James T. Voorhees, DDSDr. Jim Voorhees grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and is one of six in a family of four boys and two girls. He attended Saint Louis Universityand received degrees in biology and psychology in 1982. Dr. Voorhees then attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistryand graduated in 1986. He located back to St. Louis after graduation and established his own dental office with his wife, Amy, whom he met in dental school. Amy is a registered dental hygienist.They remained in St. Louis and were blessed with three children, a son Tommy, and two daughters, Alli and Courtney.
In 1997, Dr. Voorhees moved his young family to Gainesville, Florida, and attended a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at theUniversity of Florida, College of Dentistry. Dr. Voorhees holds a certificate in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain. In September 1999, Dr. Voorhees assumed the office he currently operates. He and Amy love Kansas City and are long-standing members of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. His family has always been his main activity. Tommy graduated from KSU with a business marketing degree, Alli graduated from KU with a degree in secondary education, and his youngest daughter is attending the UMKC School of Dental Hygiene.Dr. Voorhees enjoys spending time in the country with his Chocolate Lab, Casey.

Amy and Dr. Voorhees have been married for 33+ years, after meeting in dental school at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Normally, youll see Amy at our front desk, but she is a certified dental hygienist and is able to treat patients whenever it is needed. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Amanda has been our Office Administrator for three years now. She has been in the dental field for 12 years, and has extensive knowledge with dental insurance and patient treatment coordination. Some of her favorite things include: her kids, MacKenzie and Trenton; her dogs, Kyrah and Kato; and cooking.
Courtney is Dr. Voorhees youngest daughter, and decided to follow in her parents footsteps. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Kansas, and graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2017 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is married and expecting her first child, which is Dr. Voorhees second granddaughter. Some of her favorite things include: playing beach volleyball, her dog Stella and spending time with family and friends.
Hannah completed her undergraduate education at Missouri Southern State University, while on a soccer scholarship. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Science with an associates degree in dental hygiene in 2018. She is originally from Des Moines, Iowa. Some of her favorite things include: her dog Nala, watching sports (especially the Hawkeyes) and working out.
Meghan completed her undergraduate education at Kansas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in May 2020. She is originally from Lawrence, Kansas. Some of her favorite things include being outdoors, spending time with her family and playing with her black lab, Hutch.
Brittnee is an expanded function and Cerec certified dental assistant. She has been in the dental field for 10 years. She is originally from Springfield and has two boys, Tanner and Jack. She likes to visit family in Florida and keeps busy with her kids.
