A Midwestern native, Dr. Jankowski was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology. In 2000 Dr. J graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry. Dr.J. completed a three year tourin the United States Air Force during which he received a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Langley AFB, VA. During his tour, Captain Jankowski was also stationed at Cannon AFB, NM where he completed his tour. In August of 2003 Dr. Jankowski took over the practice of the retiring Dr. David Brzoska in Lawrence, KS and began JayHawk Dental, where he practices today. Dr. Jankowski is proud to serve the dental needs of Douglas county Kansas.
Dr. J is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is well on his was to his masters. Only 6% of general dentist have reached this level of expertise. He is an alum of the Pankey Institute for Continuing Dental Education and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also one of only 25 general dentists in Kansas that performs IV sedation to better serve our patients. In the past Dr J has held the office of secretary, treasurer, vice president and president of the Douglas County Dental Society. He served in each position for multiple terms.
Dr. J and Amy have two children, Sabrina and Max. On days when school is out the children are frequently found at the office. Whenever possible Dr. Jankowski enjoys the great outdoors and is a dedicated bird hunter.
Tracy brings vast experience to the office with over 33 years in the dental field. She started out as a dental assistant in 1982 but after four years she decided to further her career and go on to dental hygiene school. She received a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Missouri Southern State College in 1986. She has been a JayHawk since 2007. However, she would rather be known as a loyal K-state fan. Tracy and her family, including eight children live in the Ottawa area. Tracy stays very busy attending her childrens school functions and sporting events. She also enjoys camping, hiking and traveling. She is frequently seen wearing purple.
Rianne has been in the dental field for over 22 years and her experience and caring shows in her work. She earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from FSCC and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2007. When she's not rockin' it at work, she enjoys spending time with her two sons who are huge Jayhawk fans. She also enjoys attending sporting events, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

I can't imagine a better dental office. I moved outside of Lawrence, but I still drive 45 minutes each way just to keep coming back here. The staff provide excellent and honest service. Highly recommended.

Went into the office to check on having dentures reclined. Was met with a friendly atmosphere from both staff and Dr J. Was given the opportunity to consult with oral surgeon concerning implants but decided against it. Dr J agreed with my decision and it was appreciated I felt no pressure or any other services. Very happy finding this practice.

My previous dentist retired about 10 years ago and I had to look for a new one. I found Dr. J by luck and have been extremely glad I did. He has been the best dentist I have ever seen. I refer him to anyone who tells me they need some dental assistance. He focuses on the issue, explains what he is doing and provides the best care I have ever seen when it comes to my teeth. His staff is friendly and always accommodating. In 10 years I have no complaints and my teeth are in the best health they have ever been.

Moved to this area and did my homework. Great dentist. Great staff. I am pleased with the work on my teeth. My wife is happy to have a great dentist. Dr. J removed my son's wisdom teeth. Followed up that evening. Procedure went smooth and my son is ready for school to start. Awesome experience.

The hygienist is helpful for ways to keep my teeth the cleanest possible. The conversation is pleasant and she does a thorough job. The Dentist recently filled a small cavity for me and he is VERY thorough with his work, the details, and photo record!

Highly impressed with this practice! We are new to the area so had to rely on trusted ole google. Jayhawk dental did not disappoint! PJ the hygienist was amazing, she along with the Dr. listened to my concerns and in conjunction came up with a treatment plan. Glad to have found this dentistry on my first try!

I have severe anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and they always put me at ease and do an amazing job and are super thoughtful and sweet even though I freak out a little and they took care of my whole family and we all really like everybody there it's a great it's clean I'd recommend

I started going to Jayhawks Dental after years without dental care. Right from the start they have always treated me with kindness and respect. During my first year there I had 13 cavities filled. I have been going back every 6 months, and now my gums and teeth are healthy again! Also, I have had good experiences with everyone there. I like how Dr. Jankowski always explains what he's doing and why. The hygienists and receptionists are also always nice and helpful.
