Dr. Chanson and Staff were absolutely lovely! I have general anxiety and a decent sized fear of the dentist. Or I used to! But Dr. Chason and his staff were very kind. I got four wisdom teeth pulled at once. Definitely worth getting "knocked out" as I put it, I barely remember a thing and it felt like I blinked then it was over! Overall I've felt very little to no pain whatsoever and no nausea. He was on top of making sure I had antibiotics for a tooth that was impacted and slightly infected. Also, after my initial consultation they got me in asap (about two weeks after) and it was very much appreciated! Then, called me later that evening after the procedure to make sure everything was alright! Very patient and kind staff all around! I highly recommend their office! :)

Very professional staff. Dr. Chason is experienced and has good communication skills. I've experienced extractions prior to my visit, I must say this was the by far best outcome. Highly recommend this practice for difficult dental issues.

I went to Dr.Chason because my whole family swears by him. I live an hour away and all the other doctors in my area gave me insane quotes for my wisdom teeth extraction. Firstly, I was thrilled with his availability. I got in within a month of consultation. When I arrived for the appointment, I went in right away with the anesthesiologist. She was phenomenal! The nurse supporting her (and my head) was also very kind. When the doctor came in he went right to finding a vein which is difficult on me - and he got it no problem! I swear when I woke up it felt like 5 minutes had gone by and I never remember falling asleep. The only thing I will say is that I wish I was told in the consultation that I needed to schedule a stitch removal a week out. I work a non benefited job with no PTO so finding the time a week out was a bit of a pinch. Furthermore, I was supposed to have been given prescriptions at the consultation (they do that kindly so that you can be extra prepared) but they forgot. I was still able to get my medications in plenty of time. I still choose to give 5 stars because mistakes happen and I'm essentially unaffected. In total, this is an efficient, cost effective, and overall extremely pleasant place to go!

I had a broken tooth that was exasperated. It was an older broken tooth which had undergone a root canal in years past. Experiencing some pain I wanted to get the tooth extracted as a short term solution. And being that I was new to the Westminster area, I did not have a regular dentist. After researching the dentists in the area I came across Dr. Jay Chason. He had many reviews which were almost all entirely good reviews. He also was an oral surgeon. And I knew this was a good place to start. I had a 1:00 pm appointment. And when I got to the office there was a few other people waiting to get in. I thought it may be some time before the doctor could see me. To my delight, when the staff came back from lunch, they went to work right away. Whether it was paperwork or being put in front of the doctor. Things started to move in an efficient manner. In this covid stricken world that we live in we tend to have to rearrange our expectations to tolerate inefficiencies where in the past this was seldom the case. To my delight, this crew functioned like a fine tuned machine. And was very professional as well as polite to work with. A very refreshing experience for anyone to endure. After a brief wait I had my x-rays taken by a state of the art machine. Then I was taken to a room where I would have services performed. Only a few minutes later I met Dr. Jay Chason. He introduced himself and I immediately knew this doctor was something more than ordinary! He explained everything thoroughly to me and asked several times if I had any questions. The good doctor was not only extremely professional he was very kind and compassionate. A genuine combination to experience! He then wasted no time going to work in a very methodical manner. And efficiently remedied my issue in a short time. Never felt I was in better hands in my life! This man is an exceptional dentist, father and man. Don't hesitate to bring your dental work to this doctor. You too will be in very good hands:)

The staff is incredibly ignorant, do not check their referral emails and outright lie about what documents said. I've filed a complaint with the state board of dental examiners about these ethics violations. Missy needs to be fired for violating MD regulations that are there to ensure such abuses don't happen.

A few years ago I had all 32 teeth and 2 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time and they did wonderful job. Woke up with no pain, things healed very well. I'm very grateful and thankful for the job doctor j did. I'm not in pain all the time anymore.

Daughter had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Chason did a wonderful job, called later that evening, and at the check up everything looked wonderful. A great experience there, Marty was VERY helpful as well as 2 other ladies. Only complaint was the 1 receptionist that needs to lose the attitude.

My daughter had 4 adult teeth pulled just recently. We chose to use general anesthesia because we were advised to by our Orthodontist and are very glad we did. She has healed nicely and we had a pleasant experience. Dr. Chason always has a consultation before scheduling a surgery. During this visit he explained to my daughter what the procedure would be like and answered any questions she had. After the surgery, he personally called to check up on her. I found the office staff to be friendly and prepared. I would highly recommend Dr. Chason for your child.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My daughter has MD healthy smiles insurance and this is the only place in Westminster that accepts it. His bedside manner isn't great but we could live with that. I requested general anesthesia since she was having 4 adult teeth pulled for her orthodontics. My daughter is terrified of needles and I informed him of that. I asked if they could put her out with gas before starting the iv. He said they know what they're doing. That should've been enough for me to take her elsewhere. They finally fit her in 6 months after that appointment and when we got there, they asked her weight and height. I told them the weight but wasn't sure about her height. They seemed very annoyed by that, by the way. We went back to the room and they started her on the nitrous gas. Then, they did the iv while she was screaming and they did nothing to comfort or calm her. Not even talking to her. Then they told me it was time for me to go to the waiting room. Before I could even sit down, I heard her scream. 5 minutes later, they came to get me and when I saw her, she was completely awake and alert. That is not how she comes out of anesthesia at all. I've seen her come out of it two times before this. I asked her about the procedure and she told me she didn't feel anything after the put the needles in but she remembered everything that they did. If he had put my child to sleep, she wouldn't remember anything. Now she has to have her wisdom teeth removed and she's more than terrified. We will never go to him again. I don't care if I have to drive hours away. Call your insurance company and find another surgeon, especially if it's for your child. He is absolutely horrible!!! We will be seeing a surgeon in syskesville for her next procedure. I've heard he's just as bad with adults as well. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO HIM!!!!

Unfriendly and unprofessional staff, I was having problems with my payment plan, I received a charge for my bill and was able to check its status through my online banking saying it was paid for, then received a statement from my insurance stating that the charge was almost double the amount I was actually supposed to pay for. When I called to have the matter resolved the staff was not very helpful or concerned with my matter and did not take the time or issue seriously, I will not be visiting or recommending Dr. Jay Chason again to anyone.

Getting my wisdom teeth taken out is something that I've been dreading most of my life, but Dr. Chason made the whole experience comfortable and easy. I didn't have any pain during or following the procedure and no other issues.
