Clintis a dentist passionate about guiding his patients towards a lifetime of oral health. Clint trained at the prestigious University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry, Foundations in Advanced Continuing Education (F.A.C.E), Spear Education and at the Veterans Affairs Mare Island general practice residency. He is devoted to practicing evidence-based and minimally invasive dentistry, and utilizing the talented specialists in the Bay Area to optimize clinical results for the patient.
Clint received his B.S. in Biology at UCLA and his D.D.S. at the University of the Pacific. Following his residency at the VA Mare Island GPR, he continued the legacy practices of Drs. Shinbori and Fong after their retirements. He holds membership in the San Francisco Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, F.A.C.E Gnathology Study Club, Spear Study Club and fellowship at International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In the past, he has served as faculty at the UOP School of Dentistry, board member of SFDS, and volunteer dentist at the Berkeley Free Clinic.
As a native San Franciscan (NLF, Clarendon, Stuart Hall, SHCP), he lovesstayinginvolvedwith the local community. Attending local festivals with his wife and two young children are what he enjoys most.

I highly recommend Japantown Dental. Today I had my 6 month Teeth Cleaning and it was done very professionally, quickly and very well as it's been done in my past visits. Nikki the Dental Hygienist knows her stuff and very knowledgeable, she's great. Because of my poor health, Jen S. the office coordinator helped me with the Chairlift up to the dental office level. Both Nikki and Jen were both very professional and friendly. 5 Star Dental Office, I highly recommend it

These are good people! Very modern and current equipment and practices in a really nice, well maintained vintage office space. Great location in Japantown so you can run some errands or get gifts or lunch after your visit. Highly recommend this team.

Japantown Dental is a fantastic office! Just had my teeth cleaned with new technology by Gilbert. It was quick, easy and I learned so much today about caring for my teeth:) thank you Gilbert!

The staff is always very friendly and I was in the chair at the appointed time. The hygienist is using a new procedure which is essentially a power washing of my teeth using erythritol instead of the constant scraping of the enamel. The new process was painless and quick. Loved it! Highly recommend this dental practice.

Everyone at this office is super nice. However, Nikki is who I make sure to see for each teeth cleaning appointment. Nikki consistently makes my teeth look and feel great. I always look forward to my dental visits!

I LOVE THIS OFFICE! I have had a not so great track record with past dentists. I felt like I never got great explanations and that procedures were in some ways forced on me. Dr. Taura and his wonderful staff have really changed my perception of going to the dentist. They have been not only friendly and courteous, but also respectful of the potential stresses that procedures may cause and allow room, provide information, and options for these decisions. I legitimately look forward to my appointments and find myself not trying to make excuses not to go in LOL! This office is out of my network for insurance but I prefer to see them as their value is unmatched! Great dentist, great staff, wonderful experience!!

I just had a teeth cleaning and X-rays and it was very professional done, it went very smoothly and quickly, the staff is friendly but most importantly very professional. I highly recommend Dr Clint K Taura Dental office if you live in San Francisco area. I trust Dr. Taura with all my dental care knowing he will make the right choices that fits my needs. I am going on 80 years old and in poor health and the staff was very helpful, starting with Jen S. (Office coordinator) who helped me with the Chairlift up to the office level. and than Aisha who did the X-rays very quickly & professionally and Nikki who cleaned my teeth and applied Fluoride to a few potential problem areas. and most importantly Dr Taura who is in charge of this wonderful staff and office. I highly recommend Dr Clint K Taura Dental office. 5 Star experience

Been seeing Dr. Taura since he first opened his practice, and Dr . Fong for 25 years previously. have always been very happy with the care and am particularly thankful for the regular cleaning and helpful advise from my Hygienist , Nickie.
