Dr. Schechter has over 20 years of experience in the dental field and is passionate about helping patients achieve beautiful and healthy smiles. He graduated from New York University Dental School and concurrently received his Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University. Dr Schechter is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry. The prestigious Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession through lifelong learning. This award is one of the most recognizable designations in the dental profession today and serves as the standard to measure professional excellence.
Dr. Schechter's wife, Esther, is one of the Dental Hygienists in the office. Together they enjoy Ballroom Dancing as well as outdoor activities, including skiing, canoeing and hiking. They are the proud parents of beautiful twin daughters, Lauren and Talia, and grandparents of Orly, Aviv, Sivan, and Theo.

Dr. Schechter has comprised a team of highly qualified Dental Hygienists, Certified Dental Assistants, and Scheduling Coordinators that are here to help you and your family get the care you deserve. They are always willing to take the time necessary to ddress your concerns. Our team is excited about what they do, they have high standards of quality and integrity, and are motivated to achieve the best results for you and your family. Every member of our team is here to make your visit something extraordinary. At the same time, we have fun each day working with our patients and each other.
We pride ourselves on providing our patients with quality dentistry in accordance with each patient's individual needs. We strongly believe that patient education is the key to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. We offer high quality, state-of-the-art restorative and cosmetic services.
Andrea is a full-time Dental Hygienist in our office. She is very personable and fun to be with. Some of her favorite hobbies include eating (as well as cooking) gourmet food, reading, watching movies, traveling, and jet skiing.
Beth is a Dental Assistant and in charge of Teeth Whitening. Whether you are looking for a whitening procedure you can do at home, or the in-office 'Zoom' power bleaching, Beth can answer all your questions.
Jackie is a Dental Assistant and the Director of Spa Services. Jackie can bring you a warm neck wrap, custom lip balm to soothe your lips, a wireless headset to watch television, a blanket if you are cold, and neck and knee cushions to relax your muscles during your visit.
Esther is a dental hygienist in our office. She loves working with people and cares deeply about oral health care and prevention. Esther loves ballroom dancing, traveling, reading, spending time with her family, and participating in Vermont outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, and canoeing.
Sheryl is our patient coordinator. She's a native Vermonter and enjoys vegetarian cooking, running, and her two dogs Izzy and Rosie. She is married with a little boy. Sheryl loves working at the office and tries her best to greet each patient with a smile.
Angela is a Dental Hygienist in our office. Angela is a native Vermonter, raised in Colchester. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their children Jade and Ryder, and their dog Pablo. Angela is an avid runner, and loves spending time on Lake Champlain, boating and kayaking.

I have had Dr. Schechter as my dentist for over 15 years. He does excellent work and the staff is skilled, focused on patient care and pleasant to work with.

Dr. Schechter and staff always make sure I am not in any pain. They answer all my questions. The rooms have big windows that look out at large trees covered in snow (at least at this time of year), which is calming. Going to this dental office is, by far, one of the nicest dental experiences I have ever had.

Dr.Schecter is technically exceptionally skilled. That is matched by his kindness and generous spirit. While the staff is highly professional and always on time, I never feel rushed. No question is stupid. The office is beautiful, perfectly cleaned and maintained, and I know I'm in very good hands.

I've been a patient of Dr. Schechter's since 2002 when I lived across the street. At the time, it has been several years since I had seen a dentist. I used to think of them as "only when you need them" type of medical professional because of past dental experiences resulting from my own poor dental care. Dr. Schechter has always made me feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. He and his staff take the highest level of safety precautions when working on my teeth. On each visit, I am made to feel comfortable with clear explanations of what was happening and continued inquiries of how I was doing. Their sedation offering allowed me to get through some difficult procedures. As someone who has always hated dentists, I'm so glad I found Dr. Schechter. Now I have a healthy smile I am proud of!
