Dr. Jason L. Mantey grew up on his familys corn farm in Caro, Michigan. He attended Lake Superior State University where he earned a bachelor of science in biology. He then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he earned his doctorate in dental surgery.
Dr. Mantey has had years of experience, and has been in private practice in Bay City and Gaylord as an associate dentist. Recently Dr. Mantey took over the practice of Dr. Robert C. Howard, and moved with his family to Traverse City. He and his wife, Elise, have a two year old son, Lukas, and are expecting their second child in July.

I had to change dentists because of insurance. Dr Mantey came highly recommended and has not disappointed. I've not only had cleanings but most recently a crown. He's very meticulous, efficient and does excellent work. The staff actually acts like they love their job and are so happy to see you as a patient. So refreshing! Thank you!

I have had numerous cleanings and procedures here. The Doctor and the staff are skilled and professional. They are gentle, considerate, and thorough. They explain everything as they work. They are flexible with their appointment schedule. Recently, I have had two crowns set and they were both formed and applied in one visit and were not painful. I highly recommend this dental office for high quality dental care.

I left with my teeth not even feeling clean. the hygienist barely touched the polish to my teeth, and barely flossed! Very unprofessional, had to shake the dentist hand and meet for the first time while laying back in the chair. The room I was in was so crowded that I had to put my handbag on the floor. I will not be going back.

The customer service and staff at this office are THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! I absolutely love everyone there and have a hoot everytime I visit. I am very impressed. 10 stars!!

Dr. Mantey and his staff are very thorough and friendly. He takes time to explain what he's doing while performing procedures, which I found helped reduce my anxiety. I recently had an old crown replaced by him, and it looks and feels like a natural tooth. Definitely the best dental experience I've had.

I have been going to this office since I was 4 or 5 years old, when it was owned by Dr. Howard! My favorite thing about this office is it's small town, close knit feel! When I come into the office the same people have been working there for years, they remember how many kids I have, ask me about my life, knew my parents and care enough to remember my name when I walk through the door!
