyone with orthodontic needs, adults and kids alike.

This place is top notch. We did our daughter's first round of braces in the Bay Area before we moved, and there were a few things that really set this place apart for her second round: 1. They do great work, and are really friendly and professional. They also partnered directly with and handled all necessary communication with our daughter's dentist, so her overall treatment was seamless. 2. They are incredibly flexible on payment plans, and worked with us so we could maximize the use of our Health Savings Account (HSA). 3. Their retainer plan! As long as you hang on to the dental molds they provide when braces are taken off, you can get free replacement retainers for life! I've never heard of such a thing before, and feel like her treatment is future proof. Love it!

Hands down Kwong Orthodontics is the best! We had such a great experience with both of our daughters as they received treatment for braces. Their smiles are beautiful and we can't thank Dr Kwong and his staff enough. They truly are an amazing staff and we always appreciated Dr Kwong's attention to detail, friendly personality and professionalism.

Recently moved over to Dr. Kwong after having a long and complicated experience with orthodontics. I explained my situation to Dr. Kwong and he has made me feel comfortable and heard on every visit. I can tell that he cares about the people in his chair as opposed too making a quick and easy buck. Could not recommend him more!!
