In July of 2010, Dr. Himler received his Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry. This is a huge honor and one that Dr. Himler worked many years to earn. He was one of only three dentists in the state of Ohio to earn this distinction in 2010. Less than 1% of all the dentists in the United States achieve this honor. Dr. Himler is the only dentist in Marysville and Union County to have ever earned this high level of achievement.
Ours is the first and only dental practice in Union County and the general surrounding area to incorporate the Solea Dental Laser. In fact, we are one of the first 300 dental practices in the world. This allows us to provide truly painless care and eliminate the need for drills and injected anesthetics. Getting a cavity filled, or soft-tissue (gum)work done, has become an experience with little or no discomfort and virtually no bleeding. Because we don't have to deliver anesthetic, you're not numbed and can resume your day immediately.
We also offer digital X-Rays, which reduce the amount of radiation exposure and provide the best imaging of your mouth. This includes our Galileos 3-D scan, which provides a 3-dimensional image of your teeth and jaws. In addition, we have CEREC CAD/CAM technology, which enables us to create in-house crowns, veneers, and onlays. We can frequently restore your smile in one day and avoid the need for temporary crowns and return visits.

Dr. Himler is a 1985 cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. Following graduation he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. In2010 Dr. Himler earned his Mastership Statusfrom the Academy of General Dentistry, becoming the only dentist in Union County to have ever achieved this status. He received his Mastership Status in July 2010, at the Academy of General Dentistry's Annual Conference. Dr. Himler is also a Sustaining memberof The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, having passed the written examination for accreditation. He is also currently enrolled in the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry's Postgraduate Program in Esthetic and Comprehensive Dentistry.

Dr. Himler is happily married to his wife, Cindy,ofover 40 years and has two children. His daughter, Mindy,graduated fromThe Ohio State University,College of Veterinary Medicine. Shehas established her Veterinary Practice here in Marysville which opened in 2015. His son, Matt, is a graduate of The University of Akron where hemajored in communications and marketing. He recently relocated to Toledo and is working with TTI in sales.Matt has also earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor given in Boy Scouts.
Dr. Himlerconsiders the community of Marysville very important. He gives freely ofhis time to the community in many ways such as free dental screenings for area second graders in February for Dental Health Month. He is also a strong supporter of the Union County Fair and always buys livestock at the Junior Fair Livestock Sale andalso supportsthe Union County 4-HEquine Program eachyear at the fair by funding awards for the 4-H Horse Show during fair week. He is also always there to help out the local Boy Scout Program here in UnionCounty, currently serving as a Dentistry Merit Badge Counselor.Hedonates custom made laminatedmouthguards for Marysvilleathletesandsponsors area sports teams and academic endeavors. Dr. Himler's latest endeavor is sponsoring an annual dog adoption dayin October.
Dr. Himler 's wife, Cindy, operates 'Forever Friends, Forever Homes, Forever Loved,' an animal rescue group. She is also helped establish Animal Haven, after the Logan County Humane Society closed and recently established 'Nikki and Nigel 's Hospice Rescue' for terminally ill dogs being cared for in animal shelters or rescue groups.
