I will never go to another dentist again. Dr. Schirmer has a patient for life with me and my family. The staff was very friendly from the very start. They were easy to get ahold of, quick to get me in, informative, and just overall absolutely amazing. Dr. Schirmer himself was also super friendly and knowledgeable. I have zero complaints. I can't even nitpick to find something to complain about. The procedure itself was so quick and painless. I highly recommend this office. Five stars just isn't enough.

Great work, but frustrated receiving $$$ bill 8 months post procedure after told insurance would cover services.

The team at this office is incredible. From the front desk, to the assistants, to the doctor. Everyoje was incredibly kind and gave me all their information I needed for my wisdom teeth extractions. They're all patient and clearly have a passion for helping people. Coming from someone who was terrified about this procedure for years, I couldn't imagine a better experience than this office provided for me

I recently had 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Schirmer and his staff. My Mom also recently had a bone graft done on one tooth by Dr. Schirmer. This was the first surgical procedure I have had done, and it ended up being the BEST medical experience I have ever had. I went in 4 times in a 2 week span for care and never dreaded my visit. No pain, Dr. Schirmer made sure of that with my Mom & I both. He even went out of his way to call us PERSONALLY after our procedures to check on us/guide us toward recovery. That is next level care. The way Dr. Schirmer conducts his business is by way of true compassion and is unmatched in comparison to others. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr. Schirmer, if you are reading this, I have had an interaction with all of these people at least once in the past few weeks: Sidney, Olivia, Jessica, Jami, and Kaitlin. They all deserve a raise or some sort of incentive Lol. Thank you all!!!

Dr Schirmer & his team are very professional & efficient. I had 2 kids in his office today for wisdom teeth extractions and the team did a great job! They make sure you are comfortable & informed about every aspect of the surgery

Nearly impossible to get ahold of and then required a new referral after ghosting for months. Sent to voicemail 2 minutes after getting off the phone. Not reliable at all.

Sweet nurses... Took time to setup my appointment (had bad toothache). No pain, quick visit. No swelling. Dr, was kind enough to follow up with phone call. Highly recommend!

Dr. Schirmer extracted one of my molars and prepared the site for a dental implant. He and his staff were wonderful. His staff is very pleasant and attentive, and Dr Schirmer met with me before the procedure to thoroughly explain all the steps. He ensured the extraction was painless, and I have had literally zero pain and swelling following the procedure. His staff sent me home with detailed aftercare instructions, and Dr Schirmer even provided his personal cell phone number if I have questions after hours. I look forward to seeing Dr Schirmer and his staff for my final dental implant procedure in a few months. I read the negative reviews regarding the practice's billing process, but my experience was very fair and straightforward. A staff member took the time to check with my insurance provider to determine exactly what my part of the procedure cost would be and simply asked that it be paid either before the procedure (as a contactless Covid safeguard) or upon checking out the day of my appointment. Also, the waived $25 credit or balance that is addressed in one of the reviews is clearly outlined in the patient registration form and is an option totally up to the patient.

I dont usually leave reviews but if you are even within 2 hours driving distance, I recommend getting oral surgery through Dr. Schirmer. The staff is very friendly and know what they are talking about. Dr. Schirmer is amazing! He's calm, collected and professional, great for someone who is nervous to get a procedure done. If I need any more teeth pulled, Im calling Dr. Schirmer! P.S. Anyone willing to leave a negative review is just mad at life so don't listen to the negative Nancys!!

Okay, so this is a pre-surgery review, but I absolutely must say that working with Dr. Schirmer and his staff have been great. I live in Chicago with family in Ohio, and after getting an initial consultation in Chicago, I decided to go to Dr. Schirmer and see if I could get a better price/experience. Not only did Dr. Schirmer not charge me anything additional since I had my last doctor's notes on my wisdom teeth, he was very thorough and explained everything that needed to be done. To top it off, the quote I got for the surgery was half the price that it would have been in Chicago. To go even further, when I received dental insurance from my employer, Dr. Schirmer's practice accepted it and even called my insurance a month ahead to see what they would cover. It ended up being 80% and they called me directly to let me know. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Schirmer and his staff and I feel I am in good hands before my surgery. Thank you so much for making this process so easy.

I was referred by my dentist to Dr. Schirmer for an implant. Certainly, not anything I looked forward to; however, Dr. Schirmer was exceptional in explaining the process and the entire staff was friendly with every visit and answered my many calls ahead of the procedure and during follow up. I highly recommend their services!

Worst office staff I have ever experienced!! Extremely rude and disrespectful. Their billing practice is completely unethical!! They charged me upfront, even though my MEDICAL insurance paid 100% for this. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR MEDICAL INSURANCE COMPANY - Some do cover wisdom teeth removal 100%!! They also billed my dental insurance! They were paid by both! They refused to bill the initial visit as a surgical consult - which is EXACTLY what this was and kept my $75 on top of being paid by BOTH insurance companies!! This is unethical!! We have fought with them for almost 5 months over all of this. Make sure you read your office policy - on top of ALL of this - they want to keep any remaining balance owed to you that is $25 and under to help their administrative staff!!! Stay FAR away from this practice.
