I'm sure they are great dentist. They get a 2 star for being polite and listening well because I tend to go on and on. However I called about a nighttime bite guard and was quoted 148 or 149 or something relatively close to that. Was informed I'd have to have a 70 dollar office visit. Ok no biggie still we'll under the 700 dollars my last one cost and being that they don't take my dental insurance, delta dental, go figure, totally worth it in my eyes. Now my previous dentist was supposed to email them my previous X-rays from within the past year so not getting them, not their fault, but I had been under the impression they would let me know if they didn't receive them. They did not. I brought my ooooooold bite guard with me so they could see the amount of grinding I do. It's brutal. Upon being seated my hygienist informs me that there are actual three different bite guards. Now the first 2 I looked at instantly knew they'd be dead in a month, most likely sooner. The 3rd one the one most like my previous one, is going to cost over $600. Then to add insult to injury, they charge me $70. No mouth guard, less then one minute peaking into my mouth. Overall less then impressed. Hopefully if you do go there your lucks better then mine. Had I known up front they had 3 and it was going to be over 600 dollars I'd still be $70 richer and not have wasted my time there or on here unhappily.

A bill under 40$ turned into me having to pay next 3 visits out of pocket to reestablish good credit when I told the lady I had just lost my father a MONTH ago and was playing catch up on a lot of stuff. Absolutely no compassion and something they've worked with me before with much higher bill and no issues. I can't afford next 3 visits x3 kids out of pocket. That seriously defeats purpose of insurance. Also they canceled an appointment and failed to notify me. Seriously sickens me to know this is how this is ending...thanks for really dampening my spirits today.

UPDATE TO THE REVIEW BELOW. The Dr. noticed my review and contacted me, I appreciated the concern and effort. A resolution was offered by the doctor that was satisfactory to me. I have altered my star rating to reflect the update. Used to go regularly, but got to the point that it was rediculous to continue. Appointment times were always 30-60 minutes late. Twice a year cleanings could only be scheduled every 8 months, even though they had no Friday hours. It was made obvious that they simply didnt have time for me. Flash forward 8 years or so to now. Needed new partial dentures. Wife convinced me to go back to Jansen for evaluation. Did so, and they accomplished an explorative hands on review complete with a final cost price for the effort. We got started and I paid in full at each of the first 6 visits which completed the schedule billing required by Jansen Family Dentistry. I went home and totaled up the final amount that I had paid only to find that it was $778 more than the originally agreed upon amount. Have taken the issue up 3 times with them now I was told that $150 was due to a periodic maintenance that was thrown in, and $350 was due to human "error." The other $278 remains a mystery to all as no explanation was provided. Bottom line, I paid $778 beyond the agreed upon amount and Jansen Family is dug in saying basically, yes you did. Not even a thank you for the extra cash... Its a shame, they could have an decent business there if they would run it honostly.

My wife has been a patient of Jansen Family Dentistry for decades, and I have been a patient for nearly ten years. Dr. Doug and the team here are fantastic. They are always polite and professional. Their patient care is top notch, and when recommending treatment, Dr. Doug has always been a straight shooter. If he does not think something will work, he won't recommend it. They are out of network for our insurance, so that can provide some upfront cost to patients (our insurer mails us a check that we can sign over to the office, cash ourselves and pay them, or pay at the time services are rendered and keep the insurance reimbursement [typically what we do] .

Best dental care ever i love the staff i loved the environment the care its all so lovely makes me actually want to go there. I hate dentists but i have no problem here.

When you want the best care, best staff & best appearance of your smile, then Jansen Family Dentistry is where you need to go! I saw Dr. Jim 33 years ago for the first time. He did my first dentures, which lasted a very long time. My kids have gone there, for their care since the were toddlers, seeing both Jim & Doug. Dr. Doug is currently handling my care, getting new dentures. Talk about being thorough!! WOW! He is making them so they match my old ones, that look like natural, real teeth! Not some fake, horse teeth set like you get at a chain dental business & at half the cost of the chains too. A set that fits perfect & look Fantastic!!! Im not being paid to say this.. Im a real person, concerned about my appearance & wanted the best! Kudo's to everyone at the office for a wonderful experience! The place is warm & cozy feeling, team members are friendly & fun and bring a smile, literally to your face, in several ways!! Dr. Janaya is now part of the team & Dr. Doug's son Jack is following that path too !! As long as Im alive, I will be going there & I drive an hour to get there!! I recommend these fine people to everyone!!! You will not be dissappointed.
