Terrible...broke my filling and then canceled my appt. To fix filling while I was in his parking lot. Suggested unnecessary procedures. Must manipulate ratings to get 4.5 out 5 stars.

I had a Fantastic experience!!! The previous Dental Office wanted to do a Bridge but after the consult with Doctor Marks I realized this idea of an Implant worked beautifully and turned out so much better! The other office would have done a Bridge which Doctor Marks explained the process, this would have compromised the other two teeth, by drilling them down, my other office was also going to do the treatment without addressing my bleeding gums. Doctor Marks treatments involved treating my gums also so that my other teeth would not get loose. Now I have a beautiful smile and healthy non bleeding gums. He explained the process before and I felt very comfortable. They are on top of all infection control protocols. I felt perfectly safe there. The process checking out was great too! Payment was easy, they also allowed payment plans! The office was great- GREAT JOB Doctor Marks!!

My initial experience in getting set-up with an appointment was terrific, Kim the office manager is an affable, warm and professional person in all facets, she was very helpful and responsive. When I arrived at my appointment I had great expectation as this was the first time I've used a new dentist in almost 20 years as I recently relocated to the Danbury area from NYC and could no longer make the commute to see my old dentist. My appointment was for a teeth cleaning and x-rays. The hygienist was friendly, but seemed to be very young and inexperienced. Her name was Courtney and she was very nice and professional at first, but as cleaning began I noticed she didn't seem that thorough and as the appointment started to wind down she started pressuring me with aggressive sales tactic including an optional rinse while I was in the dental chair with my mouth being worked on, super sleazy. After I was done she insisted I sign a waiver of sorts stating that I denied the optional gum rinse, even more sleazy than pressuring to up sell me. Lastly for the exam, she made statements about many cavities and that I should make an appointment with Dr. Marks who I expected to be there and to review my cleaning like most dentist do to discuss additional treatments. The hygienist was only doing her job and it's a poor reflection on Dr. Marks and his slimy sales tactics to not be there to review my cleaning, but to have his staff utilize used car selling tactics to up sell dental services. It literally left a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended! To add insult to injury I noticed that his hygienist Courtney Riley actually wrote a review herself which is not only unethical, but a violation of the Google terms of service for businesses. I would have only given Dr. Marks 1 start, but I gave it 2 stars because of Kim the office manager, seemingly the only professional person in the practice! Any dentist or doctor who employs used car aggressive selling tactics and encourages his staff to write reviews for a business they work at to promote the overall score at the end of the day lacks integrity and should be avoided. You never know what one might do if they lack professional integrity....

I had been having pain in my tooth for awhile. My regular dentist insisted that I have the tooth extracted with a surgery and being knocked out, and then have very expensive implants installed. He gave me no other options. Luckily when the pain became severe, my dentist was out of town. I found Dr. Marks on google. Based on those reviews and speaking to some people in my office, I decided to give his office a try. It sounds odd that I say that I am happy I had the tooth ache, since I then found Dr. Marks. He was very comforting and gave me options and explanations. I chose to have the tooth saved with a root canal. It was he first time in months that my mouth felt comfortable. I did not have to have the discomfort and expense that my regular dentist wanted to do. Dr. Marks' office also helped with finances. Not only was the root canal painless, but the finances were painless also. I will be having my records transferred to Dr. Marks' office. Thank you Dr. Marks and staff for making me feel so comfortable.

Dr. Marks, is great, to sum it up quickly! He is very caring, understanding and compassionate, and, emphasizes your health over trying to make money, which is big for me, since my previous dentist was the opposite! Can't recommend him highly enough!

My family and I have been regular patients of Dr. Marks for over a year now.To say that we are really happy having found him doesn't even begin to describe how we feel about all the care he has provided to us. Also, as others have mentioned, all the staff (Kim) is extremely helpful, attentive, and extremely accommodative to my difficult schedule. When we got to Dr. Marks the first time, all of us needed attention for hygiene and resolve some issues, but now we are in a much better place. My personal experience after coming with a tooth infection/decay has been one of painless, detailed, accurate, and quality procedures. I can also attest for my 10 year old daughter Romima who chipped her two front teeth this summer while playing on the pool. By her own words ..."Dr.Marks was very kind and fixed and put in a filament to substitute the pieces i had lost he was absolutely great, he was very empathetic to my misfortune of somehow managed to chip my teeth on the bottom of a pool. The experience was very smooth and easy really recommend to kids who are scared of dentists. i'm very happy that my parents know Dr.Marks he was great!" If you were thinking where to go for your dental care need, I am serious, look no more and give Dr Marks a visit.

