Dr. Krochmal is a graduate of the University of Maryland and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. Upon graduation he served in the United States Navy Dental Corps. After his naval service, he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and completed a post residency fellowship in facial pain and reconstructive surgery at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Active in state and local dental and oral surgery societies, Dr. Krochmal has served as the President of the Tidewater Dental Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Dental Association for 10 years and on the Executive Council of the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons serving in several positions including President. He has been honored with fellowships in the Virginia Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Society, American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.

The doctor is amazing the receptionist Wendy is terrible. Constantly cut me off and couldn't even acknowledge how she cut me off. I worked in the customer service industry and if you're not humble enough to admit your wrong please don't do it. Once I'm done with my appointment this coming Monday finding a new oral surgeon. I have no time nor patience dealing with individuals who are too prideful to apologize.

Great oral surgeon! I recommend to anyone in need of oral surgery of any kind. Staff is super nice and makes you feel comfortable; the nurse talks with you like an old friend. Dr. Is very knowledgeable and does great, quick, and safe procedures. I was nervous to have a molar pulled but it was over before I even noticed. They also got me in fairly quick compared to other surgeons who were booked until July. Will definitely be bringing anyone with oral surgery needs to DDS Krochmal!

The doctor was great I went in and was supposed to get one wisdom tooth taken out but by the time my surgery date came around I had another one and he took them both out no problem
