Dr. Laine is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Through these organizations, she learns from leading practitioners and researchers in oral health care. She attends meetings, lectures, and seminars, and studies peer-reviewed dental journals.
Being a dentist is more than fixing teeth. For me, its an opportunity to connect with others, forge relationships, and help each person become happier and healthier. Its a pleasure to be caring for smiles in Fresno: I love seeing familiar faces in our reception area.
Dentistry is about improving lives. Whether Im restoring function, relieving pain, or making a smile even more beautiful, I am helping someone. Its essential thatpeople know I am here to serve and support them to achieve their oral health goals.
I believe in caring for each patient as an individual:respectful of their clinical and personal needs. I will never dictate a particular treatment or recommend care that the person doesnt want or need. Instead, I learn what the person desires and listen to their concerns. Together, we talk about treatment options and decide on an approach that works for their situation.
Dr. Laine Janzen is dedicated to lifelong learning and to providing the most up-to-date, reliable treatments for her patients. She takes many continuing dental education courses, to ensureshes current on new technologies, materials, and techniques.
After growing up in Clovis, Dr. Laine lived in Oakland while completing her undergraduate studies. She moved to Pomona, where she completed her dental training. After ten years of living away, she returnedto her hometown and is happy to be back in the community again.
While in dental school, Dr. Laine served as a trustee for the American Student Dental Association. She is passionate about dentistry and working with students and future dentists. Additionally, Dr. Janzen is a volunteer provider at annual community events through the CDA Cares Volunteer Dental Program.
Dr. Scott Janzen is proud to have practiced dentistry in Fresno for nearly 30 years. He grew up here, and graduatedfrom Roosevelt High beforeattending Fresno Pacific University. His undergraduate degree was awarded by UC Berkeley and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery is from the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Scott is committed to providing high-quality dental care at affordable prices. He works closely with each patient to determine the best approach to their situation, and thoroughly explains treatment options.
Most important, Dr. Scott values the relationships he develops with his patients. Hes been caring for many of them since 1988, when the practice opened, and is honored now to be caring for the smiles of the children and grandchildren of many of his first patients.

I love talking with and getting to know our patients on a personal level. Its a great feeling to help people I care about develop healthy, happy smiles. I started in the dental field in 2000 and joined Janzen Dental in 2014. We have an amazing practice, where everyone wants our patients to enjoy their visits. I clean teeth, take X-rays, assist the doctors with exams, and answer patient questions, too.
I feel blessed to have a full, happy life. Im recently married and have twochildren, James and Britney, and their wonderful spouses, Ashley and Frank, in my life. I am active in my church and also enjoy time in the mountains, along with reading and being with loved ones.
I love helping ourpatient achieve theirstrongest oral health and a clean, bright smile they love. I graduated from Fresno City College in 1998 and joined Janzen Dental in 2000. We have an amazing team and doctors who really care about our patients well-being. I take X-rays, scale and clean teeth, and encourage patients to care about their dental health.
We serve great people. I love helping our community develop and keep healthy smiles and building friendships in the process. Ive worked in the dental field since 1991 and became part of the Janzen Dental practice in 2010. Ours is a friendly, supportive office where we form lasting relationships with patients. My days are spent cleaning teeth, providing periodontal maintenance, and educating patients about good home oral hygiene care.
I love touching a patients life in a positive way. Not many people truly love going to the dentist, and I enjoy helping people overcome their fears byshowing that todays dentistry is gentle. After starting in the field in 1997, I joined Janzen Dental in 2015 and immediately felt at home. I handle office and laboratory work. I also offer patient care, assist the doctors with a variety of dental procedures, and support and educate our patients.
My time off is spent with my family. Im married and have an adult sonwhos in the Army, and a younger daughter whos active in school and Girl Scouts. We enjoy quiet family weekends and traveling, camping, and hiking.
I enjoy caring for our patients:connecting with them on a personal level, and making sure each leaves the office happier and healthier. My dental career started in 2011here at Janzen Dental. I cant imagine a more positive, encouraging, and smile-filled office. I sterilize the treatment tools and equipment, provide chairside assistance to the doctors, and educate and support patients. I also order and stock our back-office supplies.
I enjoy working closely with patients to ensure they have positive, stress-free visits to Janzen Dental. Ive been part of the team since 2000 and immediately knew Id found the perfect dental office, where we help people smile! I handle scheduling, answer the phones, and coordinate everything so we run efficiently and ontime.
Outside of work, I love music, cooking, live theater, and time with friends and family. Im a proud single mom of two sons, Kevin and Darrell, and grandmother to two awesome grandsons, Christian and Adrian.
I look forward to coming to work becausemy days are filled with conversations with our great patients. I enjoy sharing in stories of their family andtravel, and listening and supporting them if theyre stressed. Many years ago, I graduated from dental assisting training. I became part of Janzen Dental in 1996 and know that ours is the gentlest, most supportive office. Working in the front office, I handle accounting, correspondence, and insurance billing. I also answer the phone and schedule visits.
My husband Tim and I have been married for almost 50 years. We have three wonderful children and their equally wonderful spouses whove blessed us with ten beautiful grandchildren. Since Tim and I are emptynesters, we have three entertaining small dogs. In my free time, I love being with my family, vacationing onthe Central Coast, and reading.

