Welcome to our practice! I was born in Arlington VA, but grew up in Fairfax VA, for most of my life. Coming from a very close knit family, I assisted my mother, who is also a dentist, throughout my high school and most of my college years. That experience inspired me to follow in her footsteps and pursue dentistry myself. In 2007, I received my Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. GO STEELERS!
After completing dental school, I returned back to Virginia and have been practicing ever since. Over the years, I've found much joy in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. My philosophy and approach is to incorporate the latest use of technologies and using multi-disciplinary treatments, specifically customized for each smile. Most importantly, its a pleasure being a part of delivering a beautiful smile to our patients.
My wife and I have four beautiful kids together, and one of them being our French bulldog and Boston terrier mix. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, cooking, snowboarding, and trying out new places to eat in our local community.
We are believe that what sets us apart is how we treat and care for our patients. When you become our patient you will never be rushed or forced into a treatment that you are not comfortable with. We take pride in listening to your needs and spend the necessary time with you to make sure you are well cared for and feel relaxed andcomfortable. We are a boutique practice and we are committed to providing you a high level of attention and with nothing less than 5-star service.
While we are serious about our work, we are never too serious to not have fun! We like to joke with each other and our patients to create a light and happy mood at the office. Our goal is for you to always leave our Fairfax office with a smile!

I was born in Korea and moved to Jamaica with my family when I was ten. I lived in Delaware until I was 22 and went to theUniversity of Delawarefor my undergraduate education. My father, a physician, encouraged me to go into dentistry, and Im very glad I listened to his advice.
I worked as an associate dentist for five years and opened my own office in 1993. Our goal is to make patients feel at home and well-taken-care of. Along with my team, we welcome patients of all ages and with all dental needs.
While my focus remains in cosmetic dentistry, I have taken many continuing education courses to keep abreast of all the latest cutting-edge technologies and procedures. I completed a four-year continuing education course in orthodontics and Invisalign to offer my patients a full range of comprehensive options to improve their bite and their smile. I continually strive to utilize the most modern techniques to offer my patients superior care.
As a new patient undergoing severe pain and stress, I was in no position to enjoy this trip to the dentist. I had neglected my teeth for years like too many of us do. However, Dr. Song and her team created an experience unlike ANY other doctor visit I've had. Their attention to my needs and willingness to go the extra mile to fix my problems was clear. I felt cared for like a long-time patient, despite being newly admitted. I will be going to Dr. Song for regular cleaning and all dental work as long as I am in Northern Virginia. Thanks again, Doc.
Im Dr. Songs right hand gal. My duties are assisting Dr. Song, ensuring that each operatory is set up properly, entering the dental supply order, and making sure back office runs smoothly through the day. This is the first dental practice Ive worked at, and since Ive been here since 2006, I feel like Ive found my second home! Our team is amazing and acts like a family, both in and out of the office.

Dr. Song is the best!! Amazing doctor/dentist! I've been going to her clinic for years and she does great work every time. Her dental assistant, Gisela is great too! Highly recommend! I have LOTS of anxiety about going to the dentist but Dr. Janet K. Song, Dr. Vu Tran, the dental assistants and the office manager were amazing. By far the best dental experience I've ever had!

Dr.Song goes above and beyond to make sure your mouth is healthy! She cares about her patients and her work is her passion. Her whole team is compassionate, kind, understanding and provides quality dental care. If you have anxiety at the dentist, she is an amazing dentist for you! She explains everything, gives you practical everyday advice on how to take better care of your teeth to avoid needing dental work and she puts you at ease with her sense of humor and kind disposition. I hadn't been to the dentist in a while and knew I needed a cleaning and some fillings done. Dr. Song and her team cleaned up my smile in just three easy visits. I had some X-rays taken, new fillings done, old fillings redone, and a deep gum cleaning. I felt taken care of at each visit and can honestly say this was the best experience I've had with a dentist (and I've always been afraid but not anymore!) Dr. Song and her staff are professional, kind, and do a great job of explaining the treatments you need. Great dentist!

I went to see this dentist due to the raving Google reviews. I took the first appointment available since there were a few dental issues and concerns I had been having for a while and took time off from work to see her for an annual check up. The hygienist did a good and thorough job. Then came Dr. Song. She was in a big hurry and rushed going through my mouth, dictating to her assistant this tooth needs a filling, that one a crown, etc., giving out a long list of not so insignificant dental work. She wasn't really speaking with me or giving an explanation, just going through the teeth numbers and what had to be done as if I weren't there as the patient. I told her I had a few concerns I wanted to point out about my teeth and questions about what she said to her assistant I needed. She said she is in a hurry and I would have to come back. I went there to get information about my dental issues, and she tells me she can't talk to me about my dental issues! She was in the room I was in (can't bring myself to say "she was with me") for maybe 5 minutes and left - and that is for a first time visit a new patient! Needless to say, I would never go back. She needs to treat her patients first as individuals. I wasn't treated that way; she wouldn't spend a few minutes talking to me about the dental work she was prescribing and about my dental health questions, what else can I say?

My husband had a potential wisdom tooth issue and Dr. Song went above and beyond to make sure he was seen quickly. She called me back instantly, even though it was a weekend, to make an appointment. And then she came out in a snowstorm!! Not only is she incredibly dedicated to her patients, but she has an awesome sense of humor and ability to make one feel completely at ease.
