Dr. Jim grew up in the southern California area. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Cal Poly Pomona, He attended Dental School at The Ohio State University- College of Dentistry, also graduating Magna Cum Laude. From there, he did his Periodontics residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His published research there focused on pain control in dentistry.
Dr. Minutello is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology. He is recognized by his peers for his advanced techniques in Bone Regeneration and Dental Implant Surgery. Having placed over 15,000 dental implants since 1986, his experience andknowledge is enormous in this ever changing field. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He has been practicing in the inland area of southern California since 1987.
Dr. Ginny grew up in Manila and taught in the Philippines after graduating dental school. Wanting to expand her knowledge in Periodontics, she began her residency in Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and obtained a Master's degree and Certificate in Periodontics in 1988. Her published research involved Immunology, specifically on how inflammation relates to Periodontal Disease. She was Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry for a brief period and simultaneously established a private practice limited to Periodontics. While at Loma Linda University, she participated in research that investigated periodontal wound healing using varied types of periodontal treatments.
Dr. Minutello is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Her special interests include Cosmetic Soft Tissue Grafting and Laser Periodontal Treatment. She uses the only FDA approved laser for the treatment of Periodontal Disease.
Tricia D. Bato was born and raised in Southern California andachieved both her Bachelor ofScience Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics and her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Bato has been involved in severalresearch projects related to the specialty of Periodontics during both her college and dental school years. She successfully completed a three-year residency at the University of Southern California (USC) and earned her Certificate in Periodontology in 2007. She also received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Achievement in Periodontology and the California Society of Periodontists Award for Outstanding Periodontal Resident.
Dr. Bato is Board Certified in Periodontics and practices all aspects of periodontal and implant therapy. She is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association.In addition toprivate practice, Dr. Bato has held teaching positions at the UCLA School of Dentistry and at the Dental Hygiene Clinic at West Coast University.

I'm Chelsi, a Registered Dental Assistant with over 16 years in the dental profession. I acquired my degree, topping my class from the Regional Occupational Program in Orange County. My 10 year clinical experience of working chair-side with Drs. Minutello puts me in a position that is most beneficial to serving our patient as Treatment Coordinator. Besides assisting our patients navigate their financial responsibilities, I am equipped with answering the frequent concerns they may have about any of the procedures the doctors may recommend. As Hygiene Coordinator I ensure that all our patients who have completed active treatment remain on a Supportive Periodontal Therapy Program whether it be at their general dentist's office or ours.

I visited Dr. Minutello for an implant to replace a missing tooth. Despite the process requiring the implant to be anchored through my gums and into my jaw, I didn't experience any pain following the surgery. Amazing! Thanks to the Doctor, Judy, and all the staff.

Leaving this review for my mother. My mother underwent the gum grafting procedure and was told it would help her, but it turns out the procedure was pointless. They just wanted her money and she spent about $7,000 for nothing. Be wary of this place for procedures, it appears that money is their utmost priority. Stick to simple dental work, they can't steal your money that way. We were going to sue, but the process is very tedious and my mother is too old for this bs. I'd recommend looking at other places. Good luck.

Was referred to Dr. Bato for a badly cracked tooth. She was awesome in helping to alleviate my fear of dentists! Through entire process of extraction to implant she provided very excellent care! She even personally called me after first visit to make sure I was doing ok. The staff is very friendly, helpful and supportive! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Bato!

No one wants to go to the dentist! Why? Fear and fear of pain. Well, I was terrified the first time I visited Dr. Minutello. After I walked in I saw a difference. The staff are attentive and friendly. But, the most comforting factor is Dr. Minutello himself. He knows his craft very well. That's why he was recommended. But, more than that he is gentle and compassionate. When you are in that chair the apprehension melts away. He takes the time to make you feel comfortable. He explains everything. No rushing here. I told him about my apprehensions with needles. No, problem. He took care of that. I have absolutely no memory of any discomfort. As for the work he did. It is the best! Afraid? No problem! See Dr. Minutello!

A 5-Star review is not enough!!!! AWESOME, EXCELLENT, FABULOUS, BESTEST!!!!!! Dr. Bato, an associate of Dr. James Minutello is INCREDIBLE!!! I was in need of some emergency assistance, cracked tooth and big time infection. My dentist referred me to this office. Boy, I hit the jackpot. When entering, I was promptly met by the front office staff (Chelsa?). She was extremely nice and concerned about Covid. GREAT first impression. After filling out all of the new patient paperwork, I was passed off to Alex. She would be assisting in the procedure She was thorough and knowledgable. She went over what we were going to do and asked me a few times if I understood and had any questions. I asked one and she had the answer!!! I then met the "money person" (wish I had her correct title). She explained all of the costs up front. LOVED IT!!! Next up, was a meet with Dr. Tricia Bato. She would be doing the tooth extraction. Talk about white glove treatment. SHE ROCKS. Thoughout the procedure, she made sure there was no pain and that I was comfortable (numerous times she asked if everything was OK and she told me what she was doing). We took a couple of breaks for me to swallow and simply relax. When all was done, I thanked everyone for their time and care. As I was leaving, TJ, the office manager came out to make sure everything was OK. Boy, what service, what care. Later that night, I received a personal call from Dr. Bato, she was checking up on me, making sure everything was OK. Let's wrap this up with, TOTAL FIRST CLASS BUSINESS. Everyone I met there was here for me, making sure I had the best of care. Look no further for a great specialist. THIS PLACE IS STUPENDOUS!!! DR BATO ROCKS, ALEX SMASHES IT, CHELSA IS INCREDIBLE and TJ IS FABULOUS!!!!!

This is a review solely for customer service with the Staff. I have worked with this staff for some years now, and they are always humble even in these chaotic times. Really sweet and caring doctor, very conscientious. The office took time to sit down and go over the procedure and insurance coverage details. They also sent a sunflower bouquet to my house after the procedure (was very surprised, no medical office has ever done that for me before..).

Had a great experience! I Listen to music during the procedure and it was done fairly quick. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Always wanting to know how you are doing and feeling about dental work. Lastly, Dr.Minutello called me a few hrs after the procedure to make sure I was okay. Very thoughtful, I don't see this kind of service often.

I had a consultation with doctor Minutello. I felt very comfortable with everything that was being told to me. He was very confident and knowledgeable about my complex implant issue unlike many other Dentists I have visited about it. He was also very nice and so was the entire staff there like Linda and Judy!

A warm and efficient office staff together with an accomplished and friendly surgical staff complement Dr. Minutello's superb surgical skills. I spent two hours yesterday having a challenging extraction and then an implant insertion done, and I actually enjoyed the experience! Follow up instructions given me by Mel were wonderfully helpful. And Dr. Minutello called me last night to ascertain my reaction to the surgery. A model of Dental Health care! Humane!
