Dr. Jeannette Tokuyama grew up in the Conejo Valley since she was thirteen years of age. She was in the first graduating class of Westlake High School, and then attended the University of California at Davis for her undergraduate education, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Zoology. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the USC School of Dentistrywhere she was a member of the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society where she has served as Dental Health Chair and a CPR instructor. She also belongs to the Conejo Valley Academy of Dentists, a local study club.

Dr. Tokuyama has been practicing general dentistry since 1988, and is extremely dedicated to her practice in Simi Valley where she has been located since 1991. The family dental practice that she joined at that time was one of the first established dental practices in Simi Valley. She has assistants, hygienists, and receptionists who have been working with her for over 20 years.

The scope ofDr. Tokuyama'spractice includes, but is not limited to, treating both children and adults, restoring implants, and providing all porcelain crowns andtooth coloredfillings. Her goal is todeliver comprehensive dental care of the highest quality. She prides herself on having an office and staff that will make her patients visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible. What inspires her the most is when patients pay her the greatest compliment by entrusting their friends and family to her.

On a more personal note, Dr. Tokuyama is always looking for a creative outlet whether that be photography, art, or jewelry making. She also loves skiing, working out, and any activity that has to do with being outdoors. She especially enjoys fly fishing with her husband and son in places like Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico, and the Sierras.

Dr. Lisa Hansen grew up in Simi Valley. She graduated with honors from CSUN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. At CSUN she worked with Presidential Award Recipient, Steven Oppenheimer on cancer cell research. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry, in 2000. Dr. Hansen was the UCLA representative for the USC/UCLA Mobile Clinic that provided dental care to indigent children. Graduating at the top of her class, she was inducted into the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. With the goal of joining a family dental practice, Dr. Hansen was honored to be asked by Drs. Spayde and Tokuyama to join her hometown dental practice where she was herself a patient. She chose to commit to practice in this location because of the practice 's longtime good standing in the community and the practices relationship-based style of care. She has practiced continuously at this location since 2000. Dr. Hansen recently had the honor to beawarded thedistinction of 'America 's Best Dentists 2016'. In addition, Dr. Hansen is a ' Recognized Expert contributorin areas of Cosmetic Dentistry and Invisalign' for realself.com, an onlineplastic surgery and cosmetic dentistry patient/doctor forum.

Dr. Hansen's professional mission is to provide her patients with personalized, comprehensive dental care in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. She welcomes patients of all ages and has had the privilege of treating many families with 3 and 4 generations of family members in the practice! She has treated thousands of patients that love coming to the dentist, but she knows that some people avoid dental care because of fear. She has created an office atmosphere and trained her staff to help dental phobic patients overcome their fear. She is a former Rotary International Club of Simi Sunset founding member and former Rotary International Club Secretary. She has traveled to Mexico with Rotary International as a liason to investigate international charity. She is an annual supporter of International Childrens Cancer Society and a member of National Charity League. She is a volunteer to provide dental work to underprivileged children through the Santa Barbara-Ventura Dental Society. She has been marriedto her college sweetheart, since 1997. She and her husband have three children. In her free time, Dr. Hansen enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and traveling.

Pam was raised on the central coast of California. Shegraduated from the University of Hawaii School Of Dental Hygiene. She is a National Board Certified Hygienist and has been licensed and worked in three states during her career. She has been a member of our team for more that 27 years, providing professional and gentle care. An avid golfer, Pam also enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She has visited more than thirty states and twenty-one foreign countries.

Mari's childhood was spent growing up in Puebla, Mexico. She attended Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla where she received a Bachelors of Science in Pre Dentistry. Mari moved to the United States in 1983 and worked as an RDA for ten years, after which she decided to go to hygiene school. She received her Bachelors of Science in Hygiene from the University of Southern California. Mari has genuinely enjoyed being a hygienist for the past twenty-two years. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and even speaks some French. She prides herself on the ability to gently, but seriouslyconvey to her patients the importance of oral health. She is ready to help you achieve your dental goals in a team approach with both Dr. Tokuyama and Dr. Hansen. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Sara graduated from West Los Angeles Dental Hygiene program, where she completed clinical training through UCLA, the Veteran's Affairs Hospitals, and other health organizations. She is passionate about learning patients' specific needs, and helping meet those individually. She is committed to helping you achieve a healthy,beautiful smile.

Yvonne has been an RDA at our office for twenty-two years. She has a huge passion for dentistry and patient care. Prior to working here she served in the U.S. Navy for five years and saw the world. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Working out and camping keep her life balanced. Her motto is, 'One life...Make It Happen!'

Brittany grew up in Simi Valley. She graduated from Everest College in dental assisting. She was a full time RDA at our office for five years and now enjoys her position in the front office. She is enthusiastic about the field of dentistry and making sure our patients always feel welcome and comfortable. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.She loves her doggies and appreciates all outdoor activities!

Kara is a dedicated member of our dental assistant team. She attended the Honors Dental Assistant Program at the Career Education Center in Camarillo in 2016-2017.Proving her exceptional ability at the school, she was awarded The Dental Assistant of the Year Award for outstanding work and citizenship. She is a warm and energetic person and has genuine care for each and every patient.Outside of the office she isenrolled in college and is pursuing an educationpath towarda career in dental hygiene. In her free time, she enjoys painting, hiking and spending time with family.

Angel is acaring member of our dental assistingteam. She graduated Everest College with adegree in dental assisting.She loves being a dental assistant and her goal is to provide the highest possible quality of care. She wants every patient to have a gentle and relaxing dental care experience. She leaves every patient with a smile and the understanding that every time they return they will be well cared for. Outside of the office, Angel's biggest loves are her football playing son Jack and her four beautiful rescue kitties. When you meet Angel, you will realize that her name fits her perfectly.

A native of MN, Kris moved to CA in 2013. She worked as an oral surgery assistant in Dr. Tokuyama's husband's office before taking a break to help her own husband with his business. She is now our hygiene coordinator, and enjoys working with patients to make them feel special. In her free time she makes frequent trips back to MN to enjoy time with her three grown children and grandchildren.