Dr. Marks and his staff have been incredible in helping me get my teeth issues resolved. Not only are they extremely friendly, the procedures are pain free and they're always willing to work with you on a time you can see them. I recommend Dr. Marks to everyone, but especially those who are like me and fear going to the dentist. Thank you Kim, Courtney and Dr. Marks for giving me my smile back!! - Mike

Dr. Marks and hygienists are all very friendly and helpful! Overall a wonderful experience in which I would recommend to others. *I beg to differ but I would just like to state that I am NOT the hygienist as Zo O mentioned in their review. I find it unethical that one would make such false accusations. It is insulting that one would assume one is writing a review about themselves. If you took a look at my picture you would clearly notice that I am obviously NOT the hygienist.

No more pain or bleeding gums, or bad breath. Thanks to Dr. Marks and his hygienist, they helped my gums without surgery. I don't have insurance, but they have an in office finance plan, which is just as painless as the dental treatment :-) Thanks Dr. Marks and staff--Highly recommended.

If I could give 0 stars I would--AVOID THIS OFFICE!! As some other reviewers have mentioned, Dr. Marks DOES employ certain high pressure tactics, especially in regards to the chlorhexidine rinse. Not only is the office DIRTY, but as other reviewers have said, the Dr is NOT PRESENT AT ALL FOR YOUR EXAM THE SAME DAY AS YOUR CLEANING!!!! He responded to a post on here stating that he was dealing with an emergency, which is not true. It is his customary practice to not do the exam the same day as the cleaning and instead advises his hygienist to diagnose (ILLEGAL FOR ANY RDH TO MAKE THE DIAGNOSIS) and to instruct the patient that they must return for an exam (they say it's free of charge! They STILL CHARGE you for the exam, they just include it with the same date of service as the cleaning--ANOTHER ILLEGAL PRACTICE!!) They have also been known to bill for a full mouth series when they only take a panoramic with bitewing X-rays...it is illegal to bill for the two as a full mouth series and even if that were not the case the pan does not show what periapical X-rays do, they are diagnostically completely different. As you can probably guess, I have a dental background and little did he know that I am smarter than he gave me credit for... in addition to these ethical and practice management issues, the office is unclean, outdated and does NOT adhere to infection control standards as mandated by OSHA. The dentist's skill is questionable and his violations of OSHA & infection control procedures are obvious. I would never recommend this place!! I can only imagine how disgusting their "sterilization" procedures are! When I was there I did not see even one sterilization pouch for the instruments used, rather they were in a yellowed, old looking plastic wrapping that apparently gets RE-USED. Completely dusgusting. ***UNFORTUNATELY MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER CANNOT BE POSTED AS IT EXCEEDS THE CHARACTER LIMIT! So in short, I was not a candidate for the CHX rinse as my oral health is exemplary and my gingiva is healthy, pink & stippled with no bleeding whatsoever and no pocketing. I was STILL pressured by the hygienist despite my specific oral health. It proves that the recommendation of the rinse IS NOT individualized to patient need but more to drive production. Despite your supposed cleaning service, office is dirty/dusty/dingy. Personal & clinical skills lacking based on my experiences. Was not referring to cassettes, you do not use single use steri pouches w/indicators or the cassette wrapping paper w/indicator tape; you RE-use your own plastic bags that are gross looking and hopefully you are spore testing! Just gross from an infection control aspect. Not a modern office, Not utilizing EMR, not paperless, no digital radiographs, exposing your patients to more radiation dose and producing images of lesser quality. For someone who claims to have saved lives, neither you nor your hygienist conduct ANY oral cancer examination...an extraoral & intraoral exam is the standard for establishing a baseline for each patient and should be done at every recare visit at least. Advancements now include saliva swab tests and use of fluorescence as adjuncts for a comprehensive evaluation. A panoramic film can show cysts, tumors, bone irregularities, congenitally missing or impacted teeth but it is NOT a replacement for the actual oral cancer exam.Speaking of exams, you say you provide a second exam free of charge to more thoroughly conduct the exam...my point was the DR exam should be done at the initial appt. from an insur and diagnostic perspective the rdh exam doesn't count. Unsure of CT's exact legislation but the majority of states consider it an actual felony for a hygienist to see new patients before the dr. It is technically performing dentistry without a license, by definition, and organized dentistry has yet to change these laws,Regardless, the law is the law! The hygienist is not allowed to "alter the state of the oral environment" prior to the dr's diagnosis and the dr's order is required for dental hygiene treatments and therapies.

Painless Painless Painless.......both the work that Dr. Marks does is painless (can you believe a pain free root canal), and paying for treatments is painless also. They have a payment plan that spreads out payments and is easy as pie to apply for. LOOK NO FURTHER. Thanks Dr. Marks and staff, I never felt a thing!
