Dr. James Prigmores professional and ethical standards dictate that only necessary treatment is done with the precision that assures long-term dental health. We intend to prevent the need for future treatment by educating and motivating our patients in dental hygiene and proper diet.

Dr. Prigmore is a general dentist in the truest sense of the term. He performs all facets of dentistry such as dentures, partials, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, limited braces, and of course, fillings. In addition, Dr. Prigmore is proud to offer high-quality dental care to children to ensure they have a healthy, beautiful smile for life.

Dr. Prigmore has been a member of three study clubs involving general dentistry, oral medicine, and implants. He takes almost double the California Board of Dental Examiners Requirement of 50 CE units every two years.

Although Dr. Prigmore strives to consistently provide precision dental care and demands the highest standards, his proudest moments come on a more human level. A typical example is a patient we will call Jeff. Jeff is a married father of two teenagers. Jeff has a leadership role in the community and Jeff was a dental phobic. Walking in the front door would cause him to panic. He would sweat, shake, and fidget. Avoiding dental care caused his mouth to be devastated. We treated him just as we treat all of our patients. We listened to his concerns, addressed his fears and generally held his handmetaphorically and in actuality. We started slowly with simple procedures. His confidence grew as he learned that dentistry could be painless. He is now a consistent patientalong with his wife and two children.

La Toya is the nexus of our practice. Her organizational skills, coupled with her knowledge of dentistry, as well as insurance systems, provide the necessary components of an exceptional practicemanager.

It is La Toya who implements and maintains our office systems and procedures, while providing the training to staff as we incorporate state of the art technology. She is proficient at simplifying and explaining complex treatment plans and allowing our patients to complete their dentistry at a pace that is comfortable for them. La Toya has an extensive dental backgroundmore than 26 years of experience as a dental assistant and practice manager. She has been with Dr. Prigmore since 2004.

La Toya is a prized member of our team and is extremely committed to the dental profession. She has the flexibility and knowledge to make your dental treatment affordable. She continually adds to her knowledge base with continuing education focused on computer technology and insurance billing which allows her to maximize our patients insurance benefits.

Marcella has been working as a registered dental hygienist for 11 years and truly loves her job. She enjoys working with our patients to motivate and encourage them to improve their oral hygiene. It is extremely gratifying for her to see the progress many of our patients have made in improving and maintaining the health of their gums.

Marcella has been a member of Dr. Prigmores staff for more than six years, and is always impressed by his long-term experience. She appreciates how he takes the necessary time to thoroughly explain treatment options with his patients. He has the ability to help apprehensive patients feel comfortable and relaxed.

Besides working in our practice to promote oral health Marcella also volunteers in the community to promote oral health. She has worked in sealant clinics in elementary schools in Richmond and Vallejo. She also works bi-monthly in a local nursing home to provide oral hygiene instruction and care to the residents.

Krissy is one of the registered dental assistants for Dr. Prigmore. She has been in the dental field for two years and went to Blake Austin College for dental assisting. Krissy has always been interested in the dental field and enjoys learning about all of the new techniques and advancements. She loves giving our patients more confidence in their smile in any way that she can. Krissy understands the nervousness and anxiety that some of our patients have, and does her best to make them feel at ease about their procedure.

Krissy married her husband, Shane, in October of 2013. In her spare time, she spends a lot of time with her family, friends, and pug. She enjoys hosting get-togethers (especially BBQs during the summer), keeping up with her many reality TV shows, and going on weekend trips with her husband.

Kelly has been a registered dental hygienist for 26 years, and has worked for Dr. Prigmore for 25 of those years. This longevity has allowed her to treat and educate several generations of each family in our practice. She finds it very rewarding to know that she has made a difference in the health of their teeth and gums. As part of the hygiene department, Kellys main goal is to establish the importance of healthy oral hygiene with our patients and explain the problems that may result from neglect. She works together with the rest of the team to make our patients feel confident that they are getting the best care possible.
