Dr. Kakos was born and raised in Chicago. He completed his undergraduate education at Marquette University and then received his dental degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1991. Following graduation, Dr. Kakos went on to complete a two-year externship at the Midwest Implant Institute where he received his surgical and prosthetic implant training. Dr. Kakos is also a licensed dental anesthesiologist and a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Kakos has an extensive continuing education record. His pursuit of excellence drives him to attend and participate in some of the most advanced continuing education available; consequently, he received the distinction of fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, which only five percent of the dentists in the United States have achieved. In addition, Dr. Kakos is a member of numerous other associations and academies, including the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, sustaining member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Kakos is also a graduate and preferred provider of the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, know as LVI. This institute trains only the top 10 percent of cosmetic dentists worldwide and has been showcased on the ABC show Extreme Makeover.

You know what my teeth like? They like a dental team who stay on top of their game. They like to go where everybody knows their name -- particularly #13. The incisors catch the public's eyes, but bicuspids are very important, and my #13 likes personal recognition. Which Dr Kakos, Emma my hygienist and the entire team give. I am always happy to see them and spend as little time in the office as possible. Because THAT is how good their care is: my teeth thrive. I strongly recommend Dr Kakos and his team. His practice balances experience and innovation to achieve a high standard of care. Specifically: professional, friendly, able to explain evolving medical conditions that impact my teeth and mouth, AND they give me a choice of polish flavors and toothbrush colors. Now I sound like I'm 5, but honestly who doesn't want good care AND a gold toothbrush? I've been with Dr Kakos over 20 years and have referred him to everyone who asks. And some who don't, because you never know when a random act of dental kindness is needed.

Dr.Kakos is an exceptionally skilled dentist. He has been my dentist for many years and the work he has done for me has always exceeded my expectations. I was always very anxious about going to the dentist until I found Dr. Kakos. The close attention he pays to assure that I am comfortable is rare and so appreciated. His dental assistants, hygienists and office staff are all exceptional as well.

I've been going to Dr Kakos for at least 10+ years. He has done major work on my mouth. I'm very pleased with the results and don't ever plan to change dentists unless I absolutely have to!! All of the staff are terrific. - Nicole, Kathy, Marcy, and the receptionist ( sorry I don't remember her name). Keep up the good work, team!!!!!

Dr. Kakos is absolutely amazing! I'm a new patient and could not be more pleased! My daughter and husband have been going to see Dr. Kakos for awhile and each of them have had a variety of work done. Every procedure they have had has been a great experience. Well I am disappointed. I broke a tooth and needed a crown. I am from out of the area. I have several crowns that are done properly, this one was not. The crown was too short and was not anchored sufficiently under the gum line like the others. This chintzy crown broke off. I would like to offer this dentist an opportunity to do the right thing and do this crown over at his expense.
