Nothing matters more to us than the health and safety of our patients. To protect both you and our team, weve implemented the following steps into our dental offices protocols. If you have questions about how were making your visit a safe experience, feel free to reach out to us.

Dr. Jay Lopez likes to refer to himself as the end of the road dentist, because rather than just treating minor problems as they pop up, his goal is to solve patients underlying issues and enhance their smiles esthetically at the same time. This results in an attractive, healthy smile that can be trusted to stay that way for years to come! He and our team are ready to offer you a truly unique level of expertise, care, and comfort, ensuring that well completely change the way you think about dentistry.

Jay R. Lopez, DDS, PC - General dentist in Tucson, AZ

As leaders in dentistry, we strive to maintain an enthusiastic environment that promotes patient satisfaction through knowledge, efficiency, and integrity. Listening to your dental concerns is one of our most important jobs. Developing an individualized treatment plan and completing the dental work necessary to restore your mouth to its healthy, esthetically pleasing best takes time, effort, and teamwork. Our goal is to give you the smile youve dreamed of and deserve while offering a unique team that is gentle and passionate about changing the stereotypical concept of fear, pain, and embarrassment that normally is thought of when you hear the word DENTIST.

Dental offices across the country have stepped up to the new challenges of today when it comes to sanitation and infection control, but Dr. Lopez and our team have gone farther than anyone else. Here, we have active air filtration technology, which literally sends out charged ions to seek and kill bacteria and viruses. All surfaces are covered with an invisible nano-coat that eliminates all bacteria and viruses, and we fog our dental office at the end of each day, meaning that every patient can come to see us with peace of mind.

Thanks to his degrees in both mechanical engineering as well as dentistry, Dr. Lopez is able to take a uniquely precise and predictable approach for each patient, ensuring they know exactly what is going on throughout each phase of their care. Rather than just telling you about your issues and treatment options, he can show you your smile from his perspective so you can see exactly what hes talking about, and then he can create a 3D mock-up of what your teeth will look like after a procedure that you can actually wear to give you a preview of the results.

Jay R. Lopez, DDS, PC - General dentist in Tucson, AZ

Over the years, Dr. Lopez has completed countless hours of continuing education focused on every facet of dental implant care, so he is able to provide every part of the treatment in-house to help our patients save time and stress while he rebuilds their smiles. He can perform the surgical placement, attach the restoration, and even complete any preparatory bone grafts so that you can work with the same trusted doctor and team throughout the process.

Patient comfort is always one of our top priorities, and for those who are nervous about an upcoming procedure, Dr. Lopez is happy to offer a safe and proven way to make those feelings go away. He is certified to provide IV sedation, which in addition to being able to relax a patient very quickly, also allows him to adjust the medication in real-time to ensure they feel perfectly content at every moment.

I found myself desperate to see a dentist as my temporary crown put on a week ago in WA fell off and broke while on vacation here in Tucson. Called around and Dr Jay Lopez office made me an appt. Disappointed as after 2 hrs, and an exam and an X-ray, no treatment plan except refused to do replacement of temporary crown. Even with insurance and offer to pay cash!I couldn't believe I was sent on my way with a sensitive tooth and no resolution till I return home to my own dentist. Empathy, kindness, and creative thinking was absent.

Just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out today. No general anesthetic and the procedure was quick and painless (yes you read that right). Excellent bedside manner and great sense of humor in the room. Erika, his assistant was wonderful as well.

Alright guy's. Fair warning; I am about to write a novel. If you ever need dental work done and are looking do not go to J R Lopez on Tanque Verde. I thought he was a great choice at first. All of his reviews online are amazing. I called the office, explained my situation to the receptionist and they were so helpful and sweet. It made me feel confident going in there. My consultation came around on 01/04/2021, again the receptionist was phenomenal. I went into the back and met the dentist's assistant who did most of the talking with me. She seemed really understanding, we went through all of my medical problems, concerns, ect. I was VERY honest. Then J R Lopez came in. It was a brief introduction. Then, without explaining anything he asked me if I had any questions. Without an explanation of the basics I really had no idea of what to ask, so I didn't get much out of the conversation. I did deeply express my concern and phobia with him. He stated it was not a problem at all. I asked him twice if he was sure he would work on me. Both times he said yes. So I leave, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the lack of information. The only thing he wanted to give me was Ibuprofen and Tylenol. So the next day 01/05/2021 $1334 was charged to my credit card. We scheduled the removal for today, 01/14/2021. I go in, very nervous. Especially because I was advised they would not give me pain medication for recovery. The only pain medication they did give me was to be taken at midnight the night before the surgery. Which makes no sense to me, thats 8 hours before my appointment, at that point the medication would have worn off. So why was it prescribed and advised to be taken like that in the first place? There just wasn't much information given. There wasn't much consideration behind me as a patient. So they bring me back (anyone who knows me knows I have really bad anxiety) and naturally I cry a bit because I'm scared and nervous. Then J R Lopez comes in and tells me he refuses to work on me due to my crying. I asked him multiple times during my consultation if he was 100% sure he would work on me. Then, after being in the room for less then 10 minutes I was told I needed to be referred elsewhere. After speaking to my referral, he advised me I needed to take something 30 minutes before my appointment for my anxiety, I needed antibiotics to avoid infection and I most definitely needed pain medication for recovery. All in all this was a horrible, time wasting, money draining experience and I sincerely hope they refund me my money since no services were provided.

Dr Lopez and his staff are by far the best in the business. If they can't take care of your dental problems it's possible no one can. I went to several dentists before Dr. Lopez and none of them could fix my dental problems correctly but Dr. Lopez is well on the way to fixing them.

Dr. Lopez has been my Dentist for years. His knowledge and expertise along with his ability to go above and beyond in a complicated case is top notch. While there are many Dentists closer to my home, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my care. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful too!

People don't usually say they love to go to the dentist, but I do. I've been a patient of Dr. Lopez since 2000/2001 and I have always received the very best care. Dr. Lopez is one doctor who believes in continuing education and staying on top of the latest research and technology in his field. He also takes the time to educate his patients with regard to diagnosis, care and treatment. I would not trust anyone else to do complicated work on my teeth and have appreciated his knowledge and years of experience when he created a care plan for me. I want to keep my teeth when I'm old and Dr. Lopez is helping me do that! He's the best there is!