I have always had a wonderful experience at Janzen Dental. I never have to wait, and everyone is so kind. I have typically seen Scott who is always gentle and upbeat. This time I saw Laine, who is similarly upbeat, and explained everything with professionalism and care. I had a lot of tooth pain, and she figured out the problem and addressed it quickly. It was such a relief! I love supporting small family businesses, and Janzen Dental is so worthy of praise and support.

Absolutely the best dentist in town, he has been our family dentist for years and I would never look for another dentist. He is both kind and gentle which are great attributes for a dentist . We adore both Dr. Scott and Dr Lani and their tremendous staff. VM

I contacted Janzen Dental this morning following up on a referral for my child. I had just reached out to the other office, which had not received the referral from Janzen Dental. I spoke with Carol, the moment she picked up the phone she was instantly very rude, and condescending. She said the fax was a success on their end, but she would send it again. I informed her I was the parent calling because the other office stated they had not received anything. I also brought it to her attention that she was being very rude, and it was not necessary. Instead of apologizing she said, I thought I was speaking to the other office, not the parent. Which is still not acceptable. I called back to speak to the office manager and Sue answered, she informed me that there is not an office manager. She laughed it off and said, "Carol thought she was talking to the other office, not the parent, she's a little frustrated since she has been trying to fax this over to them". I told Sue that is still not an excuse, I informed her this was not the first encounter I've had with Carol being rude. She responded with, "That's very unusual, out of all the the staff here, she's always so nice". She was very bothered with my complaints about Carol. I was told my concerns would be passed along to the doctor, but I highly doubt it.

Literally the best dentist office I've ever been too. I've come here several times for a variety of services from routine cleanings to extractions and veneers! I'm very satisfied with the care I received here. ALL the staff are amazing. I always felt comfortable and heard every visit. I was self pay and all services are reasonably priced. Highly recommend this office.

Amazing quality of Doctors and Staff. With times right now of unknown. We can feel secure that Dr. Scott Janzen and all of his Staff are supporting us with on going good health. My 10yr. old niece fell and cracked her front tooth and badly bruised the soft tissue of the gums. Dr. Janzen's office answered the phone and walked us through getting her calmed and comfortable. They made time for her the very next morning! Providing her with the health care she needed. She is feeling so much better and wanted everyone to know that these people are special, and that we are so thankful for their constant care. Thank you again Sincerely Emilia and the Adanalian family and Rodriguez family.

I've been going to Doctor Janzen for nearly a decade and I have to say he, his daughter (Laine) who recently joined the practice and the whole staff are phenomenal! I realized I have not reviewed their office, and after today's visit (pleasant as always) I felt I owe them this. Thank you all for your kindness, caring, professionalism, and warm atmosphere you all create! If you are looking for a dentist/dental office look no further!

They provided excellent care for my brother and mom when they were with us and now that they're gone, they continue to care for my father excellently. And his cousin's office was very patient with me many years ago when I was going through financial difficulties after my divorce.

I absolutely love Dr. Laine - she transformed my smile to one that belongs in Hollywood. I now have confidence smiling and laughing, it's a gift that is truly priceless to me. I also love that it's a family practice, Dr. Scott Janzen is so kind and gentle, it never feels like being a dentist office when I am there in either doctor's seats. I absolutely love this family practice and the Dr. Janzens!

I went to get my wisdom teeth removed today and everything went smoothly. She got them out painlessly and made sure I was completely numb before she proceeded. I love this office and the staff. Always super nice and welcoming.

I have always had a fear of going to the dentist, I was nervous before getting some fillings from Dr. Scott Jansen, but it was such a piece of cake with him! I arrived for my appointment 10 mins early, they called me to the back right away, and the whole time I was in the chair, I felt nothing! It seemed as though it took him 10-15 minutes to do the fillings, although I know it was about 35 minutes, it just went so smoothly! I can't thank him enough for being so kind compassionate, caring and above all Competent!!! He's seriously AWESOME! I'm very happy I chose Dr. Jansen out of the long list of dentists my insurance company sent me!! His staff are all so friendly and sweet as well!! With the exception of one lady in the front office, she's rude and unfriendly

Dr Janzen is an amazing Dentist. I went through many dentist offices before I finally found the perfect one. They are very efficient with time there, super courteous and always friendly. Dr Janzen is extremely friendly and concerned about his patients. I always feel very well taken care of there and never have a bad experience. I used to dread dentist visits until I went here and now it is a pleasurable experience. I highly recommend him to anyone who will listen. He is by far the best dentist I have ever had.
