Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Dr. David Gamotis attended Auburn University where in 1999, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, Magna cum Laude. He continued on to the UAB School of Dentistry, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2003 and his Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2007.
In January of 2008, Dr. Gamotis opened his full-time practice in Jasper, Alabama. In 2013, he completed the final stage of American Board of Orthodontics board certification process to become the first board-certified orthodontist practicing in Walker County.

We will listen to your goals in seeking treatment, and determine the treatment options that will create your healthy new smile in a timely, comfortable manner.
We believe in a patient-centered approach to orthodontics, which means putting you and your smile needs at the forefront of all we do. We will work with you and find the treatments that are right for your clinical needs and timeline, never recommending treatments that arent necessary or arent perfect for you.
Dr. David Gamotis and his team have the experience and knowledge necessary to gently shift your teeth into proper alignment, ensuring a proper bite, great oral health, and a beautiful smile. They are passionate about providing excellent orthodontic care to those they serve.
We have furnished our office with state-of-the-art equipment and leading-edge technologies, which mean shorter treatment times, less discomfort, and stronger, more accurate results for you. Of course, we only use the latest, proven treatment methodologies in creating smiles, picking and choosing which treatments are right for you based on your unique situation.
No matter where you go in our practice, youll see smiles and hear laughter. Our patients like to visit us, and our team loves to see them. Were all enthusiastic about creating life-changing smiles for our patients, and were equally as enthusiastic about the relationships we build with patients and their families, getting to know them on a personal level and looking forward to their visits as a chance to catch up on the latest happenings in their lives.
Dr. Gamotis and our team believe in giving back to and supporting our community and local schools. For example, 100 percent of the replacement retainer fees are donated to the Walker Area Community Foundation, which is a local nonprofit dedicated nurturing and advancing the community.

I saw Dr. Gamotis (pronounced gam-uh-teez) on 4/9/18. His office is clean and well decorated. The staff is courteous and efficient. The doctor is friendly and knowledgeable. There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it in my opinion. I was looking to have a permanent retainer removed, but my orthodontist had retired. Dr. Gamotis removed it for me the same day as my consultation free of charge. (The fee may have been waived due to the circumstances.) Another orthodontist I consulted was going to charge over $1,000 for the removal because they were pushing Invisalign or braces instead. I am very thankful that Dr. Gamotis helped me.

Dr. Gamotis is the BEST!! He is very nice, always has a great attitude & explains everything he's doing(as he's doing it) & will work with you to get you exactly what you want no matter how much time it takes! The staff is amazing & are very welcoming! They all work with you on anything you may need!! I'm so happy we chose them for my daughter's birthday!!
