Dr. Kotsianas earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology in 1978. He went on to graduate from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. His professional memberships include The American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, the Second District Dental Society and various study clubs including ITI -International Team for Implantology. Dr. Kotsianas is married with three grown children and several grandchildren and enjoys UT sports, golfing and fishing. Dr. Kotsianas is an active member of REO Referral Exchange Organization, St. George Greek Orthodox Church and has been an involved member of the Rotary Club of Bearden for over 20 years.
Becky has enjoyed working for her brother-in-law for over 25 years as his Office Manger. Becky graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition and worked as a Dietitian in both clinical and administrative settings for 5 years before moving into dentistry. Becky and her husband John enjoy spending time with their grown children and new grandchildren. She enjoys music, traveling, gardening, cooking, reading a good book and Zumba fitness.
Mateya graduated from Hiwassee College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Administration. Mateya grew up in Maryville with her three siblings and comes from a big family living in Texas. She is married to her childhood sweetheart Jonathan, and has a cat named Mila. Mateya enjoys kayaking, reading, music, playing games and puzzles.
Christi lives in Knoxville with her family, but she is originally from Huntsville, Alabama. Christi lives and breathes for Alabama Football. Christi has been in the dental field for more than thirty years. She attended Roane State Community College where she graduated Magnum Cum Laude with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She continued her studies at East Tennessee State University with a BS degree in Dental Hygiene. Christi is licensed in Local Anesthesia and the Administration and Monitoring of Nitrous Oxide. Christi has worked for Dr. Kotsianas since 2014. Her main objective is to give her patients a thorough gentle cleaning and to educate them on proper oral hygiene.
Dennise began her career as a dental assistant after graduating from Tennessee Technology Center in 1997 and has been employed by Dr. Kotsianas for over 20 years. She enjoys reading, camping, spending time with her family, contemporary Christian concerts and traveling with her husband Tim. She and Tim also enjoy cheering on the Central High School Bobcats where her daughter plays trumpet in the marching band.
Rachel received her dental assistant training in the United States Air Force stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. She has been in the dental field for 26 years. Rachel grew up in upstate New York and has been living in Tennessee since 2005 where she resides with her husband Walter, son and stepchildren. Rachel enjoys painting, arts and crafts, camping and baking cakes for her business Rachels Sweet Connections.
Tammy and her husband recently returned from spending four years in Kentucky where she worked as a Front Desk/Insurance Coordinator at a dental office. She is happy and blessed to be back in East Tennessee. Her hobbies include sewing/quilting, reading, scrapbooking and cooking. She enjoys quiet time at home and spending time with her family and dogs Molly and Gus. Tammy was raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, but spent her summers at her familys home in Gatlinburg, TN.

This office runs perfectly. I was in the chair, and receiving my services by my scheduled appointment time (no waiting)! Each staff member that I interacted with was professional and friendly, and the office itself was well-kept and clean. Scheduling follow-up appointments was easy, and fees/insurance were clearly explained.

I HATE going to the dentist - like full on have to take a Valium hate! But, my experience with Dr. Jim and his staff was great! They made me feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Kotsianis is great dentist first of all. Secondly he surrounds himself with great support staff. I just had my annual cleaning with Daisy/Dental Hygienist. I Cannotsay enough good things about her. Not any pain or discomfort AT ALL and my teeth literally squeaky clean when she was through! I highly recommend Team Kotsianis!

My wife was in a car accident some years earlier and we were going to another dentist which we were uncomfortable with when Dr. Kotsianas was recommended to us. We went for a consultation concerning implants and other work. Dr. Kotsianas went through everything in detail and explained why he would do things differently. Not only do we think things came out better but we saved a couple of thousand dollars also. Some added work didn't need to be done. When he was finished with the implants it was the first time in years my wife had a glowing smile. I wish I had a "before" picture. I had to have a partial done some time later and it fit like a glove from day one.

First, this office gets you in the chair at the appointed time. I really like that. Second, everyone is very friendly and professional and puts you at ease. Third, all cleanings and dental work have been completely painless. What more can you ask from a dental practice???

Dr. Jim and this staff are absolutely wonderful! They are so compassionate, kind, caring and knowledgeable. I came to them after a bad experience with another dentist, so I was definitely nervous.
