Jane Yang Dental, P.C. - General dentist in Brooklyn, NY

Dr Kenneth Ho was born in Manhattan, and raised in Staten Island. The son of hard working, Chinese immigrants, Kenneth studied intensely as a child to achieve a high score on his first and only Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT). His score allowed him to choose among Stuyvesant HS, Brooklyn Tech, and Bronx HS of Science. After attending Stuyvesant High School for 4 years, he went to college.

In college, he majored in Biology and had several minors. His minors include Speech Communications and Theatre Arts, Psychology, and Chemistry. While in college, he tutored others in mathematics and english as a second language. He was also Vice President of the Chinese Club and Co-President of the Computer Club. To help manage the costs of college, Kenneth worked as a computer consultant, assisting and guiding other students (and some professors) in how to fully and properly use computers.

While in college, Kenneth took the Dental School Admissions Test (DAT) once. After scoring in the top 8% of the country on the DAT, he applied for and was admitted into Stonybrook University School of Dental Medicine on his first attempt. Midway through dental school, Kenneth embarked on a very ambitious plan. He wanted to be a teacheranda dentist. In January 2002, he applied to become a part time teacher with Princeton Review (PR). Princeton Review is a nationwide organization that educates students of all ages, primarily teenagers who study to enter the best colleges possible.

After scoring well on the PR placement exam and making the final cut to become a teacher, Kenneth Ho began teaching PR SAT classes. Parents and students who attended his classes remarked that he was a good teacher who could communicate new lessons and techniques in an effective, memorable manner. After receiving positive feedback from students, PR asked him to also become a personal, one-on-one SAT (college entrance examination) tutor. To this day, Dr Ho still remains active with Princeton Review. He is a dentist during the day, and a teacher to high school students at night. As of 2015, Dr Ho has been tutoring and teaching other students for almost 13 years.

Kenneth Ho graduated from Stonybrook Dental School in May of 2004 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He applied, was accepted, and graduated from Brookdale Hospital Dental Residency Program. In this residency program, Dr Ho extracted many difficult wisdom teeth, making him one of the best overall extraction dentists on staff capable of minor surgery. Some patients remarked that they didn't feel much pain when he pulled out their teeth.

While Dr Ho is proficient in gently removing teeth, he is also very good with children. Many young patients who have not seen a dentist before are scared when they enter a dental office. Dr Ho recognizes this fear, spends time trying to comfort the child, and strives to be as considerate and gentle as possible when caring for his patients.

A fluent English speaker, Dr Ho hopes that you will consider our dental office for all of your dental needs. If you ever have any questions about anything at all, Dr Kenneth Ho can be reached directly via his email address ofkenho02@aol.comHe can also be found on facebook under the user idkenho02@aol.com

I've been to many dentists, both in the US and overseas. Multiple root canals, bottom wisdom tooth extraction, fillings etc. I'd say I have a fairly high pain tolerance. We all expect some level of pain at the dentist. I get it. But the dentist will generally stop and check and add more anaesthesia. I went in to get my top wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Kenneth Ho today. Great manners and courteous guy. Gave me the usual local anaesthesia and waited about 3-4 minutes for it to kick in. Didn't tap my tooth to check if it had kicked in (not sure if this is usual procedure but previous dentists have done some sort of check to make sure I'm AT LEAST numb enough). Jumped right into gouging out my right wisdom tooth. I felt immense pain, clearly anaesthesia hadn't kicked in yet. I'm yelling "ow ow ow! It hurts!!". He gives me a bit more anaesthesia but doesn't wait more than 20 seconds before he jumps back in to gouging it out, all the while I'm yelling in pain. I'm in shock at this point but he proceeds to do the exact same to my left wisdom tooth. Didn't check if I needed a break. Again I'm yelling in pain but yes the tooth is gouged out very quickly. I'm assuming his technique is to be quick so that the patient doesn't realise it. That's fine. But not if the patient is in immense pain and being vocal about it. It really felt like the anaesthesia hadn't been applied properly and as a matter of fact right now only my bottom jaw feels numb, when it should've been my top. So imagine having a tooth gouged out without anaesthesia. Literal horror story plot. He's obviously in a rush because he zooms out of the room while I'm still in shock and starting to cry. Oh yeah there wasn't an assistant during the procedure, the only time was when the dentist asked for her to bring a tooth extractor. I'm sat there crying and trying to get it together before I make my way out to the waiting area where my husband is. My Husband starts questioning where the dentist is and asking the assistants exactly what happened as I'm crying and sat in the waiting area because my legs are jelly from shock. Turns out Dr Kenneth Ho went out to grab lunch. 5 mins later he waltzes in eating a sandwich with crumbs on his face (I'm not even kidding, there was a pretty big crumb on the corner of his mouth) and that's when my husband confronts him. All he says is "I can give her more anaesthesia" and "ok I'm sorry". But he does seem taken aback and clearly oblivious that he just traumatised me for life. No aftercare instructions, gave some more gauze but didn't explain how often to change it. Proceeds to call the next patient in lol. Poor old lady was also about to get her tooth extracted. I hope he was a bit more gentler on her. We get his information and leave and I will be submitting a complaint to all the NY offices of dental OPD, dental board etc. I don't even know what else I can do at this point. Based on their website apparently he's a well experienced wisdom tooth extractor but I highly recommend you see another dentist unless it's on your bucket list to experience having your tooth gouged out without anaesthesia.

