The entire staff was so nice and professional! They do great with kids! I was especially impressed by the way they took care of my autistic son. We have had stressful dental experiences before but this one couldn't have been more stress free. Even my 3 year old went in crying but came out smiling! Very nice and playful waiting area for the kids too. I highly recommend them for pediatric dentistry!

I had an amazing first visit with Jamestown dental clinic. Everybody there was very polite, very friendly, very professional and yet very personable! They made me feel super comfortable from the first minute I walked into the clinic. Jorene had me checked in instantly, which was great! Marissa did the X-Rays and explained everything to me very thoroughly - she was a sweetheart! Dr. Turella was just amazing! She was super gentle with her exam, very understanding of my dental needs and together we formed a plan of my care starting from the most important things that needed to be addressed. She really took her time to understand me and explain every detail of her assessment to me! I have never had a dentist who was more caring and considerate in their approach than Dr. Turella! I was truly amazed!!! Last but definitely not least, I had a dental cleaning done by Mike. The most fun, enjoyable and THE MOST EDUCATIONAL dental cleaning that I have ever had! If I could give this clinic 10 stars, I would! Update: I had 2 more visits to the clinic for more cleanings and dental work to be done. All of my visits have been as excellent and impressive as the first one! This is the best dental clinic period! I have not encountered a more gentle, caring, yet efficient staff!!! 10+ stars to JFD!!!

The dentists and dental hygienists are wonderful. I would give them 5 stars if I was just reviewing them. Before I made an appointment I called to ask if the dentist accepts my insurance. I was told "yes". Nothing else was said about my insurance so I excitedly booked appointments for myself and my daughter. We went to the appointments and were both impressed by the dentist and staff. My daughter had to have continued work done so once again we made an appointment to come back. During this time we received a large bill in the mail. Our insurance had changed (military insurance) so I assumed that they had billed the wrong insurance company. I called and spoke to the office manager. I told her that our insurance had changed and she said it was no problem and that she would submit the bill to the correct insurance. Nothing else was said about my insurance. I never heard anything else about it so I assumed it was all fixed. We went to my daughters next appointment. When I was leaving the lady at the front desk stopped me and asked if I would be paying the "rather large balance on your account" I was shocked to see that I owed a ton of money. I felt there must be some mistake. I have been a military spouse for over 15 years and have never seen such a huge dentist bill. It was then that the lady at the desk informed me that my insurance is "out of network" and that is why I had such a huge bill. I was so upset! First of all, I would never had made the appointment if I had been told that when I called and literally asked, "do you take MetLife?" Every single time I move I have to find a new dentist and I always ask in this way. Never have I been told yes if they are out of network. Second of all, I certainly wouldn't have come a second time to have major work done for my kid if I had known! I felt deceived! I was told it is my responsibility to check to see if the dentist is in network. I told them, "what do you think was my purpose in calling and asking if you took my insurance?" Their response was that I should have called my insurance first. This whole problem could have been solved by the office staff answering my question honestly. Here, let me give you an example, " Hi do you take MetLife?" "We do take Metlife but we are out of network." "Out of network? I have never heard of that. What does that mean?" " It means that you will pay much more out of pocket than if you went to a network provider." "ok thanks, I will have to look for an in network provider. Have a nice day!" The office staff had several opportunities to tell me the truth and they did not. That day at the office I literally started crying when I heard that I had been seen at the out of network provider. I work very hard to stay on a budget and now I have a bill that I will be paying for the next 12 months at least. I am so disgusted by this.

My children had been seen at Jamestown Dental 2 or 3 times. The staff is very nice and either a dental assistant or the doctor himself came out to fill me in. It took about a month to be seen for a new patient visit, but only 7-10 days for follow-up appts. On 2 occasions we needed an emergency visit and called after hours and was seen the following day. They have a very nice area for younger children. It has a tv, always playing cartoons, toys, games and gumball style machines where I'm guessing younger: children are given a token by the dentist at the end of the visit. There are tv screens above The dental seat for a distraction and works well. The immediate surrounding area is rich with wildlife and the mountains provide a soothing atmosphere. They took the time to call me the following day to see how I was doing. My pain was adequately controlled which was a concern I had mentioned at my initial visit.

My dental Hygenist retired after serving me for 22 years. She was exceptional. A couple of years afterwards I noticed my pocket depths began to move from 1, 2, and 3s to 3, 4, and sometimes 5, plus an alarming 10 in one area. Recently at the UW clinic the pockets were almost all 2s again. This was after a year of having Lisa, at the Jamestown clinic as a hygenist. I am now with UW periodontics clinic. However, the Jamestown people: cindy at the front desk, and especially Lisa, the hygenist, as well as others there deserve a few appreciative words. Thanks for being there. Keep up the good work.
