Originally from Houston, Dr. Hong found himself in Illinois after getting married to a practicing Chicagoland dentist, and he couldnt be happier to call Clarendon Hills his new home! His philosophy is to always treat people how he would want to be treated, which is why he goes out of his way to make patients feel like family whenever they come to see us. After studying biology and urban studies in college, Dr. Hong decided to take the dental school entrance exam, and he was pleasantly surprised by how well he did! He was already interested in the profession, and this small success motivated him to pursue a career. Seventeen years later, hes still happy with the path hes taken.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Hong entered the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. In addition to loving the city (as well as the food!), the education he received was top-notch, but it didnt end when he graduated. After leaving school, he completed a general practice residency at Waterbury Hospital, and hes taken over 300 hours of continuing education every year since then. Today, he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, has a Masters Certification in progressive orthodontics, and is an Invisalign certified provider.
Away from dentistry, Dr. Hongs top priority is his family, which consists of his wife, daughter, and son, aged 13 and 11 respectively. Both of his children play golf competitively, and they love traveling together as a family, especially back to New York City. He still finds time to cheer on his beloved Houston sports teams, but hes converted into a Bears fan over the years.

Went in for a checkup and teeth cleaning and it could not have gone any better! Out in less then a half hour. Dr. Hong is very thorough and his assistants and receptionist are very friendly and helpful!

We have been going to Dr. Hong for many years now! He is amazing so as his staff! He even answers all our questions even about my toddler who goes to a pediatric dentist! The office and dental equipment are so clean! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

On my first visit, Dr. Hong diagnosed a very serious condition that required an immediate root canal. He fit me into his schedule for the next day. My insurance did not cover that procedure so he very kindly-and amazingly- accepted just my co-pay for his fee! His equipment is all high-tech and spotless, as is his entire office. His staff is pleasant and efficient. I am 80 years old and this is the best dental experience I have ever had!

Great Dentist Great b person. I been a patient of Dr. Lam for the past 15 years. We moved but I'm still doing an hour and 20 min. Drive twice a year to go and do my cleaning and my night guard with her. This visit was a little in expected because I chip a thoot and had to have a root canal and a courier crown but she made it so easy and painless. Thank you so much. Dr. Lam u are the best.

Very sterile buy extremely modern lobby. Nice attention to detail with the services provided and open to explain issues going on in your mouth. Came across as technically competent. I didn't appreciate some of the bedside comments about the excess of fillings in my mouth during the cleaning or how I need to brush 3 times a day (though I do it 2xs.) Those and other comments that lacked tact throughout my visit leaving me feeling bad about my mouth hygiene. Going to the dentist isn't everyone's favorite as it, so perhaps work on bedside comments about what your clients are doing well and balance out with the criticisms perhaps. The female dentist was who I visited with.