Dr.Katie Lim is so not professional. I don't know where her attitude is coming from. acts like I owe her a million dollar. Ignoring patient's reaction to the fact that she is really hard handed and act like she wants to finish with you in a few seconds. She also rushes you to put on your mask with a attitude but hello, of course I will put on mask but at least let me wipe my mouth first!! Why should I put on my mask without wiping my mouth with all water and toothpaste foam around my mouth. And I tried get another tissue, she be looking me like a thief, like I am trying to steal. So not respectful so rude. 0 star to her dental skills. 0 star to her attitude and professionalism. Learn your people skill! If you hate your job you should think about switching career. Not giving patient attitude.

(Translated by Google) Don't go to this place! They will not treat your broken teeth, they will secretly replace the concept to get your teeth!! You don't need to look at the teeth. Lin Yingyu has only one treatment plan for quack, which is to extract the nerve to make braces!! Chai Ping !Yi Sheng Fu Wu Tai Du Chai ! This was the worst experience ever! The young female dentist was rude and unprofessional. I brought my mom here for the first time to clean her teeth. After 15 minutes my mom got in by herself, the assistant told me my mom needed translation. I got in and asked what happened. The dentist told me that my mom needs Periodontitis treatment and asked if she wanted to do a crown treatment. Without knowing any context, of course, I tried to ask more to make the decision, like what is Periodontitis treatment and how severe is that tooth that needed crown treatment. OMG, throughout the whole time, she seemed super impatient and almost ROLLED HER EYES! She didn't want to explain to me -- she answered my questions in a few words, basically didn't answer my questions. My mom and I felt very uncomfortable and disrespected in these few minutes. No patient should be treated by this.

(Translated by Google) I'm really disappointed that I can't get a 0 star. I booked a tooth extraction a week early, and made another call before I left and said I was sure that I could get the tooth. , Call me during the day to say that the tooth is not pulled out? ? The dentist is not there? I said that I can pull on Monday, but I have to wait until Friday again. I really convinced. Everyone, please be careful. I highly recommend Dr. Ho and his staff. The receptionist and assistants were very friendly and efficient. I've been going to Dr. Ho for years and I know I can always trust him with my teeth. Very understanding and always makes sure that my questions and concerns are addressed. He did my root canals and wisdom teeth extraction and they all went great. Also let me tell you, he pulled out my wisdom teeth before I even realized!! He's got the skills!!!

Just got home, very nice people. Had a few laughs before the procedure help to ease me up. Went to pull out wisdom tooth thank god Dr.Ho gave me extra anesthetic other wise the pain could have knocked me out. The doctors knew what I would experience after a little concussion. Felt a little dizzy and he offered to let me stay to rest. Thanks very much the tooth cause me alot of pain from time to time much worse than pulling it out, couldn't even sleep because of it.

If I can give this place zero stars then I will give zero stars. This place was HORRIBLE, it had terrible customer service. The receptionist was really rude. The dentist was 1 hour and 45 minutes late to the appointment, and when she finally came it took another 30 minutes for her to start. My daughter was telling the dentist that it was hurting and she just ignored her and continued to pull her tooth. She got her braces after and we had to come back the next day because the wire was making her cheek bleed. I had to come back the next week because the still didn't fix the wire, in fact it got worst. The lady that worked on my daughters teeth was just a receptionist, her name was Cathy. One of the braces even popped off the tooth. plus they don't even know how to clean the teeth properly, when I left my gums were sore and there was a lot of blood. THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO BAD, I REPEAT SO BAD. They only care about MONEY and not about your teeth. This was the worst experience ever. DON'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT HERE!!!

Dr. Ho removed all three of my wisdom teeth in two separate sessions. It was painless both times and you can tell he was very experienced. Most friendliest and personal doctor I've ever met, he really cares for every patient.

Had a great experience with my dentist Kenneth. I had a broken tooth and he extracted with absolutely no pain at all. I was scared more than ever. After that appointment, I went back 3 weeks later for a thorough cleaning and he insured me that it'll be almost painless. All in all, I am pleased with how Kenneth takes his time to explain every single detail with me before he does anything.
