Dr. Babiuk received his undergraduate education at the University of Alberta and at the University of British Columbia. He graduated with his Bachelors Degree in 1987 where he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. In 1991, he graduated with honors from Loyola University Dental School and completed his residency in 1995 practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Chicagos Cook County Hospital. His training at Cook County was intensive and provided him with a strong background in all procedures required succeeding in private practice. In addition to common oral surgery procedures, the maxillofacial aspects of his training include a strong trauma background, with repair and reconstruction of patients with multiple facial injuries and facial fractures.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Babiuk has a very diverse background with many hobbies which include dirt biking, camping, skiing and snowboarding, scuba diving, sailing, deep sea fishing, automotive repair and restoration of American and European autos, electronic projects and many others butNO GOLFING!

Highly disappointing experience in regards to Grayslake Oral Surgery's billing department. Nothing but billing issues THEY created 8 months after I had two of my wisdom teeth were removed. My father and I are trying to work with them to fix the billing issues they created, but they haven't been able to give us direct answers. Seems like they are trying to get more money from Delta Dental than what they are obligated!

My daughter got her four wisdom teeth extracted. Dr. Babiuk was very professional and took time to answer all of our questions. The surgery went well and the nurse was very thorough in explaining after-care. On the second day, I had questions whether her recovery was normal, the office was closed so I called Dr. Babiuk directly at the number given, he called back within a few minutes and took the time to give suggestions and reassurance. The only downsides were 1) we had to wait an hour over our appt. time for the consultation, with no explanation 2) payment is expected before she went into the appointments, which was fine but it would have helped to know ahead of time.

He was very quick, no bedside manor of what he was doing. Neither did he tell me how to take care of the extraction. I called and told him I was in pain and he plainly said, " I have NO sympathy for you"! My daughter had 4 wisdom teeth pulled also. Never was told how to care for the 'holes'. She ended up with all 4 dry sockets!! I highly would avoid!!!!!!

Overall, I had a positive experience at dr babiuk's office. The woman who worked at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable, personable and put me at ease. I really hate going to the dentist so I appreciated her going the extra mile to do this. Dr babiuk was great. He knew his stuff and I felt very confident in his care. I would definitely recommend him.

Every time I call the front desk lady Rosie is so rude and seems bothered that she has to help. She has absolutely no people skills and I can not believe they would have someone like that as their first point of contact with customers. Dr Babiuk was nice enough and we didn't have any issues with the wisdom teeth removal

Unprofessional.. wife took off work to bring my daughter in for consultation. Was in waiting room 20 min passed appointment time and Dr didn't show up and asked to come back in a week. This is something that needs to be done in timely matter but they don't care. I called to talk to them and they don't even answer the phone. Avoid this place and go to a DR you cares enough to show up

I like Dr. Babiuk he is a good dentist, but i went last week and he didnt let them numbing gel work, he just put gel and 1 sec later the shot. I felt like he was rushing.

Allowed my daughter to continue for day with an serious infection where the right side of her face is 3 times the size. Pain was so severe where I had to take her to the emergency. He continue to insist her condition was improving.

I recently broke a tooth in the back of my mouth. When I called Dr. Babiuk's office, I was able to be seen the next day. I had called a couple other oral surgeons and they weren't able to see me for over a week JUST for a consult. I was in extreme pain and was so thankful that they could get me in for a consultation so quickly. Once I was there, his staff was very warm and welcoming. Not only did I get my consultation, but he decided to extract the tooth and the neighboring wisdom tooth at the time of visit. It was completely painless, and Dr. Babiuk and his staff actually made the experience a pleasant one. Normally, the thought of pulling a tooth would make anyone squeamish, but it was not bad at all and he explained everything he was doing, which was comforting. Thank you so much, Dr. Babiuk and staff for helping me so quickly and kindly! I am truly grateful to you all!
