We are a Van Wert Dental Office that has been serving Van Wert and the surrounding areas (Convoy, Willshire, Rockford, Paulding, Payne, Antwerp, Delphos, Milddlepoint, and Spencerville) for over 35 years.

Dr. Carl Jeffery opened the dental practice in Van Wert on January 1, 1974 at the Medical Arts Building on 140 Fox Road. Throughout time his pratice grew to point where the Medical Arts could no longer provide enough space. In 1985, he built the building standing today with his two friends Bill Laukhuf and Rod Stoller who have an accounting firm together at the building.

Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr had an interest for dentistry very early in her life. By the time she was in Junior High she had already decided to become a dentist. In July 2005, Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr offically partnered with her father and they both have enjoyed working and learning from one another ever since.

Dr. Carl Jeffery is dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care to the families of Northwest Ohio. After graduating from the Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 1973, he opened his practice in Van Wert, Ohio in January of 1974. Dr. Jeffery is originally from Antwerp, Ohio and graduated from Antwerp High School. He then started his studies at Bowling Green and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. He married Susan Jeffery on March 22, 1970 and continued his studies in dental school. Carl and Susan have three daughters (Jennifer Slusher, Julie Wallace, and Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr) that they raised in Van Wert.

Keeping up to date with the newest technologies has always been an important aspect to Dr. Jefferys dental career. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, and the Northwest Dental Society. He is also a member of the OSU Dental Alumni Association.

Dr. Jeffery has enjoyed working in Van Wert these many years and hopes to continue working for many more years. However, when he isnt working you will most likely find him on the golf course or playing Noon Ball at the YMCA. He loves to talk about Ohio State football and basketball whenever he gets the opportunity! In fact he is the founder of the Van Wert/Paulding County Alumni Club and is a very active member.

Born and raised in Van Wert, Ohio, Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr was very excited to return to her hometown and practice dentistry as partners with her father, Dr. Carl Jeffery. Dr. Jeffery-Mohr graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry in 2005 and joined the practice officially in July of 2005. The family jokes that she has worked in the office since she was in 4th grade! Jessica started her education in Van Wert at Van Wert High School and continued learning at Bluffton College majoring in Biology. She then finished her formal education at OSU, College of Dentistry.

Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr is also active in continuing the learning process and staying up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, The Northwest Dental Society, and The Ohio State University Dental Alumni Association.

She has a passion for educating the younger generation about proper dental hygiene and dental care. Her motto is to Save the World, One Tooth and a Time. She visits the area schools and preschools every year to help share the message.

Dr. Jessica Jeffery-Mohr is married to Dr. Jacob Mohr and they reside in Van Wert. They have 2 sons, Caleb and Andrew. In between her career and parenting, Dr. Mohr is the chairperson of the Van Wert Ohio State Alumni Scholars Award and enjoys watching the Buckeyes every year! On Sundays, she teaches a 3rd-5th grade class.

Chelsea is a dental assistant who joined our team in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and assisting chairside to the doctors. She loves the relationships she is able to build with patients. She is a graduate of Delphos Jefferson and resides in Middle Point with her husband Taylor Hesseling. They have three young kids that keep them busy, Ellie, Eddie, and Emmie. If they didnt have their hands full enough, they also have 3 dogs, Charlie, Leo and Luna. Chelsea enjoys helping at church, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Helen is a dental assistant that happily started working with our office in 2016. While assisting she enjoys getting to know the patients and loves to assist when treatment needs to be done. She graduated from Wayne Trace/Vantage in 2000. She resides in Van Wert County with her husband John Vaughn and their three kids Wesley, William and Vanessa. With the help of her husband, she is a stepmother to two older children, step grandmother of four, and a step great grandmother of one. She helps her boys with Boy Scouts and her daughter in Girl Scouts. She enjoys watching horror movies and football. During her lunch, she enjoys reading a book/the bible and feeding the squirrels at the park.

Beth started working in the office in 2013. You can find her working at the front desk majority of the time but she also helps assist when needed. She enjoys greeting patients as they enter the office. She is a graduate of Delphos St. Johns and has an associates degree from UNOH. Beth is married to Jimmy Murphy and resides in Van Wert county along with their dog Zoey. In her spare time she enjoys music, gardening, and the outdoors. She is actively involved in church and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Ashley is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from Rhodes State College in 2014 with an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined our team in 2015 and has enjoyed developing relationships with patients over the years. Along with being a hygienist, you can find Ashley being a chair side assistant to the doctors as well. Ashley resides in Payne where she was born and raised. She graduated from Wayne Trace High School in 2010. Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Hersey. On the weekends you canfind her watching OSU football, kayaking, and playing or watching softball.

Stephanie is a Dental Hygienist who has been with us since 2010. She received her Associates Degree at Rhodes State College in 2009 and is currently a student at THE Ohio State University working towards her Bachelors Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys the personal touch of a private practice which gives her the opportunity that not only helps her patients with their dental hygiene needs but also allows her to get to know them on a personal level. Outside of the office, she is an active member in her church and enjoys spending time with her husband(Russ), children (Jennifer & Andrew),grandson(Charlie), and her fur-baby, Chloe.

Lori started working in the office in 1984. She works the front desk and files the insurance for patients. She is a Convoy native anda 1982 Crestview/Vantage graduate. She resides outside of Convoy with her husband Jeff. They have two married children. She is a proud grandma of Eleanor and Jay! She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She is an active member of her church. Lori enjoys seeing all the smiling faces of our new and estabilished patients!
