Dr. Elaine is married to fellow orthodontist and business partner Dr. Jim Whitney, and in addition to their common interest in teeth, they have three children- Meg, Elise and Carolyn. In her spare time she enjoys pilates, reading and traveling.

Over the years Dr. Elaine has treated thousands of children and adults, and has enjoyed getting to know her patients and their families. She considers it a great privilege that so many have trusted her with their smiles!

Dr. James Whitney, called Dr. Jim by his patients, earned his bachelors degree at West Point. He then moved on to Case Western Reserves School of Dentistry where he earned his dental degree, as well as his masters in orthodontics. Dr. Jim then served seven years as an Army orthodontist in the United States and Germany.

Dr. Jim caught the dentistry bug honestly. His father was a dentist, and Dr. Jim always enjoyed being around dentistry when he was young. Today, he gets great satisfaction from working with children, and from helping children and adults look better, improve their oral health, and feel better about themselves.

Every patient is different and has different needs, and my staff and I love the interactions we have, Dr. Jim says. Im treating the children of people who were my patients years ago, and thats gratifying, too. Im also treating children in Haiti during the annual medical/dental missions Ive been involved with since 2000.

Dr. Jim finds orthodontics rewarding and intellectually challenging. It affords him the opportunity to work frequently with surgeons to correct skeletal and facial anomalies. He also enjoys being able to offer treatments such as self-ligating brackets and Invisalign to shorten treatment time and reduce the number of visits patients must make throughout treatment.

Dr. Tricia Robertson is a Nashville native who completed her undergraduate and dental degree at the University of Tennessee. She graduated with high honors and received numerous scholarships and awards for clinical achievements. Dr. Tricia then pursued her orthodontic specialty degree at the University of Detroit Mercy, where she did a masters thesis on bite discrepancies and temporomandibular joint disorders.

Dr. Robertson is married with two children: Moss III and Daxton. When she is not seeing patients in our office, she is a busy mom. Dr. Robertson loves to travel to Highlands, NC and Longboat Key, FL to visit her friends and family.

Dr. Meg Crabtree is a third generation dentist and second generation orthodontist who is proud to have practiced alongside her parents, Dr. Elaine Whitney and Dr. Jim Whitney. Her parents inspired her to pursue a career in the dental field and to eventually follow in their footsteps to specialize in orthodontics.

Born in Dallas and raised in Georgia, Dr. Crabtree loves working with our patients to give them the best smiles possible, functionally and aesthetically. It is rewarding to see patients who once felt self-conscious about their teeth complete treatment and proudly show off their smiles.

Besides being a good listener who takes her time to answer patients questions and explain treatment plans, Dr. Crabtree is committed to learning and staying current on the latest developments in orthodontic care. She has sought additional training in clear aligner therapy and Invisalign to provide her patients with the best care possible.

Dr. Crabtree earned a bachelors degree in exercise science from the University of Georgia before going on to the Medical College of Georgia to earn her doctor of dental medicine degree. From there, she went on to earn a specialty certificate in orthodontics from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Crabtree and her husband, Levi, have two daughters, Macy and Cora. When she isnt in the office improving smiles, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as digging into a good book.
