'I treasure the relationships that develop between our patients and myself. I came to Olympia 18 years ago to practice dentistry and many of the first patients are still with me. I appreciate the privilege of seeing their children grow and their parents age. Our office has flourished mostly by virtue of seeing the friends and co-workers of current patients, who then bring in another few, and so on. We focus on fostering and encouraging the conditions for each patient 'slifelong oral health.

'When a patient tries on their new smile for the first time itis often a magical moment. I 've seen people 's personalities open up and their self-assurance soar from surprisingly easy dental changes. I often get to help people from a functional point, allowing them the ability to chew properly and to enjoy eating for the first time in ages. It tickles us to watch teenagers and grandmas come out of their shell and blossom with the confidence of their new and gorgeous smile. Tears of joy are not uncommon around here! These are the things that make all of the hard work worthwhile.'

Dr. Janssen graduated with high academic honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1995 and joined the trauma residency programat Minneapolis' level One trauma Hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center. A year later she purchased her current practice, which has grown significantly since 1997. Ingrid keeps current in dentistry at study groups in both Seattle and Tacoma where special cases are presented, and illustrious practitioners pontificate proudly. She absolutely loves delving into intricate and complex cases, and discovering innovative treatment options through the study clubs and clinicsshe attends.

Ingrid grew up near Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio with her three siblings. Their parents are devoted first generation Americans. She attended Miami University of Ohio and received her science degree in Zoology, with a minor in Psychology. Ingrid followed her brother toWashington in1984, working for Seafirst Bank and the Kingdome as well as volunteering in a U-district dental office and at the Seattle Crisis Clinic.

Ingrid's greatest joy is her family life. Along with Ken, her husband of 20 years, she manages to keep the children (now teenagers) Taeus and Sophia out of mischief. They often have an exchange student or two during the school year and appreciate the continuing international relationships that ensue. There are always lots of pets around the house, though Ingrid and Sophia's love, 'Lola' the Arabian mare, lives at a nearby stable.

Dr. Janssen enjoys adding to her multi-species tooth collection that you'll see at our office. Mushroom hunting in the fall and digging for razor clams at the beach are favorites, as well as organic gardening, singing, oil painting, and most any art or craft you can imagine. Perhaps Ingrid is most happy when she can indulge her passion for travel, whether to a nearby city or mountain wilderness, or a far away cultural experience. Regardless of which pursuit, you can be sure she will be 'busy'!

I'm the newest team member at Janssen Dental, but not new to the field of Dentistry! I have ween working in a variety of dental specialty practices as well as the UW School of Dentistry since 1998.I enjoy my position as scheduling coordinator because ofthe terrific interaction with our patients. I strive to help make their visit to the dentist more enjoyable.I've found that the staff at Dr. Janssen's office works really well together and love the focus on great care for each and every patient.

I've beenworking in the field of dentistry since 1990, after graduating from Bates Technical College in 1990, and joined the team at Janssen Dental in 2011. Although I startedout as a chairside Assistant, I quickly found alifetime career on the administrative side of the dental practice.My good clinical knowledge of dentistry coupled with many years of insurance and financial experience, allow me to assist you with your insurance and financial concerns .

With my daughter now grown and out of the house Ienjoy cooking, travelling, wine tastings, and working on home improvement projects. I also enjoy creative pursuits such as beading and often find myself going to concerts and sporting events - especially Tacoma Rainiers games.

My dental career began in 1989after I earnedmy associate degree in dentalhygiene from Pierce College in Steilacoom.I began working at Janssen Dental in 2001, and nowenjoy working one on one with patients to help them achieve good oral health.I also value the opportunity to educate our patients about how their teeth are a part of their whole body, and are essential for good overall health.

It is wonderful to work alongside the rest of the staff to create an environment that our patients can enjoy and feel comfortable in.We are all quality-oriented people who have the same goal of providing patients with the best care available.We laugh often, are compassionate, and make a difference in others lives.

After moving from Tacoma to Olympia, I married my husband Greg in 1990.We have two dogs, Dax and Dally.Greg and I arevolunteers in a Bible education program with The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.My favorite hobby is cooking, an art I learned from my Mom thatalways brings a smile to my face!

I graduatedfrom Timberline High School in 1986.I completed the course in dental hygiene at Pierce College in Steilacoom and began my career in dental care in 1989.I really enjoy working with people, getting to know them, and having the opportunity to improve their oral health.As I care for our patients, I ask about their lifestyle and habits.This not only forms a bond between us, but allows me to identify areas where they can make positive changes to improve their oral health.I perform preventive and maintenance oral therapy, administer anesthetics, and teach oral hygiene education to each patient in my care.

I began my career in Dentistry as a dental assistant, graduating from South Puget Sound Community College in 1996. After working as a dental assistant for several years, I knew my passion was to be a Dental Hygienist. I attended Yakima Valley Community College and graduated in 2003. I began working right away and continued my schooling in the evening, receiving my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2005.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have two wonderful children - a daughter and a son, who we love to take to the beach in the summertime. We also spend time with extended family in Union and Centralia, WA and enjoy visiting the local Farmers Market.

My career in dentistry began in 1990 while living in Alaska. I joined the Janssen Dental team in 2020. It is thrilling to have found an office that is just as professional and detail oriented as I like to be. Making people smile is my favorite part of this work. Being efficient and organized as an employee and coworker, and empathetic with our patients - that's what I strive for every day. It is wonderful to be part of a work family that feels the same way, where we all strive together to ensure that each and every patient feels listened to and cared for.

I first became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2002 and joined Janssen Dental in 2020. It is so important to me that we help our patients feel healthy and good about themselves. I absolutely love helping Doctor Janssen restore not just teeth, but the overall health and well-being in our patients. Everyone here at Janssen Dental is so kind, helpful, and approachable, with great communication and teamwork. I am so thankful to be part of this amazing team!

My husband Buddy and I recently celebrated our Silver Anniversary! We are the parents of JW, and his sister Cassandra, both in their early 20's. We have been blessed with our first granddaughter Hailee, born in 2017. We love to go camping, boating, fishing, traveling really just anything outdoors. Spending lots oftime with family and having a good time is what we enjoy the most!
