I visited Dr Mullane for the first time right after my general dentist told me I'd developed an infected tooth since my last regular check-up. The doctor's support staff was very cheerful, friendly and helpful when I arrived. I felt comfortable right away. I was the first patient of the day and Dr Mullane saw me right away. He was able to remove my tooth within a minute or two, without any pain. I was amazed at how fast he pulled it out. He projected complete confidence and I was very reassurted by this. He talked with me a bit about New York City and I greatly enjoyed hearing his thoughts. In sum, an excellent experience! I've seen a lot of dentists in my life and he was one of the best.

Dr. Mullane was the only oral surgeon in RI/CT I called who was able to make time to urgently remove my wisdom tooth that was causing a great deal of pain. The procedure was seamless and efficient. I had minimal pain post procedure that was cured with over the counter medications. I am very thankful for Dr. Mullane! His staff were very knowledgeable and helpful as well.

I was running a bit late but they accommodated me none the less. I was kind of in rush to get my tooth extracted because this was my last procedure before I get braces. Now in the past few months I've been to get a lot of work done his office was definitely the most out dated. Also he was not very pleasant basically the bed side manner of a roach. The assistant was cold and not comforting at ALL. A lot of his tools are metal where as in other offices they use plastic to hold your mouth open. I get he is an older dentist so I'm not going to age shame him, but he has to stay up to date with the new tools and technology if he keeps practicing. I got a sloppy stitch job and was sent on my way. The secretary was a bit of a bobble head praising the doctor relentlessly. It's was a very awkward experience overall. After reading other reviews I realized that's his wife it all makes sense now

This man is a butcher and super disrespectful of those on state insurance and is known throughout the recovery community as having no care or compassion for those that are in recovery and have struggled with addiction in the past. His wife works at the office and her and the office staff openly discuss HIPPA sensitive information openly in front of other clients such as the person being a addict, being on state insurance. They also openly share their beliefs that anyone on state insurance is lazy and doesn't work, looking for a handout etc. The man must be in his 80's and needs to retire. Also heard unkind words about a woman of color who went into the office before me. Not to mention the horror stories I got when mentioning him at a recovery meeting because I was upset and sharing only to get loads of others responding back regarding not only his treatment of the recovery community but pulling teeth when clients said they weren't numb enough, leaving pieces of the tooth in, dismissing patient concerns. It is sad this man is the only oral surgeon in south county that takes State of RI insurance. Also his reviews are either 1 star or 5 stars including a 5 star review given by a family member of his which I have reported to google. Usually when it's only 5 and 1 star reviews and nothing in between it's a good sign the company is offsetting one star reviews with 5 star reviews. People don't have the best experience of their lives at the same place people are having the worst with no in between reviews. Because A in between fake 2-3 star review doesn't offset the 1 star real reviews. Avoid this racist, economically hateful, no compassion for those in recovery from addiction let alone no idea how he would treat a current addict and all around butcher of a surgeon who needed to retire years ago. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!

Horrible people! Receptionist is rude and will literally hang up on you. All she talks about is how she's overworked because "everyone wants welfare" and they can't hire any help. Doctor's assistant is cold & dismissive. I didn't feel like they cared about me at all. I will seek other dentists if I ever need one in the future. Of course they don't need me. All the receptionist talks about is how the doctor "has millions" and chooses to work anyway, even though no one else wants to "because they make more money from the government."

I went to Dr. Mellini a week ago after searching forever for a oral surgeon we're I live, he is the ONLY one around. Both his receptionist were nice an worked with me knowing I have no income an state insurance, Now, my teeth are Bad! He did not judge me like others have, his assistant was GRATE... honestly the only complaint I have is I don't have the money to go back an do the rest of my teeth that need to be done. I've already had two infections in my spine from my teeth an I'm scared I'm going to get another if they don't come out. So to anyone that has nothing nice to say please keep it to ur self or there's not going to be a place for ppl like me that really need there teeth out anymore. They seriously are the last one around here, an I really need There help. Anyone with bad teeth know what I'm talking about. Thank you for ur help Dr. Mellini's office..... C.Ross

I can't say enough good things about this man. He extracted my wisdom teeth 35+years ago at South County hospital ; my teeth were deeply embedded and it was an hour and a half surgery. He drove to my home that night and checked with my husband on my condition. About 10 years ago, he extracted my son' s teeth. Andrew has. autism and the Dr. and staff were great with him. He took Andrew's insurance, even though I know his insurance gave him very little. He would have been within his rights to refuse it. God bless you, Dr. Mullane!

The receptionist is really rude and unprofessional. The doctor and assistant weren't rude but weren't welcoming either. No introduction or anything. I wish the assistant was a little more comforting during the procedure. I went in to see if a few wisdom teeth needed to come out since my dentist gave me xrays to give to them. The doc did a quick exam, I told him im not in pain but was referred to them to examine further. They didnt think it was absolutely necessary to do the extraction and I agreed that if it isnt needed to be done then I dont need to do it. I never had any dental work done before so I was going along with them since I didnt know what to expect. But then they decided to try and do the extraction. Now im in pain and went through that grief for no reason. They were unsuccessful at doing the extraction and then told me just leave it because it doesn't need to be done. ??????? Then why end up doing it? Im livid. I guess the only positive thing I can take away from that place is they didnt charge me for the whole visit/procedure, just the 60 dollar visit. Even then i feel like I shouldn't even be paying that. I suggest steering clear of here.

This place is so unprofessional. The doctor is grumpy. It seems like he hate his job because he complained about how Well One dental always refer patients to him. He was annoyed. The lady at the front desk is also rude and unprofessional for no reason. She hung up on me 3 months ago because I called to see if she received the clearance letter from my hematologist approving that I can have the extractions while on blood thinners. For some reason they was having a hard time receiving the fax. She told me to go elsewhere and hung up. I tried again after 3 months.Again,.She is rude. She placed me on hold and I overheard her talking rudely to a guy named Sam (poor Sam). Then she hangs up. I call back her response was she had too many people on hold. Ok, so why couldn't you tell me to call back at another time instead of hanging up in my face...

I've been there twice so far for removal of the rear molars in my lower jaw, both of them were rotted and fractured I was worried that he'd have a hard time getting them out but he made it look easy, I was impressed. Staff is friendly I was able to get an appointment very quickly on both occasions. They got me right in and out, very professional and efficient. Will definitely be going back again.

Dr.Mullane and his staff made me feel welcome from the second I walked in. Clean and cozy waiting room with comfy seating. Nice conversation with the staff before my procedure. Once in the chair, everything went smoothly with lots of laughs and good stories to ease my anxiety, as we waited for the numbing medication to set in. Once the meds went into affect, before I knew it, my problem tooth was out. In and out. Clean, fast and probably the most pleasant tooth pull I've ever had and hope to ever have. If I ever have a problem with another tooth I will go back 100%. Thank you for your help and the wonderful stories Dr.Mullane. Sincerely, Corey Topp

I have always had a fear of dental work and get extremely anxious. I saw Dr. Mullane today for a wisdom tooth extraction and he was great. He was not judgemental over the state of my teeth and was very reassuring throughout the procedure which helped with my anxiety immensely. His assistant was also very calming and very polite. Before I knew it he was done and I had no damage to the surrounding teeth which are also not in the best condition.
