The goal of the caring providers and support staff at the office of Dr. James Jacobs & Dr. Tara Bogart is to provide high-quality periodontal care to men, women, and families in Midtown West, Manhattan, and throughout the New York City metropolitan area.

Expert periodontists James E. Jacobs, DMD, and Tara A. Bogart, DDS, lead the practice and bring more than 60 years of combined experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease with them. They also specialize in periodontal surgery, cosmetic periodontal proceduresincluding gummy smiles and gum recessiondental implant surgery, bone grafting, periodontal regeneration, and laser periodontal therapy. Additionally, both clinicians are LANAP certified by Millennium Dental Technologies, Inc.

People of all ages can access a variety of other treatments as well, including non-surgical periodontal therapy, oral cancer screenings, periodontal surgery, gum grafting, osseous surgery, supportive periodontal therapy, dental extractions, and care for cold sores.

Received her BA in Business Administration from Pace University in 1993. She lectures frequently at the New York County Dental Society on Preparing your Dental Office for Electronic Record Keeping. She has been working with Dr. Jacobs for 17 years.

Has an Associates degree in Business Administration with over 15 years of Medical and Dental Office Administration across multiple specialties. She has been working with Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Bogart for over six years.
