Who has fun getting a root canal? I did this morning! Dr. Cohen saw me on a minute 's notice from my regular dentist, diagnosed the problem and we did the first stage of the root canal all in one sitting. He uses a simple two stage injection system for the Novocaine shots. In truth the first small injections are 'really' only a little prick and the followup 'real' injections 'really' did not hurt at all. He also used a process using a dam and 'cool' sunglasses to make the procedure relaxing. I think if I had tried, I could have fallen to sleep. I 'm 68 years old and have gone through a lot of pain in the dentist chair, but none with Dr. Cohen. This guy is good!!! You will be happy you chose him. - Tom Eddins

I'll make this short and sweet... I was experiencing severe pain after a simple crown procedure and was redirected to the office of Dr. Jason H. Cohen, DMD in Mount Pleasant. Professionalism and complete empathy were not only shown by his staff but also with Dr. Cohen himself. Dentists and orthodontists stress me the heck out, and give me high blood pressure. Dr. Cohen and his team were absolutely amazing! They were extremely friendly and helpful. They have a helpful dog assistant named Shuga, and gave me headphones and a tablet to listen during my procedure. Which was easy, and lasted less than 30 minutes! Dr. Cohen and his staff saved my weekend! I was visiting Charleston during the holiday weekend when I tripped and broke 3 of my front teeth during a run. Even though his specialty is root canals, Dr. Cohen agreed to work me in on a holiday Saturday and literally rebuilt my front teeth. Very professional, friendly office that understood my fear of having a root canal. Dr. Cohen gave me a low-dose drug to take an hour before to relieve the anxiety. He also suggested I bring ear buds & listen to music to relax. Both worked! Dr. Cohen is gentle, kind, & efficient! Procedure was finished in no time. Highly recommend!

Terrific staff. Very knowledgeable. Dr. Cohen had my mouth locked open for 45 minutes during surgery. When I was done with my root canal, my throat was so dry and sore. But the root canal was a success. I don't recommend the mouth lock. It holds your mouth wide open for him but really dries out your throat! My throat was raw and sore for 3 days afterwards. I had no idea!!! Other than that, he did a good job!

If you are unfortunate enough to need a root canal this is where you want to go! The experience was unexpectedly more pleasant than any of my other root canals !

Dr. Cohen and his staff are wonderful, kind, and thoughtful people! My husband and I have had Dr. Cohen as our endontist for around 10 to 15 years! He has the best bedside manners and always lets you know what to expect when doing the root canals. This is especially important to us since we go to him because of tooth pain, but leave his office with no pain! Go to see him for your endontistry needs! You will not be disappointed!

I just had the second procedure that Dr. Cohen's performed on my teeth. The first was what I surmise is not a typical one and he said he couldn't guarantee how long it might last, and close to ten years later, it's still good! So that makes me really happy. My recent procedure was a root canal. Virtually pain free. Everyone there keeper me relax -- I get very anxious going to the dentist.

Dr Cohen did a great job. Always heard avoid root canals if at all possible. I've have more uncomfortable experiences just getting my teeth cleaned. Would highly recommend Dr Cohen. His staff was great to work with as well

I've always heard how terrible getting a root canal was, so was nervous when I arrived at Dr. Cohen's office. Immediately they made me feel at ease. They talked me through everything and did not do anything until I told them I was comfortable. I would rather get a root canal with Dr. Cohen than a routine filling with my dentist. Incredibly professional staff and just overall amazing level of care. Hoping I don't need any more root canals in the future, but if I do, I know exactly where I'm going.

When I was in my dentists office with a painful molar needing a root canal, Dr. Cohen had me go directly to his office and I was numbed up (Thank the Lord!) and getting the tooth treated within 45 minutes. As a retired surgeon, I appreciate that degree of professional responsibility. Could not be happier with Dr Cohen and his very gracious staff.
