James J. Fitzgerald, D.D.S. graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1985. Prior to studying at Georgetown Dental School, he attended St. Johns University, where he received a B.S. in Biology, Magna Cum Laude in 1981.
James J. Fitzgerald, D.D.S. has been practicing all aspects of General Dentistry for over 29 years, with a focus on Restorative, Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry. Since he began practicing dentistry, he has taken over 1600+ hours of continuing education, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care possible.
He has studied at the renowned L.D. Pankey Institute, The Dawson Academy and is a Fellow in The Pierre Fauchaud Academy. James J. Fitzgerald, D.D.S. is the Chief of Restorative Dentistry and the Assistant Program Director in the Department of Dental Medicine at Interfaith Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society, where he is a member of the Board of Directors and served as its president in 2007.
Tanya A. Modica, D.M.D. graduated from Temple Universitys Kornberg School of Dentistry. Prior to her dental studies, she attended Wagner College where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology, Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduating from Temple University, she completed her General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center Department of Dental Medicine in Brooklyn, NY. During her residency, she expanded upon her knowledge of general dentistry and was able to treat patients with more complex dental needs.

Dr. Fitzgerald and staff are great in every aspect. Right when I walked in the receptionist greeted me and took all covid protocol questions. After, I had my cleaning done by Dr. Fitzgerald. He took his time and explained everything to me. I have been to other practices before but I have never had such a great cleaning done before. Dr. Fitzgerald went over all my x-rays with me and discussed future treatment plans. I felt comfort in knowing that I was in good hands and will continue to come here for all my dental needs. Thank you Dr. Fitzgerald and staff.

The staff was extremely welcoming and nice, the receptionist was helpful and efficient, the assistants were caring and friendly. Dr Fitzgerald has so much knowledge and answered all my questions honestly. He would never let me leave if he didn't feel 100% with his work and I appreciate that in a dentist. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Fitzgerald is incredibly thorough. He is a perfectionist: a great quality in a dentist. Additionally, the office is always updated with the latest technology; Dr. Fitzgerald never stops evolving. I've been a patient for many years and am very happy.
