Dr. James N. Aldridge lives in northern Cabell County, where he grew up on his parents farm. He attended public schools and graduated from Barboursville High School in 1973. Dr. Aldridge then did his undergraduate at West Virginia and Marshall Universities. He entered dental school at WVU in 1977, graduating in 1981.
After passing the Northeast regional boards and the WV state boards, Dr. Aldridge started as an associate in Huntington for one year. He opened his own office in November 1982. Dr. Aldridge remains in his original office at 350 Fifth Ave.
Dr. Aldridge has a family practice and sees patients of all ages. He has received an honor from the Autism Society of WV. He provides cleanings, white fillings restorations, extractions, and crowns of all porcelain and various metals. Partial and full dentures and bridges are available. He is a member of the American Dental Association, WV Dental Association, and the Huntington Dental Society.

Did not offer options; he just automatically assumed I was on welfare and couldn't afford any of the alternatives. Very dismissive and unhelpful.

This was my first time going to Dr. Aldridge, and it won't be my last. I went in for a routine cleaning and needed some extra work done. The dental hygienist, Kathryn, was very helpful and provided lots of education and helpful recommendations for optimal dental care. Dr. Aldridge was very kind and informative as well. I highly recommend this place!

Do not recommend. He did not want to fix my teeth. Kept suggesting to get teeth pulled instead of repairing them. I thought the hygienist was going to pull my crowns off. Very rough. Signed a release of dental records and three weeks later my new dentist still doesn't have them. Very disappointed.

I was delivering in town and started developing a bad tooth ache and I decided to just have it pulled. I called around and these guys said they did tooth extractions, made an appointment for me later that day and I went in. Turned out my teeth were worse than I thought and I needed 3 pulled and while painful, he managed to get them out, give me antibiotics and sent me packing. Staff was very polite and even though I had teeth pulled I couldn't be happier with my choice. Plus, it was cheap.
