As a graduate of Baylor University in 1982, Dr. Bauer received a B.S. in Science. While at Baylor he ran track for Clyde Hart as a 400 hurdler. His dad worked at General Tire here in Waco, so this has always been home. After graduation from Baylor, he proceeded to dental school in Dallas at Baylor College of Dentistry. In 1986, upon graduation from dental school, he returned to Waco to set up an independent, free standing office in a newly developing area. The neighborhood continues to thrive today and Dr. Bauer has been very active in the development and growth of the area. Dr. Bauer is an active member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. An Eagle Scout from high school, he remains a member with Troop 308. He has served as past president of the Central Texas Dental Society and a graduate of higher dental education with Bioesthetic International Dentistry.
Dr. Bauer, his wife Mary, and their sons, Jeremy and Colton have lived in Lorena, Texas for over 20 years. Mary is an accomplished horse trainer and Cutting horse competitor at Painted Ridge Farm. Their oldest son, Jeremy is a graduate student in the Mechanical Engineering Progam at Texas Tech University. While their youngest son, Colton is a pilot and studying Industrial Engineering also at Texas Tech University. Both boys grew up and graduated from Lorena High School, where they played football and were active with many school activities.

Dr. Bauer is amazing. I live in another state now and would travel to see him if I could afford it. He explained lifelong dental conditions that none of my previous dentists had ever discussed with me with the level of detail and understanding that Dr. Bauer exhibited. He has great bedside manner, always suggested the right amount of care, and never tried to push costly unnecessary procedures. The hygienists are all awesome and the front office crew is very pleasant. Hands down, the best dentist I ever had.

Dr Bauer is an excellent dentist! He is very caring and really took his time in explaining what needs to be done so I can make a better decision. He is also very thorough and goes extra mile to make you feel comfortable and be satisfied on the result! I found him very professional and caring about your oral health.

I was scared and they explained every single thing they were doing so I could feel better. Everyone is super nice. Also the waiting room has a welcoming, warm vibe.

I am extremely hard to please by Nature. I also was in the Infantry so I have an extremely aggressive personality and my wife will testify occasionally hard to deal with. With that said dr. Bauer and his entire staff has always shown kindness towards my wife my children and myself... I got to tell you that's kind of hard when it comes to me to be very blunt. I'm going back with my wife in 2 weeks and I am looking forward to it.. we have tried other dentist and been severely disappointed. Mr. Bauer has a knack for making my wife feel at ease and respected. When my kids were little and I brought them to him he was very attentive and talk to them while looking at them in the eye, and when talking to me he was very direct which I truly appreciate. I really like this guy and his staff. When we ran out of insurance he was very affordable and he actually worked with us that truly meant a lot to me and I just wanted to put that out there for everybody to read. As a vet I hear a lot of people thank me for my service, but I just want to thank him for his and I hope this gets back to him! Thank you

Best Dentist I've ever had!. I needed a crown on a tooth to match my other existing crowns. He wanted it to be perfect and so did I, so he had the lab match it up which was not a easy task. However I now have a perfect smile because he is a perfectionist and I love that he cared so much to make that happen and give me my smile back, Thank you Dr. Bauer and Staff you all are amazing. I look forward to my visit.

Dr. Bauer and his staff are outstanding. They are very friendly and professional. Dr. Bauer knows his business and does excellent work. Don't go anywhere else. Very nice Christian environment!

Clean office, minimal waiting, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Dr Bauer once helped me out on the weekend (ie not a workday) after reaching out to him on his cell. I don't think you can ask for better service than that!

Jeff Bauer went out of his way to make himself available to meet with a client of mine that was coming in from out of state and had chipped his tooth the night before. Jeff was overly nice and extremely accommodating in the time of need. My client was so impressed with Jeff and had the same feedback that Jeff could not have been a more pleasant gentleman.
