Dr. James Weller combines over 40 years of chair-side experience with state of the art technology. He has devoted his career to establishing a family practice and it brings him great joy to now have patients from three generations of Baltimore families.
Dr. Weller and his team take pride in alleviating dental fear for patients who might not be comfortable in the chair. He is relaxed, kind, gentle with a great sense of humor. He is known to sing and dance, always keeping his patients and staff laughing.
Dr. Wellers team of professionals will work with you to help you feel comfortable while receiving dental care. He warmly welcomes new patients and families to the practice conveniently located in the heart of Towson.
Dr. Weller earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Weller continues to be an active member of The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Dental Association and The Maryland State Dental Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Weller is an avid fisherman. He enjoys playing the guitar, biking, traveling and archeology. He and his wife, Terri, live in Stoneleigh where they raised their three children. Dr. Weller has four granddaughters who he loves to visit as much as he can.
Dr. Weller supports and has been active in a variety of charitable organizations during his career. He is a supporter of Health Care for the Homeless and supports their fund raising efforts annually. He has received special recognition of his support from the organizations shown below, which he continues to support.

Clean, friendly, stays on schedule, professional & actually makes it fun to be @ the dentist. Dr Weller, this photo was taken by Peggy @ a recital while I was taking music lessons. Peggy had forwarded the photos she took that night to a woman who's son was also taking lessons & was performing that night also. That woman, her son or both must be patients of yours & she forwarded the photo to your facebook account! Small world!

Incredible doctor and staff. Everyone is very friendly. Dr Weller is compassionate, unassuming, and not judgemental at all. There's no nonsense either. Dr Weller gets right to work after hearing you out. Scheduling appointments is easy, and includes text message reminders the day before. The office is also modern, clean, and comfortable.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Weller for 40+ years. Our kids who are still in town continue to be patients of Dr. Weller, as well. He is very professional and caring, while at the same time being laid back, frequently funny and a terrific dentist. I cannot recommend Dr. Weller more highly.

I had neglected my dental care for far too long. I had legitimate reasons for not liking dentists. Abcess and four extractions at age 11, braces for 4.5 years 12-17, impacted wisdom teeth at 29 (developed dry socket). Now on the threshold of 60 I had a piece break off 1 molar, then another. It wasn't until the 3rd severely broken tooth that I conceded something had to be done. I was referred to Dr. Weller by my sister-in-law. Since I had no other recommendations as good, I made the appointment. All I can say is that if ANY of my previous experiences had been as positive as these past four I probably would have been more diligent in my dental care. Everyone in the office is personable and pleasant. I can safely say I have never laughed as much at a dentist appointment as I have at these. I was clearly on edge at the 1st appointment for cleaning. Dr. Weller came out introduced himself and assured me this was going to be no big deal. The hygienist faced with the herculean task was patient, non-judgmental and encouraging. She even recommended I try a Water-pik Sonic Fusion for keeping plaque in check. I ordered one from Amazon that night and it is ready showing dividends. Since that initial cleaning I have been back to have the severely broken tooth repaired, one of the other broken teeth ground down (they call me Nubby) and fitted with a crown and I'm going back to have the 3rd crowned in three weeks. Thus far the most pain I've experienced is my out-of-pocket co-pays!

Best Dentist I've ever had. EVER! And I'm in my 40's! Everyone in the office, all the staff, are super nice, pleasurable and accommodating. My whole family goes there as well. My 7 year old was complaining about a tooth that hurt. I called Dr. Weller's office around 9:30 in the morning and was able to get an appointment the SAME day. Plus, they don't try to recommend bunch of unnecessary procedures that aren't really needed like a lot of other Dentist do. Whenever someone asks, I always recommend Dr. Weller.
