Dr. Jean Chang-Lowe was born in Baltimore, Md., and was raised in Davenport, Iowa. She received a bachelors degree from Cornell College and attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Ill. After receiving her doctorate of dental surgery in 1994, Dr. Chang-Lowe attended a one-year, hospital-based residency program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and the VA Medical Center. She continued at the University of Iowa with a prosthodontics fellowship at the dental school and VA hospital. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Volusia-Flagler Dental Association andthe Volusia Dental Academy. Dr. Chang-Lowe routinely exceeds the continuing education requirements mandated by the state of Florida and embraces proven, new technologies that dentistry offers.
Dr. Chang-Lowe has been in practice in the Daytona Beach area since 1996. Her husband, whom she met in dental school, was born and raised here and is an orthodontist in Port Orange. They have beautiful, 16-year-old twins, Max and Marley, who are their pride and joy. Outside of work, she enjoys the arts, theater, concerts, reading, traveling, and a good game of billiards.

This is the best and friendliest dentist office I have ever gone to. Dr. Jean Chang Lowe immediately calms any nerves with her soothing voice and gentle demeanor. Not to mention, they do top notch dental work. Highly recommend this office to anyone!

I LOVE this office and everyone in it. So friendly and kind and always upbeat. Dr. Chang Lowe has the softest touch of any dentist I've ever seen. You literally can't even feel what she is doing at times. I will NEVER go anywhere else

Doctor Chang-Lowe and her staff have cared for my family's dental needs for many years and I have only positive things to say. The quality of her dental work is excellent and her examinations and treatment plans are thorough and offer practical options. Her referral sources are equally excellent. As a result, I chose to remain with her through multiple changes in my dental insurance and even when I have no insurance. Why take a risk with your teeth if you don't have to?

Total rip off!!! I called and made an appointment to get a cracked filling looked at. I was charged $126 to be evaluated and x-rays. I was quoted $351 for my out of pocket expenses (on top of the $126 that I already paid). After I had the two fillings fixed, they sent me another bill for $522.30 making my bill over $1,000.00 (after my insurance payments). I was charged twice for an exam and twice for x-rays for the same two fillings!!! (All I wanted was to get my two fillings fixed). The office staff seems very pleasant when you first meet them but once you question your bill or express a concern, they become very rude and condescending (Jennifer). They have no office manager to discuss concerns with and Dr. Chang-Low refuses to do anything about the hyper inflated repetitive charges or even call me back since there is no office manager. In fact, if you call around to other local dentists, you will find that Dr. Chang-Lowe is MUCH higher priced that most of the dentist in the area. GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST!!!! Very disappointed!!!!

I had always been a big baby when going to a dentist, but I have never had any reservations about going to her, she is so kind, gentle, and professional! (And I have been going to her for many years, and travel a long way, she is soooo worth the trip)!
