Dr. Jason Smithberger graduated cum laude from Ohio State University in 2002. He then completed an optional intensive year of study in a Graduate Practice Residency program at Ohio State University Hospital.Dr. Smithberger has since continued to emphasize continuing education and has studied with some of the leading dentists in the country, including Frank Spear, Pete Dawson and Mark Piper. He regularly attends study groups with other dentists to constantly improve his quality of care.
Dr. Smithberger is a member of The Spear Faculty Club, ADA, MSDA, American Equilibration Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He continues his education through the Spear Study Club and Piper McKee TMD Study Club.
Dr. Smithberger is certified in invisalign orthodontics, which uses a series of clear aligners to move teeth. In addition he is able to reshape biting surfaces that may interfere with proper bite and joint relationships through a process called occlusal equilibration. This process can eliminate problems such as Temporalmandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), headaches, severe tooth wear, loose teeth, and gum recession. For every dental procedure, Dr. Smithberger uses dental loupes and a xeon light which magnifies and allows better precision. We scan for Invisalign, and crown & bridge with Itero Scanner. Our office also uses a Conebeam CT Machine.
Dr. Smithberger and his wife, Andrea, havefive children; Lauren, John, Lucy,Joseph, and Lily. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoys spending time with his family and golfing. He also donates his time helping with the following organization's: Mission of Mercy, World Vision Child Ambassador Team, Knights of Columbus, Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicap.

Brittany has been working with Dr. Smithberger for 8 years. Throughout your visit you'll see her in the back and at the front! She previously worked as a dental assistant at a periodontal office for 3 years after completing the dental assisting program at Community College of Baltimore County. Brittany lives in the Parkville area with her daughter, son, and husband.
Carolyn is the first person you will see when you visit Dr. Smithbergers' office. she's been here for a little over a year and a half. In 14 years working with the general public in positions such as teaching college, working retail, and working in the dental field, she has acquired the skills she needs to take care of all of your customer service needs. Carolyn has two Associate's degrees from Harford Community College, and a Bachelor's in Historical Studies from Notre Dame of Maryland University. When she isn't working you can find her performing live music at local Baltimore venues, catch her in the gym, and spending time with her boyfriend and their Greyhound in the Parkville area.
Anousheh has been working with Dr. Smithberger here in our Towson office for almost 9 years. She started working with Dr. Smithberger after completing her dental assisting program at Community College of Baltimore County. In addition to working four days a week with Dr. Smithberger, she has taken the opportunity to work with other dentists and specialists in the area to widen her experience.Anoushehis bilingual in English and Persian. She enjoys assisting and providing dental services to our patients to help them obtain good oral health.Anousheh lives in the area with her husband and two children.
Angie has been working with Dr. Smithberger here at our Towson office for 15 years. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 19 years since she graduated from the University of Maryland Dental Hygiene Program in 1999. Prior to working with Dr. Smithberger, she worked in a periodontal practice for several years. She truly enjoys helping her patients achieve optimal periodontal and dental health through periodontal therapy and encouraging them as they strive to improve their home care. Angie lives in the Hereford area with her husband, three children, and dog.

I felt like my procedure was handled professionally and expediently. The doc did a good job communicating with me before and during-- the hygienist was also skilled and yet friendly. The space is clean, there's a variety of music playing in the background (it could've been louder but I might be exceptional in that aspect), desk-staff were nice. If I had to have multiple cavities, glad I had them fixed here. Ha.

Very impressed with the practice so far! Was referred to Dr. Smithberger-- his office staff are so friendly and very professional. Dr. Smithberger is kind and was able to fit my daughter into his day on short notice. Treatment plan and options were given. He is knowledgeable and was able to explain things so there was no confusion. Definitely recommend!

I'm a new patient so I walked in with some apprehensions since I just moved to the area with little to no networks for referrals. I came across Jason Smithberger through an internal database through work and saw the reviews. It was a no brainer to give this dentistry a shot. From walking in to leaving, one of the best experiences I've had at the dentist. The hygienist was AWESOME, she was very thorough than most from my previous experience with dentistries up and down the NE coast (I move a lotttt). The dentist was prompt and very personable, answered all my questions, got me what I needed and I was on my way out with no problems :) . I will definitely be coming back and staying a patient until I ultimately ever decide to move. Highly recommend for any others that are new to the area or looking to switch providers!
