Dr. Gonzalez was a model of professional care, more than could be expected from the beginning of my association through my dental surgery. I found him to be completely focused on doing this the right way. I was very pleased with all of my three visits to him. Each of them was efficient, professional, and thorough. When I had dental surgery with him, he made it clear that I should call him on his mobile if I had any question at all. And then on the evening of my surgery after the work was completed, he called me twice to verify that I was having no difficulty. I'm impressed by the man, by his practice and his knowledge. I would strongly recommend him to anyone thinking of complicated dental care! I rate him 6 on a scale of 5! Admiral Bill Owens, US Navy

Stay. Away. It is a money hustle. He (well, his nurse) fast-talked me into having gum surgery in my ENTIRE MOUTH ($13,000.00) whereas previously it had to be done one or two pockets at a time. I could kick myself for not getting a second opinion. My mouth has never been the same. I flew to Boston to see my longtime periodontist who had never heard of a whole mouth procedure, and said this dentist had exposed too much of many teeth at the gum line. My primary (in Sarasota) mentioned that he'd felt, for some time, that Sarasota dentists had been cleaning up, especially with seniors. An unfortune PS. His perio cleaning people use a water and salt set-up that is absolute torture.

I don't like the doctor.He not polite, can not talk without nervous.He don't want to fix any problem, what he did and don't care about.Now I will go to another doctor for second opinion,and ask him to fix problem what Doctor Gonzalez did on me gums.Maybe I gonna go to the health department and explain the situation.

I was referred to Dr. Gonzalez by Dr Doan after a consultation with Dr Doan about my upper front four teeth. Four years prior I had veneers and crowns placed on the upper front four and had constant inflammation and bleeding from the gums surround those teeth ever since. Dr Gonzalez explained what was causing the inflammation/bleeding and what would be necessary to correct it before I had new crowns placed by Dr. Doan. In his consultation room, Dr Gonzalez explained to me the process of having crown lengthening surgery . He also described his philosophy and techniques for treatment. My biggest concern going in was making sure I was in capable hands. I didn't want a repeat of what happened to me four years prior. Dr. Gonzalez is extremely capable and professional. After my initial consultation , I walked out very confident and Dr. Gonzalez did not disappoint. I truly believe I received the best possible care and treatment. Dr. Gonzalez is great. He is extremely personable and he cares. He took the time to explain what was going on and what needed to happen. The surgery went really smooth and seamless, and I was in little to no discomfort immediately following. The results have been fantastic. My gums feel great with no bleeding or any inflammation and are just about ready for my new crowns. The office staff in both the Sarasota and Venice locations that I visited were top notch, very nice, and made for the most pleasant experience. I honestly couldn't be happier with how things have turned out so far. Everything from Dr Gonzalez himself, to his staff and assistants were A+

This practice demonstrates everything you would hope for as a patient. Dr. Gonzalez is a skilled and brilliant surgeon with a wonderful disposition. He performed major surgery on my mouth and I felt at ease through the entire process. His staff is very friendly and organized. I highly recommend Sarasota Periodontal Associates to everyone! Don't go anywhere else.

Dr. Gonzalez is amazing and is the best! I was at ease at all times and felt more than confident in his abilities. He reviewed everything with me thoroughly throughout the whole process. He also took the time to follow up with me several times to see how I was feeling and if I had any further questions. His staff is very courteous and professional and Betty is also super helpful. They took all the proper precautions to keep patients and staff safe. I knew I was in the best hands, as you will be too. Thank you!

Several years ago I needed some significant oral surgery and was referred to Dr. Gonzalez. That surgery and the corresponding implants were done in an outstanding fashion. Since then, I have recently gone through another round of surgery and again, everything was done in an outstanding fashion. However, the most impressive thing about Dr. Gonzalez is that he really cares about the well being of his patients, particularly after surgery. The most recent time, he called me every day for the 4 days following my procedure. He did this the first time but I was again taken back with the calls. It is not often a doctor takes the time to do things like this. I have to be one of his biggest fans because I mention his work and follow up as many times as I can. He's the best.

Looking for a great Periodontist, look no further. Dr. Gonzalez also comes to LWR. Great staff and a very caring dental specialist. He specializes in periodontology and implant dentistry. He is associated with Sarasota Periodontal Associates in Sarasota and Venice as well as LWR.

I had fairly extensive periodontal work, and an implant, done here over 5 years ago and have been coming back for semi-annual checkups since. I have been very satisfied with my experience throughout this time. Dr Gonzalez and all the staff are very professional, always friendly, and very thorough. I highly recommend this practice!

I began a project involving orthodontic and periodontal work about 18 months ago. Dr. Gonzalez's treatment began with extraction of some teeth, and rebuilding areas of my gums with tissue transplanted from the roof of my mouth. After healing from that and spending 17 months receiving orthodontic treatment including braces on my teeth, I am again being treated by Dr. Gonzalez. He has done one implant and grafted some bone to my jaw in preparation for a second implant. I know that sounds like a lot, and it is. By the way, I was 66 years old when this process started. Dr Gonzalez is a very decent caregiver, who clearly is at the top of his field. His work is flawless and he always insured that my discomfort was as minimal as possible. I look forward to getting to the finish line with all this dental work, but I will be disappointed to be ending my time and relationship with Dr Gonzalez. You won't get better periodontal care anywhere.

OMG. The gum graft was so successful ... and so easy. I was so leery of having a gum graft that I actually had braces applied to hope to prevent this surgery. I got it all backwards. I should have done the gum graft first - no braces! Had I met with Dr. Gonzales initially, the decision to proceed with the surgery would have been a simple one. In the initial visit He does the exam, then sits down with you to go over the procedure he recommends. Answers all questions and explains all the options with pros and cons. The surgery itself was a breeze. I chose the sedation, so I don't remember anything except the gradual sleepiness and then the gentle awakening. Post-surgery care was easy and uneventful. Please learn from my experience and lack of understanding.

Caring and compassionate, Dr. Gonzalez takes all the time needed to explain the problem and the procedure that will correct it with highly informative computer animation. My surgery and recovery went exactly as he explained. Following my surgery, he called at 8:00pm to see how I was doing. Now that's caring!

We recently moved to the Venice area and were lucky to find a great dentist who referred me to Dr. Gonzalez for crown lengthening. While doing his own initial exam, Dr. Gonzalez explained what he was doing and why it was important. Then after the exam he went into more detail explaining the biology and anatomy of gums and teeth which helped me understand the procedures he recommended and why those options were the best. His staff was great as well, taking as much time as we needed to explain the pre-op and post-op instructions as well as the prescriptions. Then on the day of the procedures Dr. Gonzales was hands-on getting the room and equipment set up and getting me prepared. Then after the crown lengthening and root reshaping was done, he escorted me to the car himself and he called me himself that night to see how things were going. Different members of his staff called from his offices in Sarasota and Venice to inquire how things were going at different times throughout the first week of recovery. And after the first follow up visit it is obvious that he and his entire staff are treating us like we are part of their family.
