Dr. Buck is a practicing endodontist who comes to Carson City from a private practice in Philadelphia, where he completed his residency in endodontics at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Prior to his time in Pennsylvania, Dr. Buck was in private practice as a general dentist in Fresno, California.
He received his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Pacific School of Dentistry, where he graduated with high honors. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Buck went on to complete his residency at the University of Florida, where he was named Resident of the Year.
Dr. Bucks professional achievements include being named Chief Resident at Albert Einstein Medical Center. His awards include the Pierre Fauchard Scholarship for Excellence in Leadership, the OKU Award for Clinical Excellence, the American College of Prosthodontists Award for Excellence, the California Dental Association Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement, and membership in the Tau Kappa Omega Honor Society at the UOP School of Dentistry.

My husband was referred to this doctor because he needed a root canal. he went to the appointment to get a root canal and apparently they did testing and more scans which he had already had his x-rays from the dentist who referred him . They never did the root canal told him that he needed the tooth pulled and did not pull the tooth as well. He paid $ 300 while he was there even though he has dental insurance and then they sent a bill for another $180 saying it's for some scan that's not covered which they did not inform him When he was there . when he called to speak to them they said basically too bad you have to pay it your insurance doesn't cover it and he said well you should've told me the time it wasn't covered and they said they didn't know that which of course they do because this is what they do , they know what is it's covered and what is not covered they before you even go in . That is extremely unprofessional office and if there is gonna be extra charges they should tell you ahead of time it and he still paid $300 he basically went there and they did absolutely nothing so he got no root canal no tooth pulled basically just they said they did all this testing you don't need to do testing . I worked in a dentist office you don't need to do five test to come to a conclusion to pull the tooth. He had his X-rays from the dentist who referred him. he left his insurance paid half so $500 out of our pocket and $500 from the insurance and he left with nothing done. Literally just took his money from him for nothing and he had insurance so it's just a total scam. So are all these 5 star reviews

Amazing experience as far as a root canal goes. top notch care and compassion. Steady handed and gentle. Front desk was awesome and thorough. Even the dental assistant was really nice!!! Definitely recommend this practice for anything root canal.

After seeing 5 dentists in 2 months, flying to other cities to try to get answers, Dr Buck's waitlist was long and I waited in pain for 6 weeks to get some answers from him. It's a 90 minute drive for me to get to him but he exceeded all my expectations. His manner, skill, attentiveness, technical intellect and taking my comments seriously were invaluable to me. He even adjusted his schedule to fit me in during a challenging time for him to ensure I could get relief. I had a RCT Re-treatment with him after 3 years of symptoms from an RCT in 2019 and I am so grateful. The issue is he is very good and therefore he is sought-after and it's competitive to access care. The wait times are worth it if you can wait but *if* I was in an emergency level of pain and was told to wait 6 weeks I would not be able to do it. I value Dr Buck's work very highly and feel more comfortable knowing he exists and could help me if I have a bad endo situation again. Thank you so very much, and I really deeply appreciate this effort with me.

One of the best dentists oral surgeons I have ever come in contact with the staff is wonderful. Jared Buck is phenomenal I can't speak highly enough about this office. Just the whole experience was wonderful

What a pleasant surprise to be treated with concern and genuine compassion, very rare these days. Everything was explained in detail and the procedure didn't take long with minimum discomfort most of which was just stress related from being at the dentist (the noise canceling music headphones were wonderful) I definitely recommend Dr. Buck if you are in need if a root canal, besides being the only dentist to offer this state of the art procedure he actually returned my phone call...himself!

I was really nervous about driving 3 hours to see a root canal specialist but it turned out to be the best decision I have made in a long time and I am so relieved that I made the trip to Dr. Buck's office. The noise cancelling headphones with music was my favorite perk because it calmed me down and made me feel like I was being well taken care of by professionals that didn't need my input at all. The staff is exceptional and kind, without patronizing me. I have had some terrible experiences with other dentists recently but this experience was refreshingly positive, I highly recommend Dr. Buck and his staff.

I've never had a root canal go so well or be so painless as the one that Dr. Jared Buck and his dental assistant performed. They were careful, patient, and gentle. I even got to listen to my choice of music (I chose relaxing, semi-classical music but could have chosen any genre or artist!) as I sat in the chair waiting for the numbing to take effect. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. I hope I don't need another root canal down the road, but if I do I won't hesitate to call Modern Endodontics. Thank you for an awesome job, everyone--especially Dr. Buck.

Dr. Buck is AMAZING! Who in their right mind has a root canal and walks out smiling?!? Well, that is exactly what happened to me. Dr. Buck is gentle and explains EVERYTHING very clearly before any procedures are done. He uses the latest technology and techniques in his procedure, and he even utilizes noise-cancelling headphones where patients listen to music THEY choose (thus blocking out some of the noise that make people really nervous in a dental office). Going to Dr. Buck is a win-win on all fronts! He will tell you that he focuses on patient comfort in treating root canal issues, and that is an ACCURATE statement. HE REALLY DOES! The office staff and dental assistants? They were all awesome, especially the Receptionist Elise (sp). Her professional demeanor is unbelievable. She is in charge of scheduling appointments as well as explaining fees. She is meticulous and carefully explains every detail, from what insurance is covering and how much your cost will be BEFORE anything is done.

Excellent treatment with the most "Modern" technology. Dr. Buck is professional & compassionate. I would highly recommend him. He took the time to explain everything, worked fast and painlessly. The headphones to drown out the drilling noises was fabulous too. The staff is friendly and efficient also. I'm not afraid of root canals anymore!

I have to start by saying I avoid the dentist till I can't. That attitude led me to have to see Dr. Buck for a root canal. I was extremely nervous when my primary dentist referred me. I was thoroughly impressed with the entire process from scheduling, check in, and the procedure. The office and all the employees are kind and caring. Everything was explained and all questions answered. Dr. Buck was great and made sure I was comfortable before starting. I didn't feel a thing and will always choose this office for future procedures. Thank you Dr. Buck and your staff for a great experience.

I had a root canal today and I really haven't had much dental work done before. I was having lots of anxiety about the procedure and how awful it was going to be. I did a lot of googling and that also did not help... To my surprise, I had the best experience I could have asked for in this situation. I was pleasantly surprised! Dr. Buck uses state of the art equipment and his number one concern was my comfort and making sure I had absolutely No pain. Great experience! Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Buck is proof of angels living here on earth. He saved my Husband from the most horrific pain I have ever seen a human endure. Modern Endo was able to get him in on short notice, diagnosis and treat my husband with a fast and effective root canal that saved his life. Dr. Buck and his staff are amazing. Dr. Buck explained the entire root canal process prior to performing the work and was very caring during the procedure. His staff is not only the friendliest staff around, they take the time to fully explain the breakdown of the work that was done and the entire billing process. Amazingly awesome. Dr. Buck got bonus points for being a fly fisherman.
