Dr. McGee was born and raised in Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994 with a B.S. in Biology, he went to dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson, MS. In 1997, he graduated from dental school with a D.M.D. degree and moved to Atlanta where he met his wife Amber. Dr. McGee and his wife have a beautiful daughter named Bella Rose McGee. Once in Atlanta, Dr. McGee immediately began practicing dentistry in a large group practice. In 1998, Dr. McGee opened his own practice in Stone Mountain, Ga where he has been practicing ever since. He has dedicated his professional career to providing his patients with the best that dentistry has to offer. He also continues to educate himself and his staff on the newest dental techniques and procedures to provide his patients with comfortable and personalized dental care. Dr. McGee has the great ability to put his patients at ease and his patients usually leave with a laugh and a smile on their faces.
Dr. McGee is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Northern District Dental Society. In addition to his own practice, Dr. McGee donates his services to the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in downtown Atlanta. He has also been involved with the Dominican Republic Dental Mission Project and Volunteers in Medical Missions where he provided dental services to the people of the Dominican Republic and Honduras.

Worse customer service ever. The person who picked up the phone today told me to find somewhere else since I missed my appointment. I am a mother and my son was very sick. How could she tell me to go find somewhere else? She said she rather see someone else but not me. She was so rude and disrespectful. This person should get fired. Because she has no respect. Terrible customer service. you are right. At this point, I should go somewhere else. Because no way in hell I want to hear or see her nasty attitude.

I do not recommend this practice!!! Do not take your minor child here!!! They will call the child to the back and STOP YOU IN YOUR TRACKS saying you can't go back with them!!! When I requested to go in the back to see my child she was in A chair and A hygienist came in with prescriptions for her and everything. I still have no idea what was done or what prescriptions were written and what for!!! I never laid eyes on the dental doctor. This was A horrible experience and the way I was treated was unbelievable. The front desk receptionist needs to retire because she's super rude, rolls her eyes and laughs in your face like she's annoyed. She's obviously tired and sick of her job. The hygienist with the purple dreadlocks in her hair was rude and demanding. She treated me like I had no right to check on my child or ask any questions!!! Update: Turns out the receptionist Maggie is the dental doctor's mom in law. This is why she's so comfortable being rude and dismissive to his patients. She knows there won't be any disciplinary action because he's married to her daughter. I CALLED BACK TO ASK THAT THE X-RAYS BE EMAILED TO MY CHILD'S DENTIST OFFICE. SHE WAS ARGUMENTATIVE AND IMMEDIATELY STARTED CONFRONTING ME ABOUT THIS REVIEW SAYING "IM REALLY NOT THAT OLD". WHERE IN THIS REVIEW DID I SAY SHE WAS OLD?? Sounds like her own insecurities. Then goes on to tell me she was rolling her eyes and acting annoyed with me because I was rude. How is asking to be present with my child being rude. I was polite with her. She even went on to tell me she has already deleted the X-ray (only an hour after it was taken) yet we were billed for it. Tread lightly here. I don't believe all the 5 star reviews at all.

This is a trash practice with his mama running the front. I broke my tooth and the earliest I could get in was 45 days later. I went to another dentist that got me in immediately. Ended up cracking another and was told that they couldn't get me in for 30 days. When I asked on the phone what they do for patients if it's an emergency she had the nerve to tell me, "find somewhere else to go" SO I DID!!!! THEN, they had the nerve to send me a letter terminating our relationship. Oh don't worry. I found a WONDERFUL dentist and I wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE. Even the one person I did recommend is terrified to go back and wants to switch get practice. They are the worst. DO NOT go here.

I've been going to Dr. Mcgee since I was 10 years old and i'm now 22, he's the best! The office is super friendly and accommodating.

My son had a cavity. I took him into the office to get this filled. They don't let the parents go back. Months later we found out they never filled the cavity. When I called to ask about what happened I spoke with a old women. Who was rude and dismissive. I will not be going back. Don't take your kids to this office

Wow is all I can say! Everyone from the front desk to the dental hygienist to Dr. McGee were amazing! My wife and I had an appointment this morning and probably like you were looking at reviews to find the right dentist. Trust me I'm not paid for this review they were AMAZING!!!! (Even tho Dr. Mc gee told me I had a bunch of cavities hahah) not his fault but mine! I sadly hadn't seen a dentist in 10 years because of my last experience and I was completely turned off. However my hygienist was so nice and professional I'm super mad because I didn't get her name but she was African American and was amazing! Can't wait for my 6 week check up. A true hidden gem.

I'm elated to give my five stars. The staff is amazing starting from Ms.Maggie to Dr James....I found his business base off of reviews and I'm very pleased... if you're looking for comfort and a family outside of yours atmosphere Dr.McGee will be your go to Dentist

Was a little nervous to get my fillings done as you can see in the picture lol!! I love love love this place!! This is my second time leaving a review and I will continue to do it! I love this dentist office so much I have my wife, my 3-year old son, brother and mom going now lol. Also if you're scared to get fillings have no worries they are awesome at making sure you're comfortable and you won't feel a thing! Well at least I didn't lol.

I know when I sit in his chair, I can exhale because they are going to take good care of me.

I came in with my pain on 1000.... the staff was very nice. It was a assistant he had. I forgot her name. She has purple dreds. She was so helpful. She had my hand cause I'm a baby. I'm new to the state . And coming from such a small town I felt very comfortable. And when my mouth heals. I will be back for a cleansing. I found a dentist. Thank u so much.
